A Covering

Mark 10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

May the Lord God add his blessing to the reading of his Word.

I would like to speak on the topic of “A covering” and bring it down to focus on “The Covering”, “His Covering”.

This sermon deals with types and shadows, with allegories and metaphors. The entire Bible is written that way. Sure the characters existed but there is more to their stories than just their stories. For example, if you read Ruth and only see a gentile girl who married into money, and don’t see the entire plan of salvation under the law of the Kinsmen Redeemer for both Jews and Gentiles played out, then go back and read it again.

Tonight’s scripture is one small line in a very big scripture, but this is one of the most important lines there, and many miss it. The Prophet didn’t miss it, and neither should we.

   53-0403 – The Cruelty Of Sin, And The Penalty That It Cost To Rid Sin From Our Lives

Not long after that, he was shivering in the cold, one day; he heard a noise. God had provided the Lamb for blind Bartimaeus’ eyes. He came along the street. He said “What’s all this noise?” There’s usually noise where He’s at. Said, “What’s all this noise?” He said, “One, Jesus of Nazareth, passed by.”

He threw down his coat, not looking where it went; he didn’t care then. God had provided a Lamb. He got right to the Lamb. He said, “O Jesus, Thou son of David, have mercy. Have mercy.”

The rich people and those who stood around, to get close to the prophet, to the king; he said, “Oh, be still; He can’t hear you.” He cried that much the more. Some of them said, “The days of miracles is passed. There’s no such a thing as that day.” He cried the louder, “Thou son of David, have mercy on me. Have mercy on me.” God provided the Lamb.


Bartimaeus had a beggar’s coat on. He was wrapped in it. But when it came time to meet Jesus, he threw the coat off. He knew that covering was faulty, it was insufficient to meet Christ.

What covering are we coming to Christ with today? What covering are we bringing to the judgement? A beggar’s robe? A creed? A denomination? A tradition?

A Blasphemous Name?

Matthew 22: 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

He was called to the supper. He came to the supper. But he did not have the wedding garment on. He was a foolish virgin! No OIL! He came with his testimony, but he only had a borrowed spark. He had the wrong covering! He was covered with a tradition, a doctrine, a mental understanding.

It is not enough to believe the message, we must be covered by it.

We all fashion a covering. That is what religion is, a covering. Adam and Eve did it.

Genesis 3: And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Adam and Eve, upon realizing their condition, upon realizing that they were naked, immediately formed a covering for themselves. Yet when the Lord came, they hid in the forest because when faced with the holiness of God, their best covering was insufficient, and they knew it. They had a covering. They were covered. But it was the wrong covering!

Mark 5: 15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Legion, when possessed of the devil, was naked. He was insane. You know, ask anyone who has spent any time in poor country that cannot afford healthcare like we have here, what is the first thing people do when they go completely insane? They will tell you that they get naked. When people go insane with bush fever, even in winter, they take off their clothes. Why are so many people running around half naked, skirts so short they could pass as belts, less clothes on the street than the average Christian wears to bed?

THEY ARE INSANE!

The Prophet warned us of it. Insanity is sweeping the world in these last days.

Revelation 3: 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Naked! The Laodicea Church is Naked! That means she has lost her mind. This last church age has gone nuts with the world. But for the Church there is hope. For the Church there is the option to buy White Raiment! Get a wedding garment! Get the Holy Covering.

60-0711 – The Door Inside The Door

“Oh, I stand at the door and knock.” [Brother Branham knocks on pulpit—Ed.] That’s the age He would stand and knock. “If you’ll just open and let Me come in and take control, I’ll clothe you with pure linen.” Oh, the righteousness of the Holy Spirit, “I’ll clothe you. I’ll take all the shame away from you. I’ll put your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. I’ll give you Eternal Life.” Oh, you’ll be hated by the world, certainly. “All that live godly in Christ Jesus,” says the Bible, “shall suffer persecutions. I’ll make you what you ought to be.”

Now the Prophet here says that the Pure White Linen is the Righteousness of the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 19: And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

The Bible says that the linen is the righteousness of the Saints, the Prophet said it is the righteousness of the Holy Spirit. Do they disagree?

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

The righteousness of the Saints IS the Righteousness of the Holy Spirit for when we accept him, he wraps us in the Robes of HIS Righteousness. That is how we can stand before him.

We are JUSTIFIED by the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ!

When God looks upon us, he sees the righteousness of Jesus!

Adam could not stand before him. The Prophets could not stand before him. The Cherubims cannot stand before him; they cover their feet with their wings.

But WE can stand before him for we have THE COVERING!

If we are under the Blood Covenant of the Lord Jesus Christ. If we have repented and been baptized in full immersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and been filled with the Holy Spirit, then we have THE COVERING.

Too many miss it. They miss it. They go part way.

Laodicea is BLIND.

Laodicea is NAKED!

They don’t have the covering. They think they do, but they don’t.

Many still have fig leaves, a man-made religion.

Self Righteousness.

If any man’s righteousness was righteous enough for the Lord, if anyone could ever gain salvation through works, through self righteousness, then the Lord Jesus Christ died in vain.

Isaiah 64: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Our righteousness is filthy rags!

  56-1125M – A Secondhanded Robe

Now, notice in Elijah. Then after he threw his robe on him and tried it on him… In other words, Elijah the prophet, who had the mantle of God on his shoulders, he came down and laid it across Elisha, the farmer, to see if it would fit him. And it taken about ten years to get altered to fit that mantle. You know, God usually puts us in the shop and trims us up. Now, He didn’t alter His robe to fit Elisha; He altered Elisha to fit the robe. And that’s what He does today. He alters us to fit the robe, not the robe to fit us. Sometimes we want to make the robe fit us. But we can’t do that. You’ve got to let—be altered yourself for the robe. It’s God’s robe and He made it perfect. And we’ve got… He’s got to bring us into that realm to make the robe fit us.

So we can’t be perfect ourself; we know we can’t. There’s no way for us to be, and yet He said for us to be. So, but what He did, He made appropriation for us, the Lord Jesus Christ and His righteousness. That’s where the perfection comes of ignoring our own holiness, of which we have none, and our own thoughts which ought not to be, but we rest solemnly upon the finished work of the Lord Jesus. God sent Him to the earth, and it was in Him that we rest.

Bling Bartimaeus realized that his righteousness was a filthy rag and threw it away to go meet Jesus. Have we done the same?

2 Kings 2: 11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. 13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

Elisha what are you wearing?

He had to take of his own robe, and destroy it before he could put on Elijah’s mantle. It won’t fit over top. You cannot mix the two!

In order to receive the Holy Spirit we must first cast off our own spirit, our own righteousness must DIE. As long was we are holding onto any of it, one thread of it, we are an abomination to God.

Leviticus 19: 19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

Do not mingle seed in the field. Do not preach the Word and Dogmas. Do not mix the Message with Creeds. Do not mix the righteousness of Christ, with the righteousness of man. We are God’s sheep, but our own natural covering, our wool, our righteousness, is filthy rags before him. We must be covered by LINEN, the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit!

Ezekiel 44: 17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.

No wool shall come upon them, not even a fiber of our own righteousness, shall be tolerated.

We must minister the Word of God, All the Word and nothing but the Word, and we must bring in by the Holy Spirit. It don’t matter how smart you are, how educated, where you went to school, who your family is, if it is of you, then it is wool, and it is not allowed.

The wedding garment is pure linen, not wool. Show up with wool and we will be tossed out.

1 Peter 2: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

It is not just for the ministers, not just for the pulpit. Every single one of you is part of the Royal Priesthood. You are a Holy Nation. You are to be dressed in Pure Linen alone!

You are to wear the wedding garment. And you cannot put it on over your own garments. We have to tear off the old garment first. We have to destroy it, die to it. Our righteousness. Our wisdom. Our culture. Our heritage. Our traditions. Our religions.

ALL MUST GO! They are all of the world.

John 14: 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

We cannot put on the wedding garment while we are wearing anything of the world. As long as that old wool is on us, the wedding garment, the pure linen, will not fit.

Matthew 9: 16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse 17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

We cannot merely patch our filthy rags with patches of holiness. It won’t work. It will all fall apart. And many try to do this. They try to discipline themselves to righteousness and holiness. They quit this and quit that hoping to become holy.

Patches! They will be destroyed.

Rip it all off. Lay yourself bare that the Lord God may cloth you. Do as Elisha, to as Bartimaeus, cast off your old cloaks, cast off the fig leaves of doctrines and religion, and accept the fullness of Christ.

Deuteronomy 22: The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Now there is a garment that pertains to a man, and a garment that pertains to a woman. In the natural, through the message, we have come to know that this refers to pants and skirts and the like. Cross dressing, transvestites are an abomination to God. And abomination is something so rotten, so putrid, so disgusting that its stink makes you physically ill so that you vomit.

If a man wears frilly, girly clothes, or if a woman wears pants or other masculine attire, those people are abominations to God. A woman who wears pants is a transvestite.

Any woman who dresses in men’s attire, who wears an article of clothes that pertains to a man is an abomination unto God!

But there is a spiritual side to this, and it is actually the spiritual side that produced the physical. For every type physical there must first be a type spiritual.

We are, as a church, the Bride, the woman. Christ is the groom, the man. Now watch closely.

Exodus 28: 1And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen. And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work. It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together. And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

We’ll stop there. It goes on for quite a bit but this should give us the understanding. Aaron was the high priest. Jesus is the High Priest after the Order of Melchesidek as we are told in Hebrews. Notice the attire of the high priest, the clothing pertaining to him. Notice the specific colours, the precious stones, the gold. Read the whole thing when you get home.

Note previous the clothing pertaining to the Bride, pure white linen. That is all it says of us. Pure Linen. I am curious, has anybody caught it yet?

Watch. Turn to it in your Bibles so that you do not miss it.

Revelation 17: 1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

She is wearing the attire of the groom! Purple. Blue. Scarlet. Gold. Precious stones. She is a false bride wearing articles of clothing pertaining to a man. She is an abomination unto God, and the mother of it.

Every single religion, every organization, every denomination, every group, that turns from the headship of Christ to the headship of man is a false bride, a harlot, an abomination unto God. They have blasphemous names! Their very name is an abomination unto God.

Vicarius Fillii Dei! In Place of God! Sitting in the temple of God showing himself to be God. The very antichrist seat is Rome! A false bride, a harlot wearing the attire of the high priest!

They are spiritual transvestites! Spiritual Adulterers! Spiritual prostitutes!

And we also have the false garments in this day too. False garments and polluted garments.

Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

We can easily be like this if we are not careful. We can quickly get a bit of pride. Our own self righteousness can pop up. A long woolen robe of self righteousness can grow on us based on some works, on our knowledge of doctrines etc. Pride. It is one thing to honour a minister, it is another when he starts honouring himself.

You see it on social media far too often these days. Pastor so and so. Prophet such and such. William Branham refused to take any other title than BROTHER. If the Prophet Messenger insisted on being called Brother, what spirit is making these men want to be called “Rabbi Rabbi” in total contravention to the Word of God. We have a Pastor. That is his position. But his title is Brother. What’s wrong with these other guys?

Beware the leaven of the Pharisees!

Don’t wear a false robe!

Jude 1: 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Garments spotted with flesh. To see this we have to go back to the Old Testament again.

Leviticus 13: 47 The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment; 48 Whether it be in the warp, or woof; of linen, or of woollen; whether in a skin, or in any thing made of skin; 49 And if the plague be greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a plague of leprosy, and shall be shewed unto the priest: 50 And the priest shall look upon the plague, and shut up it that hath the plague seven days: 51 And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day: if the plague be spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of skin; the plague is a fretting leprosy; it is unclean. 52 He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woollen or in linen, or any thing of skin, wherein the plague is: for it is a fretting leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire.

Pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted with flesh. Do you see it? Leprosy, from a spiritual perspective, types sin! Our natural garments, our own coverings, are stained with our own sin. When we bring our own righteousness to Christ the High Priest, according to the Word of God he must command it to be burned for it is spotted with leprosy. If we are in those garments, we too shall be burned!

Genesis 35: Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

Jacob was commanded to change garments. We cannot go unto the Lord in sin spotted garments of false gods. Put all unrighteousness away. Die unto self. Our own righteousness, our religion, our traditions, our cultures, our creeds, our denominations are ALL sin spotted, filthy dirty leprosy rages before the Lord. We cannot go unto him until we strip them off of us.

Revelation 3: Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

If there are those who have not defiled their garments, then there are those who have. Which means it can be defiled. We can defile ourselves before the Lord, even after we have been washed.

We defile it through sin.

Now the original covering was not linen. Adam and Eve made a covering of fig leaves which the Lord God replaced. That was Adam’s self righteousness, but as we read, it did not stand up. But the Lord did not replace it with Linen. He replaced it with flesh.

They had sinned so the Lord gave them a covering, a covering of flesh and blood. He shed innocent blood for them. But this covering was a temporary one, designed to show something better to come. It was a type of Christ.

The animal was the lamb. It was a shadow of things to come. It was replaced. The Wool and the Linen were not together; the Linen replaced the Wool. Christ as the high priest never went in with the blood of a sheep, but with his own blood he went in once for all.

The Lord God did not come veiled in Linen, he came veiled in flesh. The holiest of holies in the temple had a veil of flesh as well to show that the way into the presence of God was through flesh. Adam and Eve were given a covering of flesh to show that God would come in flesh to cover them. The flesh was bloody because the sin came through the blood and the Lord God would have to spill his own blood to redeem them back. It took blood to redeem a sin of the blood.

But once the Lord was murdered on the cross, his blood was spilled, the veil of his flesh was torn, then the veil of flesh in the temple was rent from top to bottom, just as Elisha rent his own cloak. The way into the Holiest of Holies, into the presence of the Living God was made manifest. The body of Jesus, the broken and bloody flesh, the Lamb of God, was wrapped in burial cloth, LINEN!

Matthew 27: 59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

Jesus, the Groom, was buried in fine Linen that was stained with his blood. He lived in flesh, died in flesh, but the flesh was rent, and he was placed in Fine Linen.

John 20: And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

The Linen was the sign to Peter, to the Apostles. There was no more flesh, but Linen. Death and RESSURECTION!

The complete atonement had been made and blood stained white linen was left as a token of the Resurrection.

That Linen is our Righteousness because it was obtained through the suffering, bleeding, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!

He bore our sins. He bore our sickness. He bore our pain. He bore our iniquities. He bore our death. He bore them in his flesh. His own blood paid the debt and redeemed us.

And when he had died and returned, he did not leave his flesh, the left the Fine Linen!

HIS OWN BURIAL CLOTHES ARE OUT RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Exodus 29: 20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.21 And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.

The burial garments of Christ were stained with his blood. Stained with his blood from the crown of thorns, his nail scarred hands, his feet and his pierced side. Aaron’s right ear, his right thumb, his right toe, and splattered all around!

A perfect type! Hidden in simplicity.

The sacrifice in the Levitical Priesthood was to show Christ. And it did. The garments they wore typed the burial garment of the Lord Jesus Christ. Notice it was not just the High Priest, but his sons as well. We, as the sons and daughters of God, are sprinkled with the self same blood!

The burial robe of Jesus was stained with his blood, and Aaron’s were stained with blood to show the crucifixion.

Stained by his blood, but in reality the stain of sin on the garment was washed in his blood. He bore our sins and they were buried with him in that garment. His holy blood washed our sins out of that garment.

The burial garments of the Lord Jesus Christ are the Elijah Cloak that came down to the Bride! Elisha got twice the anointing of Elijah, and the Bride got “greater works than this shall ye do”.

Jesus’ burial garments are our second hand robe!

Revelation 7: After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Their fine linen robes were washed in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ!

The burial garments of the Groom are the Wedding Dress of the Bride!

I Challenge the world to find a better, more righteous, more holy covering that that.

What has any religion, any denomination, any philosophy got that can compete with that?

I challenge the entire world in the name of Jesus Christ to compare your self-righteousness, your traditions, your creeds, your dogmas to that!

Cast off your self righteousness!

Cast off your filthy rags.

Come to Christ!

Strip your soul bare before him.

Receive the Wedding Garment!

Seek the Lord, While He may be Found

Sermon notes from the message preached on August 6th, 2017 at Restored Word Fellowship in Edmonton Alberta. 

Isaiah 55: 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

The Lord gave me a spank with this message. Now it’s your turn. It is amazing how short we fall of the mark, and how the Word reveals our shortcomings. It is also amazing how quickly the Lord will receive us when we repent and turn to him. I pray that everyone gets an double blessing from His Word today.

The Lord is giving us a direction here as to what we should be doing. There is also a stern warning here for it says to do it “while he may be found”. There will be a time when he will not be found. He is here now. He is near now.

I can’t make any promises about tomorrow.

Seek Ye the Lord! Today!

While he may be found! Today!

Hebrews 12: 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

There was a time for Esau. The blessing was his. It was his to lose. Nobody stole it from him; he sold it willingly. There was a time of grace for him. But he sinned away that day of grace. Then, once it was over, he opened his eyes to discover that it was too late. He was still upon this earth, but the Lord was not to be found of him. There was no more grace available, even though he sought carefully with tears.

He was crying. He accepted the Altar Call. He came to the prophet Isaac, begging. But he had rejected the message of the hour for too long. He did not reject it as to not believe it, he rejected it as to not live it.

Esau failed to apply the token to his life. We are so bad in Christianity; we love to apply the token to the front yard of our lives. We have the perfect picket fence, every blade of grass cut to the same height, paint the front wall. But what about inside. Have you applied the Token, the Holy Spirit, to your kitchen, to what you eat spiritually every day. How about your bedroom, your living room. How about your backyard where nobody can see over the fence. Is it Holy?

Make it HOLY! Apply the Token to every part of your being!

Esau believed! His daddy was the prophet, the promised son! He had the right to the token. He rejected it with his life. He refused to apply it. Then when he finally came to his senses, it was too late. The door to salvation was closed. FOREVER!

