Healing from a Systemic Blood Infection

Here is an example of the Power of the Almighty God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It happened just over seven years ago now. My mother in law got a blood infection while she was at work. By the evening of the same day, she was in the hospital in intensive care, in a coma. We were called and drove to Edmonton.

When we got there a couple of days later, she was swollen up. Her arms and legs were black like a car tire, as was most of her face. All her internal organs had shut down and she was on life support machines. The doctor told us she had a 2% chance of living the week and if she did they would have to amputate her arms, legs and most of her face because the flesh was already dead and beginning to slough. A horrible sight indeed.

We waited until everyone left. My wife and I were alone with her in the room. It was 11:30 pm. I opened the Bible to James and read.

James 5: 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

We prayed as I anointed her with oil. Then we left and went to Denise’s sister’s house where we were staying. At 6:30 am the next morning we got a phone call from the hospital that she was awake. The charge nurse said that her blood infection went from lethal to non-detectable between two consecutive tests. Within two days they had turned off all the machines because all her organs had restarted. Her flesh began to restore over the next few weeks. She walked out of that hospital.

Now we know that God is no respecter of persons. If he will answer my prayer according to his word, then he MUST also answer yours under that same conditions, or he is unjust. If you take him at his word as we did, he will vindicate that word.