It will be too late for every one of us one day if we do not Seek the Lord NOW.

Genesis 7: And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him. And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

The Ark was complete. The wood was gathered and cut. The boards were nailed together. The Ark was pitched inside and out. Food was gathered. Noah packed his suitcase and got on board. The animals were inside. Yet there was not a drop of rain for seven days. The people laughed and made fun as they do today. They had a big party. The whole world saw the Ark on their TV’s and computer screens. YES!
Jesus said the end times, our times, would be exactly like Noah’s times. World full of people. World full of science. World full of religion. World full of sin!

The Prophet of our day went away 50+ years ago now. Noah preached for 120 years before the flood. Brother Branham started preaching this message in 1933, over 85 years ago.

The Laodicea Church Age began in 1906, One Hundred and Eleven years ago. As it was in the days of Noah…

We are almost at 120 yeas now, and the Lord promised to cut it short!

When will the door of the Ark of Jesus Christ be closed? How many days will we preach to the lost? The door may close before this meeting is done!

Will you seek the Lord while he may be found, or are you planning on waiting until the door closed?

Matthew 25: 1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

They were not worldly people. They were not denominational beast worshipers. They were virgins! They were together with the Bride. The were “Christians”, they “went forth to meet the groom”. They had lamps lit! But no oil.

And you Full Gospel Business Men do the same. You don’t—don’t have to wait and be a minister; just testify what He has already done to you. That’s what you come together here for, is testify what He has done for you. That’ll shine Light to others to be lit off of that. That’s how the lamps in the tabernacle was lit, one from the other; not a strange light, new lighting; but the same light. Means, it’s the same God all the way through, that shines the Light.
64-0620B – Who Is Jesus?

That is how the lamps are lit. The wise virgins have oil, and the fire from their lamps is what keeps the lamps of the foolish virgins lit. The foolish virgins have no oil of their own. Once they are separated, once the shuck pulls away from the seed during the squeeze, their lamps will go out.

Now, the light of the court was the firmament. The light at the first veil was a bunch of lamps. They got smoky and went out sometime. And that’s the way with a man from one revival to another one, if he’s just living in the church, and having a little spurt up once in a while. And he gets all fired up when the revival, but a few weeks if they don’t start another one somewhere, he goes down, smokes out. See? “Oh, my church ain’t having this one, and my church…”

Brother, go on to the inner veil; God is the Light in there. It’s always light. The Shekinah Glory lit up that place and never did go out, year after year. And the manna never did get old; it was the same all the time, didn’t get no wiggle-worms in that. But that you had to get every day got wiggle-worms in it outside. Them who has to stay and all this… Just get in with Christ one time, and close the curtains down, and live till He comes after you. Amen.
55-1007 – The Power Of Decision

We just had a revival over at Brother Hildebrandt’s with the Spencers. Everyone was shining bright. Singing, shouting, praising, worshiping, emotions, quotes, scriptures, huge Altar Call.

It’s been a week. How’s your lamp doing?

How is your Lamp Burning? Are you burning with oil, or stealing a spark?

Seek Ye the Lord! How you ask? Do not seek religion. Do not seek a man, any man. Do not seek dogmas, creeds or traditions. Do not seek doctrines.

Genesis 32: 24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Jacob wrestled there alone with God, UNTIL. He wrestled until he prevailed! We give up too soon. We start and stop our church services based on a clock. If God don’t show by the time we are ready to go, we pack up and go anyhow. We set aside a half hour for prayer, but at the half hour point we stop, regardless of the results. Maybe the Lord planned to answer at minute 31, and when he got there, you were gone.

Where would Jacob be if he ended his prayer meeting at 9:30? He prayed UNTIL! He got desperate. It was life or death to him, literally. He knew if he did not get something direct from the Lord, if he did not meet the Lord then and there, he was a dead man. So, he fought, and wrestled with the Lord God until he prevailed.

And when he prevailed, he was blessed.

When he prevailed, he got a new name.

When he prevailed, his “life was preserved”.

He passed from death unto life!

Seek Ye the Lord while he may be found!

Revelation 22: 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

That day is fast approaching. That is the day the foolish virgins begin to seek for the Oil. That could happen tonight. The door to the Ark is closing. When that day comes, the condition you are in, you are in FOREVER.

If you have not repented and been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, you will take those sins, as a heathen, to the white throne judgement and be called to answer for every word in the Law, with NO blood to cover you.

If you have not pressed forward to receive the Holy Spirit, then you will simply be left behind at the rapture and have to face the tribulation, a time when there will be absolutely no presence of the Lord God upon this gentile world. A time when Satan will rule with all authority. A time of madness, a time of disease, a time of destruction, a time of judgement.

That day will come and go and you won’t even know it happened. Enoch was raptured. Nobody noticed. Noah was in the Ark seven days, no rain fell. Will you know that the door is closed? Will you know when it is too late?

Once the door is closed, the devil will know that the Message of the Hour can no longer save people. At that point he will not need to blind anyone to it anymore. Nobody is blinded to Luther’s message; the Lutheran Church is Huge. Nobody is blinded to Wesley’s message; the Methodist church is huge.

Nobody is blinded to the Pentecostal message today. AMEN? Look how big the Pentecostal Assemblies are. Not long ago, that was the move of God. The Lord restored the gifts at the Azusa Street Mission. Signs and wonders and miracles flowed from that place. God moved in a supernatural way in the early Pentecostal Movement, but now they have turned completely from him.

Listen Close: When the door closes to the gentile world, there will be a big move of people “accepting the message”, getting baptized properly, growing out their hair, wearing dresses, quitting smoking etc. For a time before the Rapture, the Bride will be preaching to them. Then after the Rapture, it will be the foolish virgins.

They will all be eternally lost, and they will think it is the Bride’s Revival.

The Bride of Christ will preach to the lost before she goes home. They will preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the gospel of salvation to a a cold, dead, demonic world that cannot be saved. They will preach with power and demonstration in the spirit of the Lord to the eternally lost.

And when they will accept it, and it will be too late!

Seek Ye the Lord while He may be Found!

Ezekiel 9: And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

That is happening today, here, in this building. The angel of the Lord is marking us. He is marking the Bride! He is going through the midst of the church, and he is marking people with the Holy Spirit, with the seal of God who cry out for the abominations in the city, in the church, in the message.

Are you crying out, or are you part of it? Are you speaking against sin, or supporting it? What is in your heart? What is in your mind? How are you reacting to the Revealed Word of God? Are we living for it like Jacob, or living against it like Esau did. One day it will be too late to repent! Do we have oil of our own, or do we simply catch a spark from those who do?

Do we shout and praise the Lord God, or do we need a ‘revival’ going on with everyone else shouting and praising first?

Do you start or just follow? Do you have oil to fuel your lamp, or do you need to borrow a spark every time?

Am I scaring you? I pray to God that I am. We need a wake up call!

Philippians 2: 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Fear and trembling. Work out your salvation. Fight like Jacob fought. Fight until. Don’t let a clock rule your worship, for that very clock will call the end to salvation for the gentiles. That clock will ring the hour when the door is shut. Don’t look at the Clock, look to Jesus! He is salvation. He is redemption. He is healing. He is resurrection. He is the one true God and eternal life.

Work out your salvation!    TODAY!    Seek ye the Lord while He may be found!

1 Corinthians 9: 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Run the race. Notice, many are running. We have hundreds of millions of people today that go to church, that call themselves “Christians”. We have hundreds of thousands that call themselves “message believers”. We are all in the race, but not all will win. Many are not striving to win. They are satisfied with a participation badge.

Run for the Title. The Title of Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Luke 4: 25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

There are many in message churches today. There are many who call themselves Christians today. There are many with the picture of the pillar of fire in their houses today. There are many with a tape playing in their house day and night today. There are many in this service today. There are some missing too.

Has the Lord come to you? Have you been seeking him? Have you been wrestling with him until?

Do we worship God or the clock?

Hebrews 3: 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. 16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

TODAY! If you will hear his voice. Not my voice. Hear his voice, the voice behind the voice! If you will hear his voice today. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, TODAY. Seek ye him while he is near, TODAY!

We are not going to be those who fall in the wilderness.  We are called to be the Bride! Hold fast your faith. Hold fast your testimony. Seek the Lord. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Seek ye the Lord!

2 Peter 3: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

The Lord is not slack, nor is he tarrying. He picked the day of the rapture before the foundation of the world. Do not count his longsuffering as slackness. Do not think it will go on forever. A day is FAST approaching where that door will close and it will be too late. We have not been called to burn. We have been called out of the world. The Bride will walk out on the ashes of the unjust. But we have to seek the Lord and work out our salvation.

We must become perfect! We must grow to the image of the perfect man in Christ Jesus!

And that takes work. That takes prayer. That takes consecration.

That takes a total separation from sin!

Ezekiel 12: 21 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 22 Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? 23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. 24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God. 26 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying. 27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. 28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

It will not be prolonged! The Day of the Lord is at Hand! The Great and Terrible day of the Lord is at Hand. The Prophet has been gone for a half century. This age has almost gone as long as Noah’s. The world is a darkness and a gross darkness the people. The great falling away has already happened.

Saint of God hear what the Lord says to you!

The shall be no more vain visions or flattering divinations for the Bride!

The Lord has spoken his Word and now he will perform it!

None of God’s words will be prolonged any more!

The Word which I have spoken SHALL BE DONE!

This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears!

Heavenly Father, be it unto us according to they word!

The Lord shall come as a thief in the night. He will not be seen. He will come. He will go. The world, the churches, will not know it has happened. One shall be left, one taken. They are together! Do you see it? They are together. One has oil, the other steals his spark. Then he will do as Esau and cry out, but it will be too late.

Luke 16: 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

“Father Abraham”! He was not a heathen. He was a church member. He was a believer. He was an Esau. He had his time of grace and he sinned it away. He though, “Oh the Lord is tarrying, I can wait until tomorrow to get my soul right”.

He woke up in hell! Seek Ye the Lord while He may be Found!

Matthew 7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Seek. And you SHALL find. Knock. And it SHALL be opened. Ask. And it SHALL be given.

We have no excuse. If we don’t have, it is because we have not asked. (James 4:2) If the Word is not opened, then we have not knocked. If we are lost, then we are not seeking.

That’s not my words, that’s God’s Word!

Seek Ye the Lord While He May Be Found!         TODAY!

Don’t seek religion. Don’t seek dogma. Don’t seek psychology. Don’t seek denominationalism. Don’t seek the world. Don’t seek the things of the flesh. Don’t seek money. Don’t seek popularity. Don’t seek traditions. Don’t seek culture.

Seek the Lord, and all his righteousness. Don’t touch the other stuff. Have nothing to do with it. Run from it!

Haggai 2: 13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. 14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

The moment we touch those things, we become unclean. The moment we bring those things into the church, the moment we include a tradition, a dogma, a creed, the whole church become unclean. God cannot work with us in that condition. That is the problem in the churches. That is the problem in the message today. A little leaven will leaven the whole lump.

Where are the signs and wonders? Where is the supernatural moving of the Lord God?

Cast out the Babylonian garments and wedges of silver from among you.

Bride, Get Back in Line!

Oh it’s just a little this and a little that. It don’t mean no harm.

James 2: 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Touch NOT. Taste NOT. Handle NOT. For all will perish with using.

Come out of her my People and touch not the unclean thing!

Bride of Christ, hear ye the word of the Lord! Make it all good, or make it all bad. Be ice cold, or be on fire. But if we remain lukewarm the Lord will spew us out of his mouth!

Seek Him while he may be found!

Get of Fire for God!

2 Kings 13: 15 And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows. 16 And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands. 17 And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the Lord‘s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them. 18 And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. 19 And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

It is all about attitude! This king was not a heathen, he was a friend to the Prophet. He was at his death bed. The Lord spoke to him personally through the Prophet and had the Prophet make him a personal promise. But he was LUKEWARM!

He was lazy. He didn’t want to put any effort into it. He started to smack the ground, then looked at the clock and it was 12:00 pm, time to end service. He didn’t so as Jacob did. He should have banged those arrows until there were no arrows left. He should have wrestled with God until he got the blessing, until he received a new name, until his life was preserved.

WRESTLE WITH GOD!

Seek Him, while he may be found!

Brothers! Sisters! The Lord has put such a weight on my heart for you today! I am desperate! How can I make this real to you? How can I set you on fire?

James 1: But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Why do we waiver? Why don’t we wait until? Do you want me to tell you? Why do we not wait until?

Because we do not believe that He will answer.

If you believe that he will answer, and you don’t wait for him, for that answer, then what kind of a soul are we? We don’t wait because we don’t believe. Double minded! It should not be that way.

It is shameful!

And we have made it a tradition. We hold God to our schedule, to our time. We make him our servant. We tell him to come. We tell him to go. We tell him what to do and when. And we have made a tradition of it. And we don’t understand what is wrong with it.

There is a way that seems right unto man, the end thereof is death. This is not God’s way. This is not the Bride’s way. We must get back to the Word, back to the Message. Not just in doctrine, but in LIFE. We must do it before it is too late.

Remember the vision of the Bride, she took her eye off the Message and fell out of line.

BRIDE, GET BACK IN LINE!

Genesis 4: And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

The Bride will be in line. You and I will be in line! She will bring the more perfect sacrifice. She is operating by revelation. She will seek the Lord while he may be found.

Cain did not seek the Lord. In fact, he rejected him and the Lord set out to find him. The Lord God spoke to Cain, lip to ear, and Cain rejected God’s word.

The Lord God is speaking to you right now, lip to ear. Do you hear him, or just me? Listen to the Voice behind my voice. Listen to the Word of the Lord.

Seek the Lord while he may be found.

Time is running out!      The door of the Ark is closing!           Seek the Lord, Today!

Wait upon him. Wrestle with him. Fight until you overcome!

Revelation 3: 21 To him that OVERCOMETH will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Does that scripture have a whole new meaning to you now? “To Him the Overcometh”. This is not a participation trophy. This is for the victor, for the overcomer, for the one who wrestles until. This is the preservation of life.

2 Timothy 4: But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

What is your testimony? If you knew you were about to die tonight, if you knew that rapture was happening in five minutes from now, what would be your testimony of your life?

Could you say “I have fought the good fight”?

Or did you only bang the ground three times?

Is there a Crown waiting for you, or a participation trophy?

Are you seeking him while he may be found? Are you calling upon him while he is near?

His Holy Temple

Habakkuk 2: 20 But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

  • The Lord: That is who, Him and no other.
  • Is In: That is where he dwells. That is the only place He will dwell.
  • His: Ownership. It belongs to Him alone.
  • Holy: God is holy and cannot dwell in an unholy place.
  • Temple: So what is God’s Temple?

Is it this church? Is it the Vatican? Is it the Temple Mount? Is it Heaven?

Acts 7: 48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

What is his temple?

Logos was God’s first temple.

Jesus was Logos.

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…..14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The prophet on 80 different occasions said “God is in his Word”. Logos is the full expression of the Lord God towards us. All his thoughts and desires concerning humanity, all his creation, all his mercy, all his healing, all his deliverance, all his resurrection, all his righteousness, was expressed in his Word, Logos.

The Lord is in Logos. In Logos dwelt the fullness of the godhead, Spiritual. Logos was not some mist, some vapour; Logos is the Theophany of God. That is the Body that walked with Adam and Eve in Eden in the cool of the day. That was the body that Moses saw when he said that he looked like the back of a man. The fullness of the Lord God Elohim, Jehovah, manifested in the Theophany of Logos, the Revealed Word of God.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.

Did you ever wonder when this scripture, this prophesy, was truly fulfilled?

Matthew 3: 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Jesus Christ is the Word of God, Logos, made flesh. In him then dwelt the fullness of the godhead bodily. This is where the Holy Spirit became one with the flesh of the man Jesus Christ. This is where Jesus as the only begotten child of God received the adoption to be the only begotten Son of God. He became the complete and total representation and manifestation of God in the form of human flesh.

Matthew 17: 5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Jesus Christ is the Temple of God, and in him dwells the fullness of God. God is in his Holy Temple. God is in his Word. God is in Logos. God is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 2: 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

Jesus Christ is the Holy Temple of God! It is not the building. It is not the organization. It is not in a creed or dogma. It is not a doctrine. God is in his Holy Temple. God is in his Word!

Who are we? Where do we fit in?

Ephesians 2: 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

This is not figurative or symbolic. We were raised up. We are made to sit together, all of us, as one, IN heavenly places IN Christ Jesus. We are in Logos. Adam’s Bride was taken out from his side, but the Bride of Christ isn’t take out, she is called IN to Jesus, through his side. When his side was pierced, out came water blood and spirit. As we enter IN to Christ, we do so in that order, through water, then blood, then spirit. We will look closer in a few minutes.

God, knowing the end from the beginning, when he spoke his fullness into the Word, he spoke your name and my name. The full manifestation of the Lord God and his complete plan of salvation, including the identity of every single one of his predestinated seed, the Born Again Christians, the Bride of Christ, was spoken at that time. You were in Logos before the very first sub-atomic particle was created.

You and I were IN Christ Jesus, Logos, the Word of God, from before the beginning of all time!

Deuteronomy 16: But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

WHERE IS GOD’S CHOSEN PLACE OF WORSHIP? William Branham 1965

QUOTE: “But there’s one PLACE I can take you to, where you’re safe and protected from death, that’s in JESUS CHRIST, God’s PLACE of worship. That’s the PLACE I’m introducing to you, tonight, where God put His NAME. Where He promised He would MEET every person that come in there, He would worship with Him and feast with Him, that’s in Christ; not in NO church, no tabernacle. 

But He said, “I’ll choose the PLACE to put My Name.” And the NAME was JESUS. And Jesus is the Word, Saint John 1. Is that right? That’s the PLACE of worship, in Christ the Word. God chose the place; not in NO church denomination, but in Jesus Christ. Yes, sir.

Now, that’s why, we, “All we DO in word or in deed, we do it in the NAME of Jesus Christ.” “There is NOT another NAME given under Heaven for salvation, but the Name of Jesus Christ.” There’s not another name given under Heaven whereby a man must be saved, only in the Name of Jesus Christ.” Amen. I hope you get it. The Name of Jesus Christ. Highest Heaven is named Him, “All the family in Heaven is named Jesus,” the Bible said, “and all the family on earth is named Jesus.” So that’s God’s chosen Name and where He has put It. That’s His place of worship, is in Jesus Christ. Now, we know that to be so, no other place to worship but in Him.”

Every denomination will quote that “all we do in word and deed we must do in His Name”, and then in the same breath refuse to baptize in His Name. God cannot recognize you if you do not come according to his word.

John 4: 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is Spirit. God’s Word is Truth. God’s Spirit is in God’s Word! There are not three gods, or three persons. There is ONE God, ONE person, the Lord Jesus Christ, in three offices. God the Father above us. God the Son with us. God the Holy Spirit in us. Three manifestations of the self same God. The Lord is in his Holy Temple, and that temple is the Word of God. To worship God we “MUST” do so in the Temple, IN Spirit and IN Truth. Without that Temple, our prayers cannot be heard.

No denomination. No organization. No creeds. No religions. In Spirit and IN Truth. God is in his holy temple!

We have to meet him there or we will not meet him at all!

If you were not in the Ark, you were lost. If you were not under the Passover lamb blood, you were lost. If you are not IN Christ Jesus, the Holy Temple of God, YOU ARE LOST.

James 2: Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

Oh it goes deeper!

What name are you called by? Your old name is GONE. You have a new name. Just as Jacob became Israel, as Abram became Abraham, when you meet God, he changes your name. You are now called by the name of Jesus Christ! As we just read the Prophet said “Christ Jesus is God’s Place of Worship”. He is in his Holy Temple! He has placed his Name on you.

1 John 5: 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

There is no other God before him. He is all in all. The True God and Eternal Life. Here is where we fit in.

1 Corinthians 6: 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

YOU are God’s temple. When the Spirit of God quickens His Word IN you, then you become the Temple of God and he indwells you. God is in His Holy Temple.

His Temple. Ownership! He purchased you with his own blood. He dwells in his temple, in the Born Again Christian. He does not dwell in organizations, or churches, or religions. We read in Revelation that he is outside knocking at the door of the heart. He wants to make us his temple. He wants to dwell in us.

1 Corinthians 3: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

You and I are God’s temple. If we defile that temple, we will be destroyed. Take that as a stern warning. As we heard on Sunday it would be better for us never to be born or have a stone tied around our necks and be cast into the sea than to offend God’s Temple.

You are God’s Temple and he is in his holy temple.

Hebrews 9: 1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercy seat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

There are three Courts in the Temple. Outer, Inner, Holiest of Holies. As God’s Temples, we too are trinary. We have three distinct parts, three separate states.

Body, Spirit, Soul.

Justification, Sanctification, Glorification.

Glorify?

John 17: 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

  1. Justification: physical, outer court, baptism. Heart of stone to heart of flesh in Ezekiel.
  2. Sanctification: mental, inner court. New spirit in Ezekiel.
  3. Glorification: filling of the Holy Spirit. Holiest of Holies!

There are five out court experiences. 1)Sight, 2)Hearing, 3)Taste, 4)Touch, 5)Smell. These are outer court experiences. They will fool you. Anyone can receive them. You get a sensation. Could be a pinched nerve. You raise your hands. You shout. Physical. Outer Court. Shake hands with the preacher. Take a vow. Make a confession. Outer. Physical. CARNAL!

There are five inner court experiences. 1)Imagination, 2)Memory, 3)Affection, 4)Consciousness, 5)Reasoning. These are Inner Court Experiences. The devil can trick you with these so easily because most people cannot recognize that these things are NOT in the Holiest of Holies. This is how Eve got tricked in Eden Satan came to her with an Outer Court Experience that led her to an Inner Court Experience. Reasoning. Emotions. Emotions are strong and most people think the emotion is God. You get that at ball games. You get excited. You cry. You laugh. Emotions. We need them, but they can fool us. We can cry at a sad movie, the movie is a lie, the story never happened, the people are just actors. It is an Inner Court Experience, it FEELS real, but it is a lie. CARNAL!

FAITH: Holiest of Holies! That is where the Lord God is. That is where the altar is. That is where the shew bread is. That is where the Word is! That is where the Holy Spirit is. Until we enter there we will never have an experience with the Living God. To get in there, we must be HOLY. We must be sanctified. We must be justified. We must be HOLY.

The physical won’t get you into the inner court. We can get justified and stop, not go forward. Foolish virgins. Bride material. Sinless. Burning lamp, but no oil.

The emotional, the mental, the sanctification, will not get you into the Holiest of Holies. We can be sanctified and stop there. Foolish virgins again. Bright lamp again, but no oil. They will be left behind at the rapture. They are very good people, Church folks. They will give you the shirt off their backs and feed you their last meal. They are kind, they are justified, they are sanctified, but not Holy.

The only thing that can enter the Holiest of Holies, the Altar of the Heart, is FAITH. That is why we can have the baptism of the Holy Ghost without sensation. It is not an outer court experience. It is not an inner court experience. It is a Holiest of Holies experience. It is a FAITH experience.

I can preach you into the Outer Court. I can even preach you into the Inner Court. But to enter the Holiest of Holies, I can only show you the way, you will have to go in there alone. Straight is the gate, and narrow is the way that leads to life and few there be that will find it. It is so narrow only one can enter at a time and we cannot bring anything along. Our creeds, our denominations, our dogmas, our traditions, our cultures will all prevent entry. There is no room in there for them. We have to go by and with Faith alone.

God has provided a way, and there is NO other way to come to him. We must come through the outer court, then come through the inner court, then enter the Holiest of Holies. There is no other way. Jesus said that he is the door and anyone who attempts a different way is a thief and a liar. A robber, robbing God!

Jesus is the Word of God, Logos made flesh. The Bible is Logos, Jesus Christ, in print form. The Bible in Acts 2: 38-39 gives us God’s provided way. That is the one and only method that the Lord God recognizes for baptism. There is NO other way. Get baptized in titles, you will get an outer court experience, and an inner court experience, emotion. But that way will lead you around in circles and NEVER bring you to the door. Never bring you to Christ because it is not God’s provided way. It is the same if we are baptized with sprinkling. It is only through God’s provided way, through strict obedience to the Bible, through the proper Christian baptism, that we can come to the door.

Too many people are walking in circles in the Inner Court, and in the Outer Court, and never coming to the knowledge of Christ. They are like Israel in the wilderness. They rejected God’s provided way at Kadesh Barnea and wandered around. They had the Word. They had signs and wonders. They did not have Christ! So to today. Come God’s provided way!

Faith, the sixth sense. This is literally the one and only channel to reach God. It is God’s provided way. That is why we can only worship God in his Temple, in the Holiest of Holies. That is the place where FAITH resides. God is IN his HOLY temple.

It does not matter how well we sing, our songs will not reach heaven if we do not have the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Neither will our prayers. In fact the Bible goes so far as to say that none of us even know how to pray and that the Holy Spirit speaks for us when we pray, the Voice behind the Voice, to make intercession for us.

If we do not have the Holy Spirit, it says in Romans, we are not even Christians.

Do you see it?

He is not in his JUSTIFIED Temple!

He is not in his SANCTIFIED Temple!

They are both empty.

THE LORD GOD IS ONLY IN HIS HOLY TEMPLE!

We have to go through the outer court to get to the inner court. The three courts are concentric. There is no shortcut. How can we be sanctified as sinners? We need remission of sins first! We need to be washed. Justification comes before Sanctification. Repent and be baptized, that was the order of the day. Peter did not tell them to get sanctified. He told them to get justified first. Get under the blood.

We have to go through the inner court to get to the Holiest of Holies. God cannot dwell in an unclean vessel. We need to be sinless. We need to be Sanctified, set apart for service. Delivered and proven.

John 14: 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

There are NO shortcuts. We need to be justified before we can ever get sanctified. We need to be Sanctified before we can ever be filled. That is one of the reasons we have so many foolish virgins. They try to skip a step.

It will never work. God’s temple is complete!

The Holiest of Holies. This is where the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercy seat. We just read that.

Do NOT Defile the temple of God.

Matthew 15: 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

We worship God with our mouths and bless the Lord Jesus Christ, then turn around and curse man that is made in the likeness and image of God. When we deny God’s word, we defile our temple. God’s word says we are healed, yet we will confess that we are sick. LIES! Contrary to his Word. Defiling us.

Get hold of your tongue!

2 Corinthians 6: 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

No yoke. This is not only marriage. It is especially marriage, but not only. Here are a couple of more common yokes that the Word of God forbids.

  • Don’t get yoked in business.
  • Don’t get yoked in activities.
  • Don’t get yoked in a church.
  • Don’t yoke yourself in politics.
  • Don’t yoke yourself in traditions.
  • Don’t yoke yourselves in cultures.

Colossians 2: 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

All those things are carnal, worldly, fleshly. Get rid of it. They will keep you out of the Holiest of Holies. They will stand between you and God’s HOLY Temple. We need to enter the HOLY Temple.

We need to become the Lord’s Holy Temple!

1 Thessalonians 5: 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Not only do we need to abstain from that which is evil, but the very appearance of it. It will destroy your testimony. It will defile your temple. It will keep you a foolish virgin. Lot had no testimony in Sodom because his testimony had been defiled.

2 Timothy 2: 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Iniquity will bring death. Doing stuff that you know better is iniquity. Also not doing things that you know you must is iniquity. All who name the name of Jesus Christ. That name is God’s name. That is where he placed his name, in his HOLY Temple. Depart from everything remotely evil. If you are unsure, get rid of it.

Now it gets really good. Here is the desert.

Revelation 22: And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

The Bride is the Holy City! You and I are the Holy City! We descend. And people say there is no rapture. How did we get up there to descend if there is no rapture? The Bride! YOU!

Oh it gets even better.

Revelation 22: 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

There is no need of a temple because God is in his Holy Temple. The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple. God is still in his Word. He is still in LOGOS. He never left it! That was his first and ONLY Temple. We become his Temple because Logos dwells in us. He was in Logos in the beginning. He is in Logos now. He will be in Logos for all eternity! He is in His Holy Temple!

And to bring that home:

Daniel 9: 18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. 19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

Thy city. Thy people. Called by Thy NAME.

We are His Holy Temple!

The Lord God is IN His Holy Temple!

Let ALL the earth keep silent before him.

Let ALL the earth keep silent before you, the Bride, His Holy Temple!

 

 

 

Recognizing the Voice behind the Voice

[Notes from the Sermon “Recognizing the Voice” preached by Brother Paul Brake on Wednesday June 28th at Restored Word Fellowship in Edmonton.]

Revelation 10: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Notice that it does not say the day of the prophet. It does not say the day of the ministry. It does not say the day of the man. It says specifically the “days of the VOICE”.

Why a Voice? What is the significance of the Voice? Which Voice?

Remember a word is a thought express. So the root of every word is a thought. Thoughts do not come from the mind, they have a root in your heart.

Psalm 33: 11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Even God’s Word originates in God’s heart. The voice you hear with your ear from the speaker in the room is a manifestation of the Voice Spoken. You do not hear my voice right now, you hear the Voice of the speakers. They are a dumb box, lifeless, with no will of their own. The only voice they can muster is squealing, feedback and static. It is all mindless noise. They have another voice, but that is not their own voice. It is the manifestation of My Voice.

So too, when you hear my voice from my mouth, you are hearing a manifestation of the voice spoken first in my heart. Then in my mind. Finally, in my mouth. But where did the voice in my heart come from? It came from the Spirit that is within me. If I am filled with the Holy Spirit, then it came from him. If I am possessed of a devil, then it came from him. We are all possessed, by the Spirit of God, or the spirit of the world, satan.

There is a Voice within the Voice, within every Voice.

Matthew 4: Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

I want you to notice something here. There are two distinct voices, the voice of Satan, and the Voice of Jesus. Notice too that they are both speaking the Word of God. Satan was quoting Psalm 91 perfectly.

Psalm 91: 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

What a strange thing. Here the devil himself is quoting the Prophet, speaking the Revealed Word of God for the hour. He is quoting exactly as it was written. Here there is an audible voice, and that voice is speaking the Word of God, yet that voice is the devil, and had Jesus listened to it, he would have been finished.

Do you see it? There is a preacher, quoting the Word of God, and to listen to that preacher preach the Word of God would bring DEATH, a death so terrible it would have killed every human being.

We need to go deeper to understand how the Word of God, the Word of life, can kill. It can’t really, it is life. It all depends on the Voice!

1 Chronicles 13: And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart. And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. 10 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.

Uzza was a righteous man. He was an Israelite. He was circumcised. But he was not called to handle the Word of God. The Ark was to be carried by the Levites. Uzza, a righteous man, was not qualified and even thought he was handling the pure Word of God, doing so brought death.

Now what can we say of the denominations of our day? The modern Ox Carts. The Modern Uzzas. The pulpits are full of Uzzas today. The Message Pulpits! Uzza was an Israelite, a Christian. He was Righteous, Justified. He was circumcised, Sanctified. To the people of Israel he was qualified, the most qualified or they would never have chosen him.

We have that today. We have men, just men, baptized in full immersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, sanctified, living consecrated lives for Christ, but not called to the pulpit. The Five Fold Ministry is a calling. And these men, eloquent speakers, humble brothers, knowledgeable in doctrine, loved of all, get voted into the pulpits. They preach because they are good speakers. But God did not call them to it. They are outside of his Perfect Will, swimming in the pools of his permissive will. They have the wrong voice.

But not to the Lord God! He was rejected! He was not called for it. He was disqualified by his birth. Had the Lord intended for him to handle the Word, he would have been born a Levite. That is predestination at its finest. The pulpits today are full of Uzzas, men chosen by men, righteous men, good men, but not chosen by God. They have the wrong Voice!

How many women preachers are today in the denominations? Smart women, highly educated. Bible schools, Theology Seminary training, PhD in theology etc. Yet they are not the Voice chosen by God. Had the Lord God intended for them to handle the Word of God, by predestination, they would have been born men. God cannot fail. Those women are not fulfilling all righteousness. The Word of God strictly forbids them, yet there they are anyway, standing in the Pulpit preaching. They can preach the word perfectly as Satan did, and their Voice will bring DEATH!

DEATH! Preaching the Word of God and preaching DEATH to the people, and they don’t even know it. That is the picture of today.

And why did they carry the Ark that way in the first place?

1 Chronicles 13: 1 And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader. And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the Lord our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul. And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.

David listened to every voice in the country except the Voice that the Lord God had chosen, the Voice of the Prophet. Do we listen to the Voice of the Prophet today? Do we listen to the Voice behind the Voice of the Prophet today? That, as mister Shakespeare so eloquently phrased it, is the rub.

How can a Voice matter? Two Voices can speak the very same words, one brings life, the other brings death. Jesus and Satan both quoting the Word; to listen to Jesus was life, to Satan was death. Same thing today!

Here is another example.

Genesis 3: 1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Notice here that he came quoting the Word. He was not denying the Word. He was not dismissing the Word. He was preaching it! He was preaching the Word of God to Eve just as Adam preached it. But it was death!

When Adam brought that Word to Eve, it brought life. Now here is another voice preaching the self same Word, quoting the prophet Adam, and it was death. The Voice behind the voice was different.

Acts 19: 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

This is my general criticism of Quote Preachers. Nothing wrong with a quote. The problem arises when we don’t get the revelation and simply hide behind a quote and a fake Kentucky accent. The Vagabonds preached Jesus whom Paul Preaches. How many today are preaching Jesus whom Branham preached in the exact same way?

Quoting the Scriptures as Satan did. Quoting the Prophet as the Vagabonds did. But the Wrong VOICE! And it brings death. Yet when Aquila and Priscilla quoted Paul, it brought life to Apollos.

We have men in the pulpits today reading from the Bible, quoting from the Prophet, and bringing death because they are speaking with the wrong Voice!

It is not the physical Voice you hear that is so important. If it was then God would only choose great orators to be preachers. It is the Voice behind the Voice! The words we hear, the voice of the man is the manifestation of the Voice of the Spirit IN the Man.

The physical words you hear are no different than physical words you read. That is why the Bible says the letter killeth but the Spirit brings life. Except that Holy Spirit of God quickens the Word to your heart, it will only condemn you.

If we don’t have the right inner Voice, then our outer Voice will simply be speaking the letter; the letter of the Word of God, the letter of the Message of the Hour, and the letter killeth. It kills because the Voice is wrong!

The physical voice we hear is an Outer Court Experience. Satan moves around freely in the Outer Court. And when it causes our emotions to stir, as you see among the Evangelicals and Pentecostals, and now in the Message, it is simply an Inner Court Experience. God is NOT in them.

God is in his Holy Temple. He is not in the letter, God is in his Word, Logos!

And then when we stand at the judgment seat of Christ, we will say we did this and that in your name. He will say I never knew you, and I don’t know you now. Get away from me you workers of iniquity. You stood there and quoted from my word to someone, then turned around and lived the opposite. You demanded that another follow me and refused to follow yourself. I never knew you. I was never in you. You never came through the outer court, through the inner court, to meet Me in the Holiest of Holies.

WE NEVER MET!

I do not know you!

May the Lord God in Heaven have mercy and grace upon us tonight that it would never be mentioned once among us. Let us follow the Lord and his prescription for Receiving his Holy Spirit.

A woman preacher, for example, can stand at the pulpit, orate a beautiful, intelligent, logical lecture from the letter, that will make you cry, shout, sing, jump up and down, run around. It will make perfect sense to the carnal mind. She can be 100% accurate in every word she speaks, but still be the wrong Voice and bring death to the listener. She can give you a great outer court experience that will lead to a great inner court experience. To the carnal man, they will think they had an experience with God. They got sensations! They got emotions! But they received death!

God cannot be in that, and he is not. For the Lord to bless it he would become a liar and a hypocrite because he clearly stated in his word. If the woman was filled with the Holy Spirit, then that Holy Spirit inside her would never allow her to act totally contrary to the Revealed Word of God for the hour.

1 Timothy 2: 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

He said NO. Period. End of Story. Full stop. Yet they do it. Having a form of godliness and denying the very power thereof. See, she could quote the letter of the Bible perfectly. She could even quote from a message book perfectly, getting all the “ums” and “ahs” in the right place, getting the Kentucky accent perfect. But in the end, it is the wrong Voice. It is a Voice of Death and to listen to it is DEATH!

We have had “message preachers”, who have sat in the pulpits for years, preaching to the people, only to turn and call the Prophet a devil and say the message that the Lord God vindicated is a lie. Did they bring life to anyone in their preaching? What experience do those people have? Think about it. Those people thought they were being saved. They thought that a godly, Holy Ghost filled man, called of God, was speaking to them. They did not have the discernment to know better. They could not discern the inner voice.

Some of these guys preached for decades without being noticed. They didn’t turn bad, they were always bad. They were wolves in sheep clothing making merchandise of you the whole time, fleecing the people and feeding on them. And the people did not know. What experience do those people have? Where do they stand? How and why did they miss it?

How did these guys hide for so long? Did you ever wonder that? They hid behind quotes. They quoted so perfectly that people only listened to the voice that was speaking, not to the voice behind the voice. They did not realize that the human voice was empty and devoid of holiness.

Uzza was a righteous man, but when he tried to handle the Word of God, being the wrong voice for the day, it brought DEATH. Today it will bring Spiritual Death. Your heart won’t stop beating, it will just get closed off so that the Word of God, the Spirit of God, Logos, will not be able to enter it. It will defile your Temple. All who defile the Temple of God, the Lord God will destroy.

Hebrews 3: Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Today if you will hear His Voice. As the Holy Ghost saith. Not as a man says, but as the Holy Ghost says. The Holy Spirit has to be the Voice behind the Voice. We don’t hear the Voice of a man, we must hear the Voice behind the Voice. When the Holy Spirit moves a man to speak, it is not his voice speaking. Just as the speaker is only an audible manifestation of my voice, so too is the man sent by God only an audible manifestation of the Voice of God speaking inside of him.

That is why it is not heresy for them to use the name Voice of God recordings. It is not the Voice of the Prophet that the Bride hears, it is the Voice of God IN the prophet! That is why the people are so confused, why the world cannot understand it. They are just listening to the man, and missing the VOICE behind the voice.

Do you hear HIS VOICE tonight?

Or are you just hearing mine?

John 10: 27 My sheep hear MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

You are not my sheep, you are not Brother Branham’s sheep, you are not Peter’s sheep or Paul’s sheep, or Luther’s sheep. You are HIS SHEEP. You are the sheep of the Great Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ. That is why the Bride hears HIS VOICE. The Bride are the only ones who can hear the Voice behind the Voice!

Let me say that again so it is perfectly clear.

Mark 4: 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Unto you it is given to hear the Voice behind the Voice. If you name was written in the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world then you are called to hear His Voice, and you will hear it. To the rest of the world, it is a riddle. The Bride does not hear the speaker tonight. The Bride does not hear me tonight.

THE BRIDE HEARS ONLY HIM!

The world hears only me.

The Bride hears Jesus Christ speak through every word that comes out of my mouth, by REVELATION. The world only hears the inane ramblings of an old Newfie.

The Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, by revelation, hears the voice of Holy Spirit speaking through the Revealed Word of God. The world hears an uneducated, stammering, Kentucky hillbilly. That is why they can’t receive the message, why they could not receive Jesus Christ. That is why they can never receive the truth, the Voice of the truth is always hidden behind the voice of an ordinary man.

The Lord hid his Voice in the stammering, stuttering voice of Moses. The Lord God hid his Voice in the voice of a homeless, penniless, uneducated bum named John the Baptist. The Lord God hid his Voice in a farmer name Amos. The Lord hid his Voice in an ignorant and unlearned fisherman name Peter. The list goes on but does not change in nature.

1 Corinthians 1: 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

And without revelation we will never discern the difference.

Luke 10: 22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

We cannot even know who the Lord God is without revelation. How can we say we worship the Lord God if we don’t even know who and what he is? How can we listen to His Voice, if we cannot recognize His Voice? We will be fooled! We will hear a good lecture, a logical argument, earthly wisdom brought with eloquence of speech, and be fooled. We will hear the voice of a man, but completely miss the Voice of God.

John 8: 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

And we have pulpits today full of them. The cannot hear the Voice, yet invade the pulpits all over the world with their own voice.

Romans 16: 17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Good words and fair speeches from the wrong voice will lead us straight to hell. They don’t serve the Lord. They cannot. They don’t even know who he is. They have no relationship with him. He is not their Lord.

How can we worship God if we don’t even know who and what he is, if we do not understand and have the revelation of the Godhead?

John 5: 43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

The Prophet came in the name of the Lord giving all glory and honour to him, and the people rejected both him and his message. Yet those that come in their own names, in blasphemous names, they are celebrated. They get Maga-Churches.

But they don’t realize, those mega-churches and the denominations and the World Council of Churches are binding the tares for the fires of hell. But the Lord is collecting his wheat into the garner.

It’s Harvest Time!

1 Corinthians 12: Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

The term “Lord” implies relationship. A Lord is a ruler. If you have a Lord, then you are the servant of that Lord. This scripture means more than what is on the surface. There is a Voice behind the Voice. To see it we have to go back to Genesis.

Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

This goes on for some time. And God said, and God said. But then we see something interesting happen.

Genesis 2: These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

The whole of creation has him being referred to simply as God. But once the Bible starts speaking of man in the garden, in the flesh, he suddenly is called the LORD God. A relationship has been established.

Now watch! First time I was shown this I just about jumped out of my skin.

Genesis 3: 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

The serpent had NO relationship. To him Elohim was not LORD, he was simply God. “God said”. But watch. Eve also refered to him simply as “God”. In the 3 verse, quoting the Prophet, she stepped out of fellowship and called him simply “God”, not the “Lord God”. At that point the serpent had her and she fell.

Romans 8: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

NONE OF HIS! No relationship! Without the filling of the Holy Spirit, we simply cannot call him our Lord without his Holy Spirit. We can say he is God, but NOT the LORD GOD! We can say “Lord, Lord” but he will say “I never knew you”. Without the New Birth in its fulness, we cannot call Jesus Christ Lord, because he is NOT our Lord. And if he is not our Lord, we will not hear his Voice.

We might hear the voice of the preacher, the voice of the prophet, but not the Voice of the Spirit. It could lead us to Christ, but it won’t be Christ until we receive the Spirit of Christ. The preacher can lead you into the outer court, and into the inner court, but the Holiest of Holies is a place that you must enter alone. Straight is the gate, and narrow is the way that leads to life and few there be that find it. It is so narrow only one can enter at a time. Then when we hear the voice of the preacher, the voice of the prophet, the Voice of the Holy Spirit inside us will quicken that word which we hear in our ears.

I want an old fashioned prayer meeting. What was that like you ask?

Acts 4: 24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: 25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? 26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. 27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

When they prayed the whole earth shook! That ain’t going to happen from mumbling. That won’t come with whispering. That will never happen if we quench the Spirit. We have to be free.

They Lifted Up Their Voice Towards God! It was ONE VOICE! They all prayed. They all shouted. They all cried out at the top of their lungs. But it was ONE VOICE that got lifted up to the Lord God.

It was the VOICE WITHIN THE VOICE!

Romans 8: 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

When we lift our Voices towards Heaven, the Holy Spirit in us will Lift HIS VOICE! The Voice in the Voice will pray for us. The Voice in the Voice that searches our hearts and knows the mind of the Spirit, for the Voice is of the Spirit! If we are not filled with the Holy Spirit, then that VOICE cannot be lifted up to Heaven. All we have is our own Voice, and the Bible says, All Men are Liars. Without the Holy Spirit, our prayers are lying to God.

Let us lift our VOICE to him! Cry out to him! Receive of Him!

Let his VOICE cry out in you!

Then the pillars of the building will shake.

The Pillar of Fire will be there.

The rushing mighty wind will blow through.

EVERY HEART WILL BE FILLED!

The Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified!

Cry out! Surrender to HIM.

LIFT YOUR VOICE!

 

 

The Mystery of God

The Calling

John 17: I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine

sunraysHere the Lord Jesus is facing imminent crucifixion. He has gathered his disciples and is praying to the Father. His words here are interesting, and very different than what we hear in churches today. Jesus refused to pray for the world. Go into any denomination today and they are continually praying for the world. But not Jesus, he flatly refused and spoke it publicly. Jesus told us that he will only pray for those given to him out of the world. Why? Because only those given to him out of the world belong to God. And he goes on to say:

John 17: 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

All whosoever come to Jesus he will keep and NONE will be lost. Jesus only prays for his own and all of his own will be saved.

John 6: 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

This is why Jesus said that we are given to him out of the world. We indeed were in the world, but we do not belong to the world, we are not of the world. The only way to come to Jesus is if the Lord God before the foundation of the world, through his foreknowledge, wrote your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Those whose names are in that book will come to Jesus, he will accept them, he will save them, and none will be lost. Nobody else will come. If you have come to Jesus, it is because the Lord God predestinated you to it before the first subatomic particle was created.

Ephesians 1: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Our salvation was planned, along with the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the very beginning of time. The plan of salvation is not an accident, is not a mistake, it is a carefully devised plan with every detail accounted for in advance.

Luke 8: 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

puzzleThe Bible was intentionally written as a puzzle. Without revelation it is completely impossible to understand it and parse it together. Much of it is historically chronological but certainly not all. The key, as the Scriptures tell us is “line upon line, precept upon precept, word upon word”. But without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we simply cannot get it right.

We have over 1,100 “christian” denominations on earth, all preaching out of the exact same book, all preaching radically different from each other. Not only do they disagree with the Message of the Hour, they don’t even agree with each other. How could master theologians, with numerous advanced degrees and expert knowledge of Greek and Hebrew, with the original texts, all come to completely different ideas based on very simple writings? We just read it.

It is not given to them

They don’t have revelation. Sad but true. The Scriptures we just read establish that. And based on that fact we have to ask if they are even called for eternal life because Jesus said nobody can come except God call them to it. Now that does not mean the people in the denominations are all lost. We are all at different places in our walk. But, Jesus will only save those that are given to him by the Father and none of that group shall be lost. The Bible says that there is literally nothing that can pluck us out of his hand. God does not give revelation to those that are not called; to them, unfortunately, it remains a parable, a riddle. Seeing it they will not see. Hearing it they will not understand. Even the simplest Scriptures like the proper Christian baptism will be a complete mystery. Verily they will not understand my simple words here today either. They will insult and attack it and say all manner of evil against it for the Lord God will not give them revelation. Hence the Bible says:

1 Corinthians 2: 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The things of God, all the things of God, the entire Word of God, The Bible from cover to cover, is spiritually discerned. The natural man, the carnal mind, the intellectual giant, cannot and will not ever understand it. We cannot study our way into heaven. Saul of Tarsus was the most educated, smartest theologian in Israel knowing the scriptures forward and backward, and he was persecuting the Church with it. It was not until he met Jesus and on the road to Damascus received the revelation of the Mystery of the Godhead, that he started serving the Lord. At that point he said he counted all his learning as dung. As Jesus said to Peter, “flesh and blood had not revealed it unto you, but my Father in heaven hath revealed it”. That is the Rock of Salvation. Not Peter, REVELATION!

So there are mysteries. We just read that. There are many, many mysteries that can only be fully understood through revelation. So which mysteries count? Which ones do we have to know? Do we need to understand all of them? NO. Because that would make salvation an intellectual act. Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:2 says that you could understand them all and still be lost for it is not the knowledge of doctrines that saves us. But is there a particular mystery, one thing hidden to the world, that ties it all together?

Revelation 10: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Notice in the other scriptures the Bible talks of “mysteries”, plural, but here we see the word “mystery”, singular. So there is a singular mystery, that has been handed down to us throughout the entire Bible by the prophets, that is hidden from the world, and is finished, revealed, in the very last day by the very last Church Age Messenger, brother William Branham. There is a secret, that the Lord God Jehovah has saved for the Laodicean Church Age. There is a particular mystery that Jehovah told us of, yet did not fully reveal until the very end. This one secret is the key that ties all other mysteries together. It is so essential the he reserved the Elijah ministry of Malachi 4:5-6 to reveal it.

The Mystery of God

1 Timothy 3: 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

The Mystery of God, the revelation of the Godhead, is the one key mystery. Without it we do not even know who or what God is. Without that one revelation all the others are powerless because we will not be able to apply them to our lives.

How can we say we worship God when we do not have clue who he is? How can we enter into the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ if we cannot even understand who and what The Lord Jesus Christ is? We will be heathens, fooling ourselves. We will be religious, yet walking in complete darkness. That is why Jesus admonished us:

Luke 13: 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

These people thought they were Christians. They knew the name of Jesus Christ, but they did not know him. They did not have the revelation of the mystery of God. They thought they were serving and worshiping God, yet they had no clue who Jesus Christ is. And for all their good works, for all their charity, for all their helps, singing in the choir, preaching from the pulpits, building schools and  hospitals, missionaries to the the far corners of the glove, feed the hungry, clothing the poor, and yet completely and utterly lost, without God in the world. The world is a darkness and the people a gross darkness saith the Lord.

This one revelation is the key that has been reserved for the Bride of Christ. It is unto his Bride that the Groom unveils himself, and to no other. Only the called, the “very elect”, the ones given to Jesus by God the Father will receive the revelation that Jehovah of the Old Testament is Jesus of the new. They, and they alone will see God above us, God with us and God in us as three manifestations of the self same person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is in the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, but without the Holy Spirit opening our eyes, we will miss it completely. It is clear in Isaiah 9:6 yet without revelation, we won’t see it, ever.

If you have received the revelation of the mystery of the Godhead, if it dwells not just in your mind as a doctrine, but in your heart, then you are called of God, chosen and elect, a member of the Bride of Christ. If you possess the revelation of the Mystery of God, then know most assuredly you did not figure it out, it was not taught to you by your pastor, it was not given you by the Prophet, it was given to you before the foundation of the World when the Lord God wrote you name in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

If you don’t have that revelation then I beg you, I urge you, fast and pray until the Lord unveils this truth to you. Wait upon him. Cry out to the Lord for the revelation. Cry out to meet him. Cry out for the pillar of fire to come to you and reveal the hidden mystery and introduce himself to you. If you have  desire to know it, then that desire was put in your heart by the Lord. You cannot come to him unless he first draw you.

Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in Heaven. When the Lord comes, he will grant for you to sit with him in his throne as he is sit down in his father’s throne.

Infection Healed

The Lord Jesus Christ never fails. His word is eternal. He is the same divine healer today that he was yesterday.

The Inception of the Infection

I don’t know how it happened. It started as a sore spot. It felt like a mild burn. I first thought that maybe I had scalded it when I was getting the bath ready for the kids. But it wasn’t a burn, it was an infection along the nail bed of my left ring finger.

At first the infection seemed mild; a small blister. There was slight discomfort but it did not look like a problem. I figured it would go away after a day or two. I had to go out of town for a trade show. At the show I banged the finger a few times while setting up and taking down the equipment. The infection was bruised and grew worse.

After a few days it encompassed half of the top of the finger and had worked its way into the nail bed. I soaked it as you would think to and applied a bread poultice. The infection exploded out the side.

Then it got worse again so I applied another poultice. And again the infection expoded.

All the while people kept preaching fear to me. They were telling me that I was going to lose my finger. They said I would get blood poison and die. Someone even went so far as to offer me their prescription of antibiotics that a doctor had given them earlier for something else. Instead of listening to the council of man, I took the council of God. I knew that the moment I visited a doctor, that I took the first pill, any healing would automatically be attributed to that and the Lord would be ignored.

The Cure: Divine Healing from Jesus Christ

I turned it over to the Lord. The infection went away. The old dead skin sloughed off and fresh new pink skin was left in place.

Jesus told us that healing is the bread of the children of God. We are the Bride of Christ if we have the Holy Spirit. If you don’t have the Holy Spirit, if you are not born again, if the Lord Jesus is not manifesting his holy word in your life in supernatural signs, wonders and miracles, then simply follow the prescription in the Bible in Acts 2:38-39 and you will receive the Holy Spirit and scriptures like James 5: 14-16 will be manifest in your life, as it was in mine.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. His word cannot fail. Just trust in him no matter what the world tells you. Ignore anything contrary to the Word of God. If you trust in him with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, you shall experience the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 5: 11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink: that continue until night, till wine inflame them! 12 And the harp, and the viol, the babret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the lord, neither consider the operation of his hands. 13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

What a word this is! I was hoping for a shorter word for this evening but you could preach a decade on this. It is hard to know where to start but I am going to try to keep it short. There are so many ideas here. But I see the central theme for us this evening as being the 13th verse. “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”

My People!

Notice here that God does not say the people, but “MY people” are gone into captivity. MY people! Not the world, not the denominations, not muslims or hindus, MY PEOPLE! The people of God, the church, the called out ones, are gone into captivity. We are supposed to be free. Jesus said the truth shall set us free. We have the word, and we have the message and yet Isaiah says we are being taken captive. How can this be? How can the church of the living God be taken captive in this day when we have the greatest light that has ever been? For the first time in history we not only have the entire Bible, but we have the entire Bible revealed. Even the Apostles didn’t have it. Luther didn’t have it. Wesley didn’t have it but we have it and today we also have captivity.

You might bed tempted to say “wait a minute, Isaiah is taking about his time”. The Bible says by two or three witnesses let all things be established.

Revelation 13: 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 he that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Is this Isaiah’s time? This is here and now. This is our age. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity. Who is leading into captivity? Who is leading the saints into captivity? The preachers! Preaching off the word and preaching a second hand gospel and preaching their own dogmas. They are leading the children of God into captivity. Look at our scripture.

11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink: that continue until night, till wine inflame them!

He is not talking about drunks here. This isn’t alcoholism. He is talking about a religious spirit, a religious fervor. They rise early with a religious fervor, they are full of religious emotion to the point where they become intoxicated and inflamed with it. Inflamed by it. Set on fire. Excited! They dance all over the stage, jump up and down and shout and scream from the pulpit. And the people in the benches are even worse. They put on a big show with lots of emotion. Church has become a Broadway musical these days. They get charged up and charge up the people and everyone is jumping and dancing and shouting “Amen!” to every word and not even paying attention to check what is being said.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you; whose judgment now of a long time lingerth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

There is your third witness. They with feigned words and fair speeches will lead into captivity. They will preach up a storm. There will be a huge emotional rush through the people. And they are doing it for money. Do you know how much they are making? Brother Branham refused to drive a Cadillac because he felt that he should not be driving a better car than the average man, and the cars they drive today put a Cadillac to shame. A brand new Cady would be a down payment for some of the cars, and jet airplanes, owned by preachers today. They have a religious spirit and the people sitting and listening will catch the same spirit and be taken captive by it. It is a very dangerous thing.

12 And the harp, and the viol, the babret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.

The churches will have the best music programs, the best buildings, the most beautiful architecture, the most professional sound system, the most wonderful organization, but they also will “not regard the word of the Lord not consider the operation of his hands”. Quite a thought that such a big beautiful church who claims to follow the message and believe the word would be so far off from it as to not even consider it nor regard it. How can this be?

Religious Hypocrisy

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

There you have it. Religious hypocrisy! We can sing, and we can have the best orchestra filled with university graduated musicians. We can praise, and we can pray, and we can worship, and we can call out in Jesus name. We can read the Bible, and we can quote the prophet and put his picture up all over our churches and homes, but if we disregard the Revealed Word of God in favour of a doctrine of man, no matter how good it sounds, how logical it is, then all of our worship is in vain. It all starts at the pulpit.

We have lots of preachers but very few Word preachers. Jesus said it would be this way. He said the harvest is great and the labourers are few. Pray for labourers! Pray that the Lord God would call more Spirit filled men to the field who will actually consider the operations of God, and regard the works of the Lord, and not care about the money or the popularity. Pray for men who know God and have intimate knowledge of his ways and his Word. How can I introduce you to someone who I do not know myself? We need Holy Spirit filled, God sent, anointed preachers. We have too many religious men and not enough Godly men. It has always been that way. One Elijah to 450 prophets of Baal. One Elisha to a whole host of worldly prophets. One Micah to 400 prophets with lying spirits.

It is the even worse today!

And these false anointed preachers are taking the people captive by the millions. Good people, children of God are being taken captive by these religious spirits in religious preachers. And you might ask why is it that they are able to take the children of God captive? Good question.

Knowledge

13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Knowledge! The people are gone into captivity “because they have no knowledge”. Surprised? No knowledge. That is God’s own words from the mouth of his holy anointed, spirit filled prophet, not mine. God says the people, the message people, the message preachers, have no knowledge. As I pointed out earlier, we have both the Bible in print and the Message that reveals the Bible, both in print and on tape, and we hear it over and over and can quote from 3,000 hours of preaching by a vindicated prophet of God, and the Lord God says we have no knowledge.

The message believers today have no knowledge!

Knowledge of God does not come with Bible reading. Knowledge of God does not come with church going. Knowledge of God does not come with message listening. You do not get knowledge of God by pressing the play button. That might rub some wrong but just wait a moment, bear with me, and you will see. Knowledge of God does not come with singing or playing an instrument. If any of those would bring you knowledge of God then Saul of Tarsus would have known God personally for he was the most educated theologian in all of Israel. Yet when Saul came face to face with the Lord Jesus in the pillar of fire, he realized that he did not know anything of God whatsoever.

Knowledge of God comes only from a personal experience with God!

Saul learned more of the Lord God in those three or four minutes in front of that pillar of fire than in many years of Bible School and Seminary. Moses learned more of God in a few moments with a burning bush than in 80 years of life and 40 years of the best education that the world had to offer. In order to know God, to have knowledge of who and what the Lord God is, we have to meet God personally. Some will point quite accurately to the fact that the prophet directed us not to preach until we have seen God personally. Amen! But if you look to the message he went even further to say that you are not even a Christian until you have met God personally. And if we have not met him then how can we know him and if we do not know him, and have no knowledge of him, then we will be taken into captivity.

Our scripture goes on to say that the honorable men are famished. Starved! They are not being fed. The preachers are preaching, the singers are singing and the righteous are starving for the Word of God. How can this be brothers and sisters?

Quoting another preacher, even a vindicated prophet, will never feed a true child of God. An eagle needs fresh meat, not left-overs chewed out from another man’s sermons. Brother Branham was a Word Prophet and as a Word Prophet he pointed us back to the Word of God alone. Every Word preacher will point you back to the Word of God alone as well. If the preacher has the same spirit as the prophet did, then he will preach the same way as the prophet did. The prophet preached from the Word.

Not only do the honorable suffer, but it says that the multitude is dried up with thirst. Thirst for the water of the spirit and a parched thirst for the moving of the spirit. There is a famine of hearing the Word of God and a thirst for the spirit that is not being met in the churches today. Remember the foolish virgins have no oil. The Laodicean church has no oil, only the Bride does. The church has no oil because they have no knowledge of God. And they have no knowledge of God because they have not met God. And they have not met God because they are not being told to seek him, and not being led to him. Right back to the pulpit again!

2 Timothy 2: 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Straight from the pulpit it comes. We must not fight and argue but teach the truth for that will lead men to repentance, and by repenting they will meet God and He shall recover them from the snare of the devil, the religious spirit, that takes them captive at will. If the people are not told, then the people will not know. The watchman is responsible to the people to warn of the enemy.

For months every time I opened the Bible, any Bible, it always turned to the same spot, and every time I read it, it spoke loudly to me.

Ezekiel 13:1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord; 3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. 5 They have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. 6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. 7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord Saith it; albeit I have not spoken? 8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you saith the Lord God. 9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies; they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.

Foolish teachers, ministers of any kind really, following their own spirit. They don’t stand in the breach. They are not sent of the Lord. they divine lies by preaching doctrines of men. They are taking the children of God captive by religion. These are not prophets of Baal that the Lord God is addressing here, these are prophets of spiritual Israel. These are not the denominations, these are the message preachers of today. Certainly there are good message preachers but this is not addressing them. This is quite accurately aimed at a select group of men that were not sent by God, but went according to their own ideas preaching for gain. And when these men get hold of a pulpit they will build big groups; huge groups, that have lots of religion, lots of emotion, but are starving for the Word and the Spirit of God.

We are just a little family here today but we desperately need to know this. If we do not come to know the Lord God personally through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, then we will be taken captive by a religious spirit. If we are in the wrong place, then we will be starved for the word, parched for the spirit, and surrounded by religious pomp and celebration. The Bible said that we are to offer up the sacrifice of praise, but if that sacrifice is not washed then it is an abomination to God. Religious pomp and celebration, no matter how skilled or sweet to the ear, if it is not sanctified by the Holy Spirit of God, it is an abomination unto him.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

There is our answer. Jesus! He alone can set us free. He alone can give us liberty. He alone can free us from the spirits that threaten to take us captive. And he does it personally, not by creed, not by dogmas, not by church going, but by meeting him personally and getting to know him personally. We must regard the work of the Lord. We must consider his operations. God is alive and well. He is a miracle God. He is the same yesterday today and forever. Everything that is written in the Bible about him is just as true today as it was the day it was written.

Don’t get caught up in emotion. Don’t get caught up in a big show. Don’t get distracted by large crowds. Do not let a fancy building catch your eye. Get caught up in the spirit of God. The songs and the worship and the celebration are all important and even vital, but without the Spirit of God, it is dead. Where are the gifts? Where are the miracles? God is a miracle God. We point to the signs, wonders and miracles in Brother Branham’s ministry, but where are they in our lives? In Jesus’ day they pointed to Moses. In our day they point to Brother Branham. Let us look instead to Jesus. Let’s be like Gideon, the mighty man of valour, let’s seek out God personally and seek out his moving in our lives personally.

God is here right now to meet us. His spirit, the pillar of fire, is right there in the room with you at this very moment. He is waiting to hear from you, waiting for your invitation. He is waiting for you to regard His works and to consider His operations. Let’s all come together in one accord to consider His operations. Let’s all agree to regard His works. And not the works and operations of yesterday, but God’s works today in our lives, in our midst, right there in that room at the moment you are reading this.

The Bible says that the Lord is closer to you than your own breath. He is right there with you. The pillar of fire is right before you. Can you feel him? He is there filling the room. Seek him! Cry out to him! Reach out to him!

The Lord God Jehovah gave us a law. We find that law written throughout the pages of the Old Testament. That law condemned us all to die because none of us were able to follow it. And we should also remember that the Bible says in James that if we break one word of the law we are guilty of the whole law. The penalty for breaking the law is death. God, however, did not want us all to die, he wanted us to live. To accomplish his goal, the Lord God came veiled in the flesh in the man of Jesus Christ and fulfilled the entire law and took all of our sins upon himself and gave his life in place of ours.

It was you and I that were condemned to die on that cross, for you and I committed the sins that put Jesus there. But Jesus Christ, the great Kinsmen Redeemer, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the bright morning star, the rose of Sharron, the lily of the valley, the prince of peace, took your sins and my sins and all of our iniquities and bled and died there for you and I so that we might live with him forever.

This is a very well known doctrine to church going folks. If the Lord will, I would like to look a little deeper into it, to see exactly what the law was, why it was given and exactly what the Bible is telling us when it says that Jesus “fulfilled” the law. We also like to say that we are no longer under the law. We will by the grace of God look a little deeper into that statement and root out in the scriptures exactly what this means. Some will be very surprised indeed by what we will find.

Galatians 3: 19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

So the Bible says that the law is there to deal with transgressions, and the law exists because of those transgressions. This is an interesting and important point. Most would naturally think that the transgressions must come as a result of the law, but we find it written here in the opposite order. The law was added because of transgressions. First the transgressions existed, then the law was added because of them. The law is God’s answer to transgressions.

And the Word says that the law will continue UNTIL the seed should come to whom the promise was made. Who was that promised seed of Abraham, the promised seed of the woman back in the Garden of Eden? God said unto the serpent in Genesis chapter three that “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and the woman’s seed, and you shall bruise his heal, but he shall bruise your head”. The seed of the woman, the promised seed, was none other than Jesus Christ.

Now notice that the law actually existed before Moses. Moses did not write the law, he merely penned it as God spoke it to him. And in fact the famous Ten Commandments were even penned by the Lord God himself as he wrote them in stone with his own finger as the prophet Moses stood by and watched. The law actually started way back in Eden. I used to think that it started with Moses myself but the word explicitly says otherwise.

The first law was “eat not of the fruit for the day you eat thereof you will die”. That was the law in Eden. That was the only law they had at that time. Don’t eat and if you eat you die. It was short, it was simple and it was the law.

Notice now the two components of a law. Every law must have these two components or it is not a law. The first essential component is the thing that you are not supposed to do, and the second is the consequences for doing it. “Do not eat”: was the thing you aren’t supposed to do. And, “IF you eat you die”: was the unconditional Consequences. And every law has these two components.

Without both components it is not a law. Without a commandment it has no direction, and every law must be enforceable. Therefore if there is no consequence for breaking the law then the law is no longer enforceable and of no effect. Adam and Eve did not know much of the law back then but what they did know they were more than able to transgress.

The Bible said the Law was “added” because of transgressions. It was “added”, not just given in one shot but added, which in the Greek is prostithemi which is a verb meaning to increase or to proceed further in giving. So the law was given, but not at once, not in one place or at one specific time but rather it was given and increased over the passage of time, and proceeded further in its giving because of transgressions. The law unfolded with time. The law was a progressive revelation.

So is that it, or is there a deeper reason? Nothing happens without reason and there is no coincidence in life. Is there something more here, another layer? Why would God give the law out in a piecemeal fashion, a little here and a little there, and not in one big lump right at the beginning?

What is the underlying purpose of the law? We know it was given because of transgressions, but how was the law supposed to deal with those transgressions? What was the law doing with those transgressions and with the people it was given to? What is the relationship between us, the law, and the transgressions, and God the law giver and judge? The Bible gives us those answers.

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

The law was our Schoolmaster. It is our teacher. The Bible says that it was brought in and added because of transgressions AND its purpose was to bring us unto Jesus Christ by teaching us as a schoolmaster. Then after the law brings us to Christ we might be justified by faith. That is a mouthful.

It doesn’t say that we can be justified by the law. The law does not and cannot justify anyone for every word of the law that we transgress condemns us to death. Rather, the law brings us to a place where we can be justified. And it brings us there by teaching us something. So if the law brings us to a place where we can be justified by faith through teaching us, then we need to know exactly what the law is supposed to be teaching us?

Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

This ties in nicely with our central theme and opens the door a little more for us. It goes back a couple of scriptures and weaves itself in. So putting it together so far we see that the law was added because of transgressions and without the law there are transgressions, but we do not know of them and are left guiltless of the law. Why is there no guilt of transgressions without the law? The law alone determines what is, and what is not a transgression. So if there is no law, there is no crime. The act still exists, and the act can be against the perfect will of God, but there can be no crime assigned.

Look at the internet today. It is very new so there are almost no laws in place to govern what goes on with it. And when people are using it wrongly or for some evil purpose, nobody can hold them accountable in this world for their actions because there is no law on the books to charge them with. There is no commandment, and there are no consequences. So until someone writes a law, the police and the courts have no justification in arresting the people. They have nothing to charge them with. There might be horrible acts going on but there is no crime.

But once the law is in place you cannot do those same things anymore. You could do them before but the law is written but once the law is written, then the act becomes a crime. This is a very important and interesting point to note. The law is not retroactive. God created time for a purpose and uses time and has given us definite timelines within the plan of salvation.

So if you commit an offense yesterday and they bring in a law against it today you are free. But if you commit that same thing tomorrow, you go to jail, even if you have been doing it for years before without fault.

Here is an earthly example. The road from your house to work is not very busy and the speed limit is 50 mph. You drive it every day at 50 mph for 15 years. Then as the city develops the area and the road gets busier and someone decides that 50 mph is too fast and one Tuesday morning the speed limit is reduced to 30 mph. It does not matter that you have been driving at 50 for all those years. If you drive at 31 mph today you will get a ticket for speeding. You will not be ticketed for driving 50 mph on Monday, but Tuesday driving that very same road, in that very same car, at that very same speed will earn you a fine. On Monday it is an act with impunity, but on Tuesday that very same act becomes a crime with a punishment.

Here is a spiritual example from the scriptures. Abraham married his sister Sarah. She was his half sister and he took her for his wife. God blessed the union such that he gave them a miracle baby and made that baby the promised seed through whom God would bless the entire planet and every living soul on it. Keeping that fact in mind let us look at what the law of Moses clearly says about the act of a man marrying his sister.

Leviticus 18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of they father OR the daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

It is needful to note the word “or” in this passage. The word or is in there for a reason. Some will say “but Sarah was his Half sister”. The law doesn’t say the daughter of thy father AND mother, it says the daughter of thy father OR mother. So according to the law of Moses, Abraham committed sin punishable by death. Abraham clearly violated the laws of Moses. How could God bless a union that was in clear violation of his law that he gave us through his prophet?

Abraham married his sister, an act which is condemned by God’s law. That we have established. Did Abraham sin? Absolutely not! Why? The law clearly shows that what Abraham did with Sarah in marrying her was a direct contravention of the law of God as written by his prophet Moses. So if Abraham transgressed the direct commandment of God, then how is there no sin?

The law concerning that transgression had not yet been added. Without law there is no guilt of transgression. And it wasn’t just Abraham that married his sister. Abel. Seth. Enos. The first few men had no choice, they either had to marry a sister or not marry at all for there were no other women on the planet. But it was not sin because there was no law concerning it yet and where there is no law there is no guilt of transgression. But don’t you do it today. If you do it today you will be found guilty and condemned with the world.

Now does that mean that if we don’t know the law we are saved? No don’t go getting that idea. Even in the laws of man, the ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse. The Bible covers that too:

Romans 2: 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.

They did not know any better so they are judged outside of the law. They however still do not have Christ because it is the law that is the schoolmaster that leads us to Christ. So without the law they are not judged in the law, yet they still do not, and cannot, have Christ. So since the law leads us to Christ we cannot find salvation outside of the law, and since the law cannot justify us we cannot find salvation IN the law either. The law leads us to Jesus Christ, who is the salvation, the resurrection and the life. Jesus said:

Luke 12: 47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

See, the law teaches us to come to Christ, but if we do not come, the punishment is most severe. Ignorance is no excuse. The one who did not know of the law was still beaten with stripes. But the one who knew it was doubly guilty, first for transgressing the law and then also for disregarding the law which he knew. The Bible goes on to say in Hebrews that if we sin willfully after we come to the knowledge of the truth there is no more sacrifice for sin but a certain fearful looking for judgment.

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus tells us here that we must do the will of the Father if we are to have any hope of entering the kingdom of Heaven. Then in order to be saved we need to know exactly what is the will of the Father? How can we know what the will of the Father is?

We need someone to teach us what the Will of the Father is or we could never know it. Without a teacher we are lost. God provided a teacher and not just any old teacher but a schoolmaster. The law is our schoolmaster. The law tells us what sin is, and what is not sin. It is the law that teaches us what the perfect will of God is. The law was added because of transgressions against God’s perfect will. It was added to teach us what those transgressions are and to show us what our reward is if we do them. Without the law how would we know? How would you know what God required of you unless He told you? You could try guessing. Lots of churches do that and look where it got them. We have over a thousand “Christian” churches today all preaching different, all preaching a different “perfect will of God”. God can only have ONE perfect will.

So the Law is our schoolmaster. Unfortunately that leaves us with a peculiar little paradox. We are told conclusively that we need the law, and that it is the law that teaches us the perfect will of God and leads us to Christ that we might be justified. But the Bible also says:

Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law.

How can we resolve this apparent contradiction? Like I said many times in the past, every line has to run true or it isn’t Bible. The Bible is incapable of contradicting itself, so if we find a contradiction then we must be off the scriptures somewhere.

If our doctrine gets stuck somewhere in scripture then that is a sign that our doctrine is wrong and we have to start over. Always remember that. If we have to explain away a single line of scripture, then our Urim Thummim, the Holy Bible, the Word of God, is telling us that we are wrong. Every doctrine of God lines up perfectly with every single word in the Bible. There are no mistakes.

But are we stuck with a contradiction or do we just need a couple of scriptures to bridge the gap in our understanding? There isn’t any gap in the Word, it’s complete and perfect. The gap is in our understanding of the Word, or rather our lack of understanding of the Word of God.

So let’s find the bridge that ties the two thoughts perfectly together.

The law is our schoolmaster, which the Bible says in Galatians, has two purposes. It first brings us to Christ. Second, in bringing us to Christ it brings us to a place where we can be justified by faith.

Lets start with the first thought. The law is our schoolmaster which brings us to Christ. So the law teaches us something, and what we learn from the law somehow brings us to Christ. Is that right? What does the law teach us?

We’ve already seen that it teaches us what is and what is not sin by showing us and defining what transgressions are. It clearly demonstrates to us what the perfect will of God is and thus shows us when we are not in the perfect will of God.

If we know what the crimes are, then we know what God wants us to avoid doing. And if we know what God wants us to NOT do, then by default does it not also tell us what God wants us to do? And if we know what God wants us to do, and we know what God wants us to not do, doesn’t that mean that we know the will of God? It makes sense doesn’t it? This brings us back to what Jesus said about who gets into the kingdom, those who do the will of my Father. And now by the teaching of the schoolmaster, we can know what the will is.

How can you do the will if you don’t know what the will is? We’ve come full circle. So the schoolmaster teaches us the Will of God. Is that all it teaches? Is that all we need, to know what the transgressions are? Will that in and of itself bring us to Christ and to justification by faith? The Bible says no. The Bible says it is not enough to know the law. It is not enough to know the will of the father. Jesus didn’t say those who know the will of the Father get into heaven, but only those who DO the will of the Father. Remember it also says in James chapter two “you believe in one God, you have done well, the devil also believes and trembles”. (Most churches today don’t even believe in one God, they believe in three Gods. They are not even as spiritual as the devil.)

James 1: 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Knowing right from wrong is not enough, we must be doers of the word and not hearers only. And James pointed out that it is the law that teaches us as well.

St. John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Jesus said if you didn’t know better then there was no sin, but since you do know better, and you claim to know better, your sin remains. They knew the will of the Father, they had the schoolmaster of the law, but they did not obey and they did not receive its teaching. They had been under its teaching their whole lives. But still it wasn’t enough. Was it just because they did not obey the law?

Lets take an example:

Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him , Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God. 19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. 20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross and follow me.

So here we have someone who knows the law, and who keeps the law and has kept it his whole life, yet that wasn’t enough because he could see that he did not possess eternal life. He still was not justified. Knowing and keeping the law did not justify him. The law cannot justify us.

The law is our schoolmaster, and it teaches us what the transgressions are. And in teaching us it is supposed to bring us to Christ but the law itself cannot justify us. We can have the whole law and yet be unjustified as the rich ruler was. He had the law and the Bible says he even kept it from his youth, but he did not have eternal life. He was not justified. He was lost.

But it is not the law that justifies us. It was never intended to justify us but to bring us to the One that would justify us. That man is Jesus Christ. And he justified us through the law by fulfilling the law. Remember earlier we said the law has two components. One told us what not to do. And the other told us of the penalty for transgression. The first part was accomplished to John the Baptist time. That is what Jesus said. The law and the prophets were unto John. So the Old Testament is the schoolmaster that shows us what not to do and what to do. Where does Jesus come in?

Jesus Christ fulfilled the entire law. The law was added until John then Jesus, the great capstone, fulfilled the law. He fulfilled the law first by taking the commandment part of the law and changing it from an external law to an internal law. In the old testament it was a physical do or do not. But Jesus tells us that it is not enough to maintain a physical outer law. We must have the law internally.

Matthew 5: 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment. BUT I SAY unto you that whosoever is angry with his brother without cause shall be in danger of the judgment. 

Just stop there for a moment. If we are angry at a brother without cause we are guilty of murder? Is that what Jesus is saying. He said in old days you had to actually take the life but today it is sufficient to hate without cause. The External law is transformed to an Internal law today. God said in our day he would write his word upon our hearts and minds. So if it is written on our hearts and minds then it can also be also transgressed in our hearts and minds. This is an essential concept. I hope you are catching that.

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 BUT I SAY unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Jesus said that the person has “Committed it in his heart”. The law is written on our hearts so it is also transgressed in our hearts. So then what chance do we have? At least at one time it was a matter of subjugating the urges you felt and just not going out and doing them. Now to simply willfully entertain those things in our thoughts makes us guilty of sin. Is there any hope for any of us? Certainly not in the law, it condemns us to death. It condemns us internally.

1 John 3: 20 for if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence towards God. 22 And whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

The law is now an internal law and will condemn us internally if we even desire to commit a transgression of the law.

But Jesus fulfilled the whole law. He fulfilled the first part. He fulfilled the law by completing the second part as well. He took the entire penalty for all transgressions upon himself. He took All the transgressions both external and internal. He paid the price in his flesh for every sin committed, past, present and future.

That is our only hope, our only salvation, our only reason to live, our only way to live. He alone is the truth the life and the way. He is all in all. Oh what miserable creatures we were without him. And when we receive Him we are set free from the law of sin. Here we get to a very crucial point. This is a point that will surprise most who read this. It is perfectly scriptural but little known. It is absolutely the Bible, absolutely the truth but hidden from most. Remember the paradox we just reviewed.

Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law.

And also:

Galatians 3: 25 But AFTER that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

So the schoolmaster, the law, teaches us and bring us to Christ and then WHEN we receive Christ in faith, He justifies us through that faith because he fulfilled the law. At THIS POINT we are set free from the law. It is the very moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior that we are set free from the law. We were not set free 2000 years ago. He fulfilled his part back then, but we are not personally set free from the Law until the moment we accept Jesus Christ.

We are set free from the Law the moment we receive Christ, not before.

So what of those who have not received Christ? So what of those not led by the spirit? The term If always goes with then. If, then. IF, IF ye are led of the spirit THEN, ye are not under the law. We have to slow down here a little. This is going to be a chunk of meat for some I think.

So then are those who are not led by the spirit, those who refuse the spirit, those who refuse Christ still under the law? Absolutely!

Those who refuse Christ are still under the law!

They will have to stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an answer for every word in the law. We are either under the law or under grace, there is no third position. We are either in or out. We are either saved or lost. With law comes the judgment and if there were no law then there could not be judgment. And the Bible says he who offends the law in one word is guilty of all. Is that Bible? We mentioned it earlier.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

He is “guilty of all”. If we do not receive Jesus Christ as our saviour, if we are not justified by faith in Him, we will be held accountable for every letter of the law and we will be found Guilty of ALL.

Galatians 3:10 for as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in ALL things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

All the things, not some of them, not most of them, not all but one thing, A-L-L, ALL of them. If we are not in Christ Jesus then we are still under the entire written law. The New Testament is of absolutely none effect to us without the blood of Jesus Christ.

So then what do we do? Receive Christ! Sound good but how? Men and brethren what shall we do?

Acts 2: 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

See, at this point Jesus had already died for our sins some 50 days ago and risen and ascended on high, but those men who witnessed the pouring out of the Holy Spirit were pricked in their hearts. They were internally condemned by the internal law of the Spirit of God. They were guilty of the law and condemned by it and they knew it. They realized they needed to be justified.

Peter said to them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Do you see it? By receiving Jesus Christ we are set free from the law. Without law is no sin. We still committed the acts, but we are set free from the guilt of it. When we repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, it is at that moment that we are set free from the law. It is at that moment in time that we are justified. Until that very second we were completely under the law and guilty of the whole law and condemned to death and hell.

And we must follow exactly for there is a way that seems right unto man the end thereof is death. The Bible gives us a very detailed description of how to receive Jesus Christ. First we must repent, get the inward law and acknowledge our transgressions and make right those things we had made wrong. Then we must be baptized in full immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ. No other baptism, no baptism in titles, but specifically in the name of Jesus Christ. Thre is exactly one baptism. That is why in Acts chapter 19 a group of repentant believing Christians needed to be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ; their original baptism was in error.

Another place where people get lost here is they forget the repent part. Miss that and you go in a dry sinner and come out a wet one. Repent. Make the wrong into a right. Live according to His commandments. Die unto yourselves. Baptism is a burial. And today I think we bury to many live people.

St. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him. If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

What does it mean to “keep” his words? Does it just mean to know them? Does it maybe mean to not change them in any way? The Greek word used here is tereo which means to guard, obey and observe. The Greek word for prison has the same root. So how do we keep His words? It is more than to just know them or to maintain them. To keep the word of God is to imprison them in our hearts and minds. Don’t let them go. Guard them with our lives.

We guard them, we observe them, we obey them, we live them. But what of the law, we are free from the law. So how can we be free from law and yet still have commandments to obey? Are they not the same, commandments and law?

We saw how the law has two facets, a do or do not do, and a punishment for transgression. And we have seen that it is no more an external law but an internal law of the desires of the heart. But here we have commandments. Here we have a way of life laid out in print. And there is not a punishment for not transgressing his commandments.

If we do not keep his commandments then we are still under the law and the law contains the punishment. Do you see it? Jesus said if we keep his commandments, his words, then He will make his abode with us and justify us and free us from the law. So when we keep his words we are free from the law. Then, conversely, when we reject his words, any of his words, we are guilty under the law.

So then we need to receive Him. Have we received him? How do we know we have received him? How do we know we are justified?

Jesus said by their fruits ye shall know them. So what are the fruits? What was the sign of the spirit, the sign that the 120 were told by Jesus to watch for at Pentecost? The sign was Power. How does that power manifest? What is the fruit of that vine?

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions heresies 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they with do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith 23 meekness, temperance: against which there is not law.

See, the law is brought in because of transgressions, because of the work of the flesh, and the law condemns those works and assigns a punishment to them. But the fruit of the spirit aren’t transgressions so there is no law concerning them. So when we receive the spirit of God then we are free from works of the flesh and thus the law concerning those works, being justified by faith in Jesus Christ.

A little note here that I hope doesn’t concern anyone reading here. The word witchcraft doesn’t mean black magic here, it is from the Greek word pharmakeia which means drug user. It means a Drug user of any kind. We are not talking medicines we are talking recreational or addicted drug user. We are talking about cigarette smokers. It refers to marijuana smokers. It is pointing out heroin, MMDA, Cocaine, etc etc users. They are different words but all the same meaning. Paul says if you smoke you will NOT inherit the kingdom of God because you are still under the law as a transgressor of the law and will be judged by the law.

So get free from the works of the flesh today. Jesus Christ bled and died to set you free from those things. Accept him and his sacrifice today. Throw those things out of your life and be saved in Christ. Throw them in the garbage and go to your knees in prayer for strength to overcome, for faith to be delivered and he will give it to you because he promised it. God cannot lie. God cannot fail.

Why can we not live in the works of the flesh and be saved? Because the sprit and the flesh are contrary to each other and the works of the flesh are the very transgressions that the law was added for. We cannot serve God and mammon.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and you members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness.

It says here to whom (personal pronoun) we yield ourselves to obey Him (personal pronoun) we serve. If we obey the spirit of God, THEN we are justified by faith and free from the law. But if we yield to sin and the spirit of the world, to the flesh, then we are not justified and still under the law and will be judged accordingly.

And it is not just a matter of doing the acts anymore. We saw earlier that it is a matter of WANTING to do them, of consciously desiring them. Now we are all tempted, that is for sure, and tempted in our weakness and in our flesh. The difference is in what we DECIDE to do about it. A battle rages in the mind of every Christian, the greatest battle ever fought. And the thoughts in our minds during this battle are not sin, they are temptations TO sin. They arise out of our flesh, and out of our weakness.

So what is the difference? When does our fleshly lusts, which we all have and will have until the rapture changes our bodies, when does it become sin? When is it a transgression? When is it the fruit of the flesh? The thoughts are the seed and a seed must germinate and grow to bear fruit. So then when does the seed of sin that the devil is trying to plant become the fruit of the flesh and sin?

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man way when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be temped with evil, neither tempted he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

So the temptation is not sin but a blessing! That is hard to believe and I think most will reread that line because they will think they read it wrong the first time. The temptations are a blessing. The Bible says so. We are blessed when we endure temptation.

The fight in our minds, the evil thoughts that come up, the war we have with the devil on a daily basis, is a blessing to us IF we are overcomers. For when we are tried we receive a crown of life. But when do these trials become a sin, a transgression? When we let them conceive, when we make the decision that we want consciously to do them. It is not just having the desire in our flesh, that is the battle, but when we decide that yes I want to do that. That is when we become wilfull sinners. When we decide that even though we know the Word says not to do it, even though our schoolmaster says it is a transgression, we decide that we want to do it anyway. Then we let the thoughts enter our hearts.

It is at this point that sin conceives in us and bears the fruit in time. Remember Jesus said if a man looks at a woman to lust after her. A healthy man cannot look at a beautiful naked woman without being affected. But that isn’t sin. It is when he decides that he wants to keep looking and lusting, when the spirit says turn away and he thinks in his mind, NO, I like it and I am going to do it, that is when the sin conceives in his heart.

The devil will tell you that “oh you got tempted by this or that and you sinned and are lost”. That is a lie! The temptations are there to prove us, to try us, so that we may receive a crown. We just read that when we are tempted it is a BLESSING to us. The temptations are a blessing to us. It is when we yield to the temptation that we are doing wrong. And pay close attention here. This is a very important point. The devil will only tell you that you are wrong when you are right. And he will only tell you that you are right when you are wrong.

Did you get that? The devil will only tell you that you are lost when you are saved. If you are saved he will never point out your fault to you, he’ll point it out to everyone else, but never to you because he knows once you see your fault that you will repent and be free from it being justified by Jesus Christ. Do you see it?

He will try to get you to compromise on the word. He will try to get you to believe his interpretation where he explains away scripture. He will play with your pride by praising you to try to get you to be proud and steal God’s glory. And he will use your pride by insulting and attacking you to try to get you to step out from the word and defend yourself. And the big one here, he will try and convince you that you sinned a sin beyond salvation, that you are serpent’s seed, that you have gone too far. He will only tell you that when it is a lie because he is a liar. And he will only tell you that when it is not true because-

SATAN IS ONLY AT WAR WITH THE SAINTS!

Did you get that? The devil is only at war with the saints. His battle is with the predestinated children of God. He will never say those things to the lost. He is trying to convince you of his lie by telling you that you are lost. But the Bible says that “all those who cry out in the name of the Lord shall be saved”. The Bible says that “he will never leave us or forsake us”. Is that Bible? Then what the devil says must be a lie.

He will also tell you that you are saved when you are not. He will tell you that what I have said up here today is bunk and not worth the effort to listen to. He is looking to destroy you. If he can’t destroy you completely he at least wants to make you a foolish virgin. He will tell you that you are fine when you are not. And he will tell you that you are lost and unsavable when you are already saved and justified by Jesus Christ.

That devil is cagey and sly but the Bible shows us his colours. Remember the spirit of God shows you your wrongs AND the way to repentance. The law, the schoolmaster is there to lead us the Christ. Is that what we read? The law shows us what transgressions are, and leads us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Amen? So when your mind and thoughts show you that you are wrong and going into judgment with no hope, then that is not God doing it. God shows you your wrongs and leads you to repentance and takes the guilt away.

God doesn’t tell you that you are hopelessly lost, he tells you that he has saved you and that he wants you to repent and come back to him. The one telling you that you are lost and beyond hope is the devil. And he is a liar. He always was a liar and always will be a liar. Don’t believe a word of it. There certainly will be a time when it will be too late to repent, but don’t think the devil will remind you of that. He wants to convince you to give up, to believe that you are too bad, too evil, too weak, too sinful to be saved. DON”T BELIEVE IT!

The law is our schoolmaster which shows us what transgressions are that we may come repenting to Christ and receive Jesus and be justified by Christ in faith. The law, the Bible, shows us that we are wrong so that we might have cause to repent and come to Christ. The Law shows us our faults so that we might make them right. The law shows us our weakness so that we may seek the strength of Jesus Christ. The law shows us our unrighteousness so that we may seek to be covered in the robes of His righteousness. The law shows us our sin so that we may wash it in the blood of the lamb. The law shows us judgment that we may find grace.

Fight the fight. Put on the whole armour of God. Give NO place to the devil. Make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof. Don’t allow your fleshly lusts to conceive sin. Get into Christ. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the Holy Spirit. It is for you. It is God’s promise to you. Get out from under the law and under the all sufficient umbrella of grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The door is still open, He is still on the mercy seat, the fountain is open deep and wide to wash away all your sin, all your iniquity and make you a new creation in Christ Jesus the Lord. Get everything under the blood Jesus Christ. Let the schoolmaster show you what is wrong that you might make it right. Examine the rule of the schoolmaster that you might be led to Christ and justified by faith in him.

There is no other salvation, nor any other name given where we can find salvation. Jesus Christ alone, in him dwells the fullness of the godhead bodily.

The Bible goes on to say that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst men. Jesus Christ is the word of God made flesh. The Bible is Jesus Christ, the word of God, in print. Paul says to change a word, even if you were an angel from heaven, you get you cursed. We must accept the whole word of God, the entire Bible, exactly as it is written with no interpretations or changes. Our doctrine must hold true from Genesis to Revelation. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. His word will never change.

Look into the perfect law of liberty today and let it lead you to the one salvation, the one true God and eternal life, the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is the healer of all of our diseases. He forgives all of your transgressions. Accept him as your Lord and savior. Repent and be baptized in his name and come out from under the bondage of the law today.

“Handfuls of Purpose”

I got a shorter message tonight and I think for the most part a familiar one to most. We are going to look at types, metaphors, allegories. We are going tonight, by the grace of God to look into the book of Ruth and see our Kinsman redeemer first hand. We are going to glean the word and find the “handfuls of purpose” he has left for us.

Ruth 2: 22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter-in-law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field. 23 So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother-in-law.

May God add His blessing to the reading of His word.

Ruth kept fast by the maidens of Boaz. A little background, a reminder I hope to most, Ruth types the Bride of Jesus Christ for today. She is the born again, Holy Spirit filled, called out elect gentile Church. Boaz, her kinsmen redeemer types Jesus Christ, the groom. Ruth, a Moabite woman, was brought back as the daughter in Law of Naomi, and Israelite, and went to work in Boaz’s fields. Boaz, according to the law redeemed Naomi and her inheritance and purchased Ruth to be his bride and redeemed her, as the Bible says in Chapter 4, verse 10 “to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place”.

He redeemed the dead so that they would not be cut off. Did not Jesus do the same for us? We, the gentiles, were the dead. We were all lost, separated from God and from his kingdom, separated from his heritage. We were cut off from or brethren and from our own gates.

Colossians 1:21 And you that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.

We gentiles were total aliens. The Lord God reconciled us back to him through the man Jesus Christ. He redeemed His bride who was lost and cut off from her rightful place beside him. And not only alienated and lost but verily we were already dead.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

Did you ever stop to think about that? Without Jesus Christ we are dead on our feet today. It is not enough that he paid the price, we have to accept that payment. He quickened, gave life to, us. He is the resurrection and the life. He is our Kinsmen Redeemer. We walked as do other gentiles. Ruth was a Moabite. She was not a Jew, she was a gentile. She had no natural inheritance in Israel. To them she was a dog and a heathen. She lived as a Moabite. And she was not alone. Naomi had two daughter’s in law. Do you remember that? They were Orpah and Ruth. Both women had the right to return with Naomi, both women could have been redeemed. Only Ruth cleaved to Naomi. Ruth is the type, the allegory or metaphor, of the Bride of Jesus Christ. Orpah is the type of the backslidden denominational churches today. Orpah is the Sunday church going “christian” who is too full of the world to surrender completely to the Lord Jesus Christ. She returned to Moab and to her false gods.

Moab looked good to Orpah. She had friends and family there. She had a church there. She felt comfortable in the fellowship there. The preaching was easy and appealed to her flesh. The pastor didn’t hammer on sin. He didn’t call the people out for their worldliness. He didn’t harp about women cutting their hair. He didn’t pound the pulpit telling the people that they needed to be born again. She had the good, comfortable life in Moab.

But there was something different in Ruth. She recognized that there was more. She thirsted for that spiritual extra and would not be turned away. Just like Elisha the Tishbite, she recognized something more and refused to let go. She was willing to endure the hardships. Do we recognize something more? Are we willing to endure the hardships or are we going to turn back. Lot’s wife turned back and she is still there at the dead sea. She turned into a pillar of sin. And now the Dead Sea is where all the Hollywood Jezebels go to party. It is a great big resort, full of the world’s debauchery and all the people who promote it.

So we were all dead and our Kinsmen Redeemer it says “raised up the name of the dead upon his inheritance”. Where is you name? In the book of life? In the Lamb’s Book of Life? Jesus Christ, our Kinsmen Redeemer broke the seals on the book of life and only He could break those seals, and if he had not broken those seals, we would all be dead forever. He raised up our dead names and made them to live.

And where did Ruth and Naomi go to in Israel? Bethlehem! Talk about a Xmas message I think I could have saved this one for December, even though Jesus Christ was born in April. They went to Bethlehem. Her Kinsmen Redeemer came to the same place as our Kinsmen Redeemer came, to the “house of God’s bread”, to the city of David. And what did her Kinsmen Redeemer say unto her?

Ruth 2: 8 Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens: 9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? And when thou are athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

My. We are sitting in heavenly places tonight for sure. God is truly present; at least he is here, I hope he is there where you are too. The Bible says that he is closer to us than our own breath. Reach out to him. This manna is from him. These are not my words, they are God’s Words. Do you recognize them? Do you feel His presence? Angels all around. And devils too so be on guard spiritually.

Go not to glean in another field! There is not another message! There is no other messenger! There is not another Bible! There is not another Word of God but this Bible is the only authority and do not go astray from it! Who are the reapers? Angels! Sent to reap the earth. Jesus told us. I hope everyone is getting this. Is this making sense?

Revelation 14: 14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the son of Man, having o his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying Thrust in thy sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the Angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the Wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Boaz said to the men, to the reapers, not to touch Ruth. The Bride was taken by the one on the cloud. We are caught up and meet Him in the clouds. Jesus Christ reaped the Bride personally. Do you see it. Jesus will personally take His Bride away in the rapture, and the world won’t even know it happened. The angels will cast their sickles and reap the earth but the Bride will not be touched for the Groom, the Kinsmen Redeemer, will already have reaped her home himself. She will be safe when the rest of the earth is reaped. Boaz told his young men, his reapers, do not touch that one, she is mine. Do not reap of her for that is for me to do alone.

And Boaz told Ruth that when you get thirsty, drink of the water from the vessels that the young men drew. Drink from the living water. Drink from the water provided by the angels, the Holy Spirit.

St. John 7: 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink, 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

Drink from the vessels, from those who have the Holy Spirit. Drink from the five fold ministry. Drink from the testimony of the Bride. Drink from the Message of the Hour. Are we drinking tonight from the Holy Spirit? Rivers of living water are flowing. Did you realize that? Rivers are flowing from the Holy Ghost filled vessels. And the bride is to drink whenever she thirsts from those vessels. That is why we have a ministry. That is why you have a pastor. That is why God does not rapture each person as they receive the Holy Spirit. They are sealed but still they must abide that rivers of living water can flow to the rest of the thirsty Bride. That is why we have the message, to feed and water the bride. That is why we were sent a prophet in our day with the ministry of Elijah to fulfill the prophecies of Malachi 4:5-6 and Revelation 10:7. The Bride is one and the Lord Jesus Christ, our Kinsmen Redeemer, will reap her as one unit. We all go up together, young and old, men, women and children, alive and dead.

Ruth 2:15 And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not 16 and let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.

Let her, the gentile stranger feed from the Holy Stock, from the Word of God, from heavenly manna. Let that gentile dog eat of the Lord’s bread. We are not fit for it but the grace of God grants it to us. And not only has the Lord God allowed us to feed from His Holy Scriptures, He has commanded that “handfuls of purpose” be left for us to gather.  God didn’t just allow us to look into His Word, He provided messengers to show us what to look into. He purposely sent handfuls of ripe grain to us, laid it right in front of us, and sent his angels to do it. Why do you think the seven church age messengers (Paul, Irenaeus, Columba, Martin, Luther, Wesley, Branham) are called angels? They were sent with “handfuls of purpose” for us! The message of our hour is not by accident. God, in His grace and wisdom, laid every grain of truth in the message in place for us to come along and find. Grain by grain in progressive revelation, each one at the right time in the right order. Every handful in its proper place for the Bride to glean at the proper time and in the proper order. No mistakes. No coincidence. No accidents. God, sovereign and supreme, all knowing, all powerful, all merciful. And he did not tell them to toss a few grains. He told them to provide handfuls of grain. Justification. Sanctification. Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Water Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Rapture. The seven seals. Daniel’s seventy weeks. Serpent’s seed. etc etc. Handfuls of seed for us to glean in our time.

And Ruth is told to keep fast by the maidens of Boaz. Most importantly, she is told not to glean in another field. Do not look anywhere else but this blessed revealed word of God for the hour. Do NOT go to any other field. Ruth is safe from the reapers in the field of Boaz, but if she wanders from that field they are free to reap her. And if she wanders, into another field, there are reapers there who do not answer to Boaz.

Wander from this blessed Word of God and you get reaped with the world!

Go into any other field and you will not find the handfuls of purpose. There aren’t any there. You will only find grains of weeds, briars and thorns. Go into any other field and you will be defiled! You will not be fit for your Kinsmen Redeemer. Stay with the maidens of the Master. Stay with the born again, Spirit filled Church of the Living God.

All the maidens belonged to Boaz but only Ruth was taken as a Bride. Only she was redeemed. Boaz did not tell his men to leave handfuls for the other maidens. Did you see that? Only for Ruth! This Message of the Hour is only for God’s Bride. The maidens will glean in the field but only Ruth will find the handfuls left by Boaz and his angels. The Church will all sit and listen to the message but only the Bride will get the spiritual revelation on that message. They will all get grains but She alone gets the handfuls of purpose. But she will only get them IF she stays with the other maidens and IF she stays in the masters field.

Ruth 3: 3 Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy rainment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor; but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. 4 and it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.

Wash yourself! Repent and be baptized by full immersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. Look at Acts 2:38-39. That is the only way to get clean. Anoint yourself! Get sanctified. Put on the rainment! Get filled with the Holy Spirit.  Get the wedding garment. Get filled with the Holy Spirit. Then go to the threshing floor. It is harvest time. What did John the Baptist say?

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance; but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in his hand and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

The threshing floor is ready. Get yourself ready for it. Uncover His feet. Go to your Kinsmen Redeemer. Worship him. Lay down at his feet. He is God alone. He bled and died for you. He purchased you with his own blood. He will purge the threshing floor. The squeeze is coming where he will fan away all the chaff from the wheat. He will gather His wheat in the garner. He will reap His bride. And the chaff will be reaped for the fire.

The wind is about to shift. Nations are breaking, Israel’s awakening, the signs that the prophet foretold, gentile days numbered with horrors encumbered, return oh lost flock to the fold. When Jesus redeems His bride back, then He goes to take care of Israel.

Ruth 3:17 And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me Go not empty unto thy mother-in-law. 18 then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.

This day. Today is the day for there may not be a tomorrow. The very day God redeems His bride is the very day He returns to Israel. Sit still till it be done for He will not rest. Jesus will not rest until every single last sheep is in the fold. He will not rest until his Bride has been redeemed from the earth. And when he is done he will have handfuls of purpose for Israel. God has prepared handfuls of purpose. And how?

Ruth 3: 15 And he said, Bring the veil that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.

Do you see it? Bring the veil. The veil of unbelief that sits over the eyes of Israel. Bring the veil. Remove the veil! And she went INTO THE CITY! I feel like dancing. Do you see it? God will remove the veil from the eyes of Israel and feed them six measures of seed all in one day. And the Bride went into the city. God will rapture the Bride away and remove the veil from the eyes of Israel and feed them measure upon measure of His word. And notice it is not his young men doing it anymore, it is God himself providing the grain.

Ruth 4: 6 And the kinsmen said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it. 7 Now this was the manner in the former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbor: and his was a testimony in Israel. 8 Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.

Now let’s turn to Revelation to Chapter 5 verse 7.

Revelation 5: 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

God could not redeem us. He is spirit and to redeem us our Kinsman Redeemer had to die. God being spirit cannot die. He had no way to make it happen in the office of the Father. So he came in the office of the Son. Jesus, the lamb of God, came and took the book from the right hand of God, and redeemed us back to himself. Boaz typed Christ and the nearer Kinsmen types God. As God the Father and Spirit could not redeem us so to could this man not redeem Ruth. So as Boaz took the shoe from the man, so too did Jesus take the book of redemptions signifying that He was taking the full right of redemption upon Himself redeeming us with His own blood. That was the purchase price.

Ruth 4: 9 And Boaz said   elders, and unto all people, Ye are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilllion’s and Hahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.

Revelation 5: 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the four and twenty elders tell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints.

Boaz redeemed all that was for Ruth. Jesus redeemed all that was for the Saints. They both had the elders as witnesses. Notice here that Boaz redeemed that which was for Ruth’s husband but also that which was for Orpah’s husband. Orpah backslid back into idolatry, into denominationalism, dogmas and creeds, back into multiple gods, trinity. She never again was mentioned. When she backslid and rejected to move forward in the Message of her Hour, she died spiritually. When the denominations refused to move forward with the message and turned back to trinity they died spiritually and are never again mentioned in the book of redemption. They had a place. They had an inheritance with the Bride. But they sold out to denomonationalism and lost their inheritance.

Luther was sent with a message and they all came out. Then Wesley was sent with the next message to build upon Luther’s message and some came out. Those who did not, those who were content to go back to their gods, lost their inheritance. Then when the Lord God restored the gifts in 1906 at the Pentecostal Revival, those who refused the gifts lost their inheritance. It was for them. It was given for them and they had every right to take it. Orpah had every right to go back with Ruth and Naomi and claim her inheritance. Esau, the carnal church of his day sold out to carnality. So to did the denomonations in our day. When God sent the Prophet some came but the rest refused to go all the way and turned back to denomonationalism, and died. They lost their inheritance and have no more position. They are chaff to be bundled and burned.

Ruth received all that was for her and all that was for Orpah. The Bride receives all that is for her, plus all that would have been for the carnal, worldly church that backslid and rejected the word of God, the message of the hour. Remember the parable of the rich man and the talents. He said take the one talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. He which has shall be given and to he which hath not even that which he seems to have will be taken away.

The Bride gets it all!

Revelation 5: 9 And they sung a new song saying, Thou are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people and nation; 10 and hast made us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth.

The Bride doesn’t just live here forever, she reigns forever. She is His Bride! Jesus Christ is the King and She is the Queen. If He is the King of Kings then she is the queen of queens. If He is the king of heaven then she is the queen of heaven. Redeemed from all the earth. She gets it all, heaven and earth. She will sit in His throne with Him. And what did they say of Boaz and Ruth?

Ruth 5:11 And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Behtlehem. 12 And thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.

Like Rachael and Leah who built Israel. Israel, the prince of God and Rachael and Leah his princesses. All of Israel came from them. The nation of promise came through them, of their flesh and blood. The nation of heaven comes from the Bride of Jesus Christ made of her. The royal seed of Christ in His Bride brings forth the fruit of the seed.

And in

Revelation 5: 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands and thousands; 12 saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour and glory, and power, but unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the beasts said AMEN! And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

This is not just a type but the type. In detail, God led Ruth and Naomi and Boaz to a life that perfectly typed Christ and the Church. Boaz, as a Kinsmen Redeemer to Ruth, typifies Jesus Christ as the Kinsmen Redeemer to the gentile Bride.

We have gleaned a few handfuls of purpose here. Let’s not lose them. We are to glean only in HIS field, nowhere else is acceptable for only in His field has He lain those handfuls of seed for us, and only in His field are we safe. Leave that field, wander from the Word of God, from the message of the hour, and we run the risk of being defiled.

We are also told to stay with the maidens of Boaz. Stay with the Church. Glean the seed from the word by the message and find those handfuls that He, our Kinsmen Redeemer, has placed there for us. Get ready, Wash yourselves! Anoint yourselves! Put on the wedding garment! Get down to the threshing floor for the time has come for Jesus to separate the wheat from the chaff. Are we wheat? Are we Bride? Are we going to be like Ruth and keep pressing forth looking for our Kinsmen Redeemer or be like Orpah who was content to go back to the gods of the gentiles? If we love the world or the things of the world, then the love of the Father is not even in us.

Have you been gleaning with the maidens in the field? Have you found the handfuls of purpose or do we just have an intellectual understanding and knowledge of quotes? Do we have revelation, or creeds and dogmas? Do we have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, or a membership in an organization? The handfuls of purpose are there waiting for you. They have been placed by God’s angels. Revelation is waiting for you Ruth! Get to you master! Go to your Kinsmen Redeemer. The harvest is ripe, Jesus is coming on that cloud with a sharp sickle, the Word of God, to reap His Bride away. You don’t want to be left for the other reapers. They reap the weeds and the thistles and cast them into the fire. We want to be Bride, not chaff, not thistles. We want to be Ruth, not Orpah.

Luke 24: 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 and their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Luke 18:43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

May God add His blessing to the reading of His Word. What we would like to speak on here for a few moments is to tie these two scriptures perfectly together. This is a powerful scripture. I would like to take for a text, “when their eyes were opened”. When their eyes were opened they knew him and in Luke 18, when his eyes were opened he followed. When their eyes were opened. Before their eyes were opened they did not know Jesus or follow Him even though He was right there with them. They should have known him for they spent the last three years with him day and night. If you notice, not only were they not following him, but he was following them. We never went looking for the Lord God, he came looking for us. You did not find God, He came looking for you and when He opened your eyes, then you saw him, and then you started following Him. Are our eyes opened this morning? Jesus did it!

Israel was called to be the people of God. They were, and still are, a holy nation, a chosen people, and a blessed people. God was with them and them alone. They had prophets, they had history with God, they had signs and wonders, they had the scriptures, they had the Law of God, they had God’s promise to Abraham, they had the message of the hour brought by the Elijah of their day, John the Baptist. They had everything you could ask for except that they did not have open eyes.

How could this be? This is not my words this is Bible.

Matthew 13: 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, by hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see and not perceive.

Did you get that? They both saw and heard everything, and yet they saw and heard nothing. Is that not exactly the same today? I met a fellow in Victoria who had just come from church one Sunday. He said it was great at church that morning so I asked him what the preacher spoke on and he could not remember. Does that sound fantastic? Not more than a half hour after the service and he could not remember a singe aspect of what was spoken. It is Bible too. It is the parable of the sower; some seed fell beside the road and the birds got it immediately. His heart was not prepared that day to receive the word, so his eyes were closed, and no sooner did he hear the word but the devil came and took it from him. He heard it all and still heard nothing. And it is very, very common today.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever. Amen? So is the devil. God don’t change and neither does the devil. The prophet told us if we want to know what Jesus is today all we have to do is find out what he was in the Bible times of yesterday and we will know exactly what Jesus is today. He was our healer yesterday and so he is our healer today. He was the life-giver yesterday and he is our life-giver today. He was the deliverer yesterday and he is still the same deliverer today. He is our prophet, priest and King. He is the resurrection and the life, the same yesterday, today and forever.

And if we want to know what the devil is today all we have to do is find out what he was in the Bible times of yesterday. And if we want to know what people are like today, and what the church is like today, all we have to do is find out what they were like in the Bible times of yesterday. Is that Bible?

Look what it says about the people.

Matthew 23: 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous, 30 and say, if we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Jesus is telling us right here that the people of His day were exactly like the people of previous days and that their own testimony condemned them as such. They were a generation of vipers. Cain’s seed, the serpent’s seed is still the serpent’s seed. They are today just as their daddy was 6,000 years ago in Eden! They haven’t changed. There is no evolution, only devilution! Read or listen to William Branham’s sermon “Satan’s Eden”. That is your homework for this week. You will see that it clearly. Look at the warning to our time. How did Jesus say this time would be? What did He tell us to watch for?

As it was in the days of Noah and as it was in the days of Lot, so shall it be at the end. As it was 3,000 years ago and as it was 4,000 years ago so shall it be today. So if we find out what things were like in the days of Noah and how was it in the days of Lot, then we should be able to identify the end times. We should know these things.

Matthew 24: 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark 39 and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

They were eating and drinking and building and marrying wives, multiple remarriages, oblivious to the situation, even though they had a prophet of God preaching from the roof tops for 120 years that the end was coming. Sound familiar? Every person on earth heard the message of Noah. There was not a soul that did not know about this crazy old man with his land-locked boat collecting hundreds of baby animals in pairs and stowing them away on this monstrosity of a barge during what was probably one of the worst heat waves in memory.

The Message of the Hour was everywhere. They all knew it, and they all discarded it because their science, and their philosophy,  their logic and their reasoning told them that it was impossible for it to rain, and certainly impossible for the whole earth to be flooded.

Their religion, the religion of Cain, told them that God was a good God and surely they wouldn’t die. After all Cain was allowed to continue on. The very same lie he told Eve and it was still at work in Noah’s day, and it is still at work today. It is still being preached today. Live any way you want, believe whatever you want, as long as you worship God because God is a good God and would never judge one of His worshippers. The serpent, Cain, and the people of Noah’s day all had the same relationship with God, which was no relationship at all, and thus the same religion. They heard and they saw everything, and they heard and saw absolutely nothing! And every one of them is dead, eternally separated from God.

On the very first Easter, Jesus went down into hell and preached to the lost, the souls who rejected Noah. He went there to vindicate Noah, and to condemn them. His very presence did that.

The almighty Lord God hasn’t changed, the devil hasn’t changed, and humanity has not changed. People are the same, only worse. The same quality with just more quantity. In Jesus’ day He pronounced upon the church the prophesy of Isaiah and today the very same prophesy is pronounced upon the people by that same Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3: 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; these things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

That is the Church today. That is not the world, that is the Church! Jesus was speaking to the Church in His day, and here He speaks about the Church of our day, for he titles it “unto the angel of the CHURCH of Laodicea”. We are at the end of the end. This is the seventh and last Church Age and we are at the end of it. Elijah has come and gone long ago. Israel has been in the holy land for nearly 70 years now. The message of the hour is all over the planet, even in countries like Iran and North Korea. There are websites everywhere about the message, tracts and books are printed by the tens of thousands in virtually every single language and there have been preachers and missionaries to no end all over the planet. We have had the most published message of all time. You can even see videos of the prophet on You-tube and Facebook! Just as in Jesus’ day, the Church is blind! It sees and sees not, it hears and hears not. This generation has seen and heard everything and yet has seen and heard absolutely nothing.

How can people be so blind? What happened to them to blind them? Spiritual things are not difficult things, they are not complex things, they are simple things yet people have become blind to them. Why?

2 Corinthians 4: 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The gospel is hid to those that the god of this world, the devil, has blinded. The serpent’s seed will never ever see it. The simplest spiritual things are hidden from them forever. And not just the meaty things but even the milk. Even things which are written in black and white become invisible. Things like the godhead, footwashing with the Lord’s supper, Christmas trees and even water baptism. Look how clearly the Bible lays out water baptism for us.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Could it be written any plainer that that? There is nothing left to ponder, nothing to argue, nothing left to chance. Proper water baptism is expressed here in minute detail and yet they cannot see it. There is not one record of anyone in the Bible after John the Baptist, not in church records, nor in secular history, being baptized in any other way than immersion in the name of Jesus Christ prior to the Nicene Council of 325 AD.

Baptism in titles is catholic in origin and is absolutely contrary to the Word of God. Proper water baptism is so essential that Paul commanded all those baptized in any other way, including the baptism of John the Baptist, to be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Apollos and the Italian band, believers, baptized by John the Baptist, had to be rebaptized in order to receive the Holy Ghost. It is the same for each and every one of us today. Apollos had open eyes. HIs eyes were opened. He believed the word when he heard it and obeyed it, even if he did not completely understand it. He was not too proud. It is clearly written in black and white and yet people will not believe it, because they cannot see it. They cannot believe it. It is Bible and they cannot believe it because the god of this world, the devil, has blinded their eyes to it. And it is by our choice that he blinds us. We’ll see that in a bit.

And if they cannot see something as simple, as straight-forward, and as obvious as water baptism, how will they ever see more complex matters? If we cannot come to understanding of justification, where will we be on sanctification and the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

And the people in Jesus day whose eyes were closed were not a bunch of drunks in a bar, they were the religious church goers. The drunks and prostitutes came to him, repented and received him. The rejecters were educated in the Word and the Law. They were theologians, pastors, preachers, evangelists etc. The scriptures were read to them, and even by them, every single Sabbath. They knew the Law and the Prophets forwards and backwards. It is the same today. It is the religious that are blind. We read of the Laodicean Church, not Laodician world, the Church. That is us, that is the church going christians! Blind and don’t even know it! What a miserable state to be in. Poor, wretched, miserable, and blind and don’t even know it.

How can people ever get help if they don’t even know they got a problem? The religious world of today is blind. The Bible says that Jesus is outside of the church, knocking at the door trying to get back in. Jesus’ generation murdered him, and this religious generation is crucifying Him afresh.

Hebrews 6: 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

If we hear it, and we see it, and we taste it, and it is shown to us in the Bible, and we willfully reject it, then we crucify Christ afresh and step out from the mercy of God. If we see and see not, and if we hear and hear not, if we see and hear it and reject it, rejecting the Revealed Word of God for the Hour, we become willfully blind and become guilty of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The Bible doesn’t say we have to understand every word, it says we have to believe every word.

In the old testament they had a party every 50 years that they called the jubilee. At jubilee they would blow the trumpet and any slave who heard it would be set free forever. But if that slave liked his master he could request to be taken to the gates of the city and his master would pierce his ear with an awl, and that slave would become a slave forever no matter how many more times he heard the trumpet. Pierced ears? Now you know where it comes from; it is a sign of eternal slavery. Here is the type, everything in the old testament is a type or shadow of the new. Every scripture speaks about Jesus Christ.

Jesus was crucified and rose, and 50 days later at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fell in the pillar of fire, divided itself up and rested upon the 120 and each was filled with the Holy Ghost. Jubilee was a type or shadow of Pentecost.

2 Thessalonians 2: 10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 and for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

Each and every soul was conceived in iniquity, born in sin, coming into the world speaking lies. We were all sold under slavery to sin, but Jesus Christ purchased us back with His own holy blood. But when we hear the trumpet, which is the message of the hour, and we reject that trumpet, then our earthly master, the devil, pierces our ears and we will never hear the word again. We become blind to it and no matter how many more times we hear the truth preached to us, we will never receive it. It is our choice, when our jubilee comes, when our Pentecost comes, we are given a choice to receive our freedom or reject it and become eternal slaves. That is sinning willfully, and that is our choice to make. That is our Kadesh Barnea.

The devil blinds the minds of people to spiritual things. When we hear the word and it does not fit our desires or our ideas and we reject it, the devil blinds us and deafens us with philosophy, with logic, dogma, and with religiousness. A religious spirit is the worst spirit to have. Look at Jesus’ day again. The Pharisees and the Scribes and the Sadducees all called Jesus the devil. He did mighty miracles in their midst even to the raising of the dead right in front of their eyes and they called Him the devil. They were schooled in the scriptures, in the letter of the law. They could quote to you every prophesy in the Bible concerning Jesus and here He was in their midst day and night fulfilling every single prophesy right before their eyes, exactly as it was written, and they could not see it!

Yet a little prostitute out in Samaria, one day by a well as she went to get some water, upon seeing one little miracle, said “sir I perceive you are a prophet”. One little miracle is all it took. Her eyes were opened! She saw with her eyes, heard with her ears and believed in her heart and she was changed. She accepted what she saw and heard. The religious types saw many times more miracles, rejected all of it, and didn’t see a single thing.

What are we saying about the word today? How are we receiving it? Do we see it? Are our eyes opened?

Isaiah 60: 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Darkness upon the earth and gross darkness the people. Is that not today? The world is oblivious to the truth that is all around them. The people, the religious people, are completely oblivious to the truth around them. They are too busy in politics and business trying to get rich, popular and powerful. They are so busy building bigger churches and filling seats to get more and more money that they don’t have any time or concern for spiritual things. They spend so much time raising money and building their popularity and developing television and internet programs that they have no time left for the Lord God.

But in this scripture of condemnation of the world lies a beautiful, wonderful promise too. “The Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee”. Our eyes, our spiritual eyes, just have to be open to see it. God’s glory is shining right now. The pillar of fire is in the room with you, he promised to be where two or three are gathered in his name so he is in this room, and in your room right now, shining brighter that the sun.

When Elijah told Elisha “if you see me when I go you shall have what you ask”, do you think Elisha closed his eyes? His eyes were wide open. He was looking for the glory of God and he saw it. I bet he even blinked one eye at a time.

God promised in our day, the evening time, that there would be light, and in the last scripture that there would also be a gross darkness. And the darkness is not just in the world, it is in the churches and in message ranks too. With each day the darkness grows darker but the light also grows brighter. We are quickly approaching the day when the message would be preached to the lost.

We are told that in the very end the world would begin to receive the word but it would be too late. Once grace has been removed from the gentiles there will be no more reason for the devil to blind anyone to the doctrine of the message for there will be no grace to receive. And they will receive the doctrine free of grace  and not know it because they will be completely blind in total spiritual darkness. People will go on hearing the message and think they are getting saved and the whole time they are eternally lost and they won’t even know it because they will be completely spiritually blind. They will not receive the Word, just the letter of the message. And they won’t receive it because their eyes are opened, but because they were never opened. Sound strange?

Today people are receiving Luther’s message by the millions, Wesley’s message by the millions, but they reject today’s message. Luther was indeed a man of God sent with a message. Luther was more than a preacher, he was the messenger to his age, yet Luther’s message will not save you today. Wesley was the messenger to his age, yet Wesley’s message will not save you today either. In Moses day they accepted Noah’s message and died in the wilderness. In Jesus’ day they accepted Moses’ message and died in their sins. People are indeed receiving a message today. They are receiving yesterday’s message! They are eating yesterday’s manna and yesterday’s manna is rotten with worms.

And one day soon they will start accepting the Message of the Hour that was brought by the vindicated Word Prophet, the Elijah ministry of Malachi 4:5-6 and Revelation 10:7 manifested in the ministry of Brother William Branham. On that day, when you see that happen, you will know that it is too late and there is no more mercy on this earth for gentiles. The Seventh Church Age will be closed.

In order for the Message of This Hour to reach public acceptance, it has to have become the Message of Yesterday!

How will the foolish virgins know that they missed the rapture? They will see things happening that they will know come after the rapture. And how will they feel? How would we feel if we see things happen that we know are supposed to come after the rapture? If our eyes are open today we will not be caught off guard.

1 Thessalonians 5: 3 for when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye. Brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

Don’t fall asleep! We are children of the day! We are all children of the day. We are not in darkness that the day should overtake us as a thief. The light is shining to them as well as to us. The light is shining to every person reading here. The light is shining to every person in your church, in your town. The light is shining to every person on this planet. The only difference between the Saved and the Lost is that the Saved have their eyes opened.

Each and every one of us was walking in total darkness at one point in our lives. Nobody is born saved, we are born-again saved! The physical birth creates a heathen, the spiritual birth creates a child of God.

Colossians 3: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

We walked and lived according to the world and the lusts of the flesh and of the world until the Lord God came and opened our eyes to the truth. If our eyes are not opened we will continue to walk in complete darkness. If our eyes are not opened then according to what we read in Revelation, we will not even know it. Indeed we may be very religious, even preaching the gospel, but in total, complete darkness.

So not only do we have to ask ourselves whether or not our eyes are opened, we have to ask ourselves if we are even able to discern whether our eyes are opened. Quite the thought. How can we know if our eyes are opened? Thankfully the Bible does give an answer.

John 10: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them; and they follow me.

Do we hear his voice? Only his sheep can hear his voice. He knows them. Does Jesus know you, do you know him? Not just to know about him, but have you met him? Have you had an experience with him? Is he just a story book character? Do you just believe he exists, or do you know he exists? When their eyes were opened they KNEW him.

When our eyes are opened, we follow him. Not a religion, not a dogma, not a church, not a philosophy, not a doctrine, not a denomination, not a group, not a pastor, but we will follow Jesus Christ, the Word of God. Do you love him? Do you talk with him? Not just your daily duty prayer. But throughout the day, to you talk with him? Does he talk with you? Do you think on his word? Are you singing songs in your heart? Are you living the Word of God? Do we know Jesus Christ? Are we living for him?

1 John 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

We know Him IF we keep His commandments. If we Keep (Greek: Tereo, to keep, to guard as in prison) his commandments. If we keep his words, his commandments, imprisoned in our hearts, guarded, then we know that we know him. Do you see it? It isn’t going to church, believing the message, following rules, it is to keep the word of God imprisoned in your heart. Never let it go. It is a precious treasure that you guard. And in order to keep it in our hearts it first has to get into our hearts, and if our hearts are blinded, that will never happen. We will just get the letter in our heads. And the letter killeth but the spirit bringeth life.

Jesus said “my words are spirit and life”. When we keep his words in our hearts, we have his life in our hearts. His life is eternal life. So in order for His eternal life to enter us, His words must enter our hearts and stay there. The letter cannot enter your heart. Only the Word, Logos, can enter your heart. The letter becomes the Word when the Holy Spirit of God quickens it and makes it come to life through revelation. When we hear the word it is just a letter, but when the Holy Spirit reveals that letter to our hearts, opens our eyes to see it, it then becomes a Living Word, Spirit and life eternal. When we hear the Word it is a letter to us, but when we accept that letter, when we believe that letter, then the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to it.

If our eyes are not opened we will never receive revelation on the Word and it will remain a dead letter to us no matter how much time we spend in church, how many tapes we listen to, how many tracts we read, how much we sing and shout and praise God, without Jesus opening our eyes we will never see it for what it really is.

John 14: 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

God said “let my word be truth and all men be liars”. The spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit that reveals the truth, the Word of God, to us. The world cannot receive it because it does not see him. The eyes of the world are close, blinded by the devil, blinded by sin and unbelief, blinded by lust, blinded by greed, blinded by fear, blinded by hatred, blinded by self righteousness and pride. They cannot see because their eyes are closed, and they will never have their eyes opened because they do not want to have their eyes opened. They are happy being blind.

The Word is contrary to our flesh and it cuts us deep. If we live after the flesh we shall die but if we crucify our flesh with the lusts thereof, then we shall live. We are given a choice, to accept the Word or to reject the Word. It is not a matter of whether or not we understand it, but whether or not we believe it. If we believe it, then God will give us the understanding.

Jesus said if you do not drink my blood and eat my flesh you cannot be my disciple. Did the 12 understand what he said? No. Did the 12 believe what he said? Yes! They did not have a clue what Jesus was talking about but they believed it, and because they believed it, he opened their eyes to understand it. They kept his word and the Holy Spirit quickened that Word to them and made it alive. To the world it was one of the worst things he could have said, but to the children of God, it is still one of the most wonderful words he ever spoke. It is the Lord’s supper where we eat broken bread and drink wine to remember his bleeding and suffering, and dieing for our sins. And if our eyes are not opened, we won’t understand that today either.

The apostles asked Jesus why he spoke in parables. Why was everything given in story form? Why is the gospel hidden in metaphors and similes? Would it not be better for him to come straight with it so everyone would understand plainly?

Mark 4: 10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 and he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Can you see it? The ones that are without have no desire for the truth and so God will not open their eyes to see it. The truth, the mystery, is only for his Bride. All things are created so that God can reveal his attributes to his children. It is all about the Lord revealing himself, but he will not reveal himself to the devil. The serpent’s seed has no desire for truth, they are happy with religion. Cain was satisfied with an alter of fruits and vegetables, a man made religion, but Abel wanted more. Abel desired to know why, and God opened his eyes and revealed to him the reason for them being out of Eden, and thus Abel brought a more perfect sacrifice.

The religious world does not care about the truth for the truth is of no value to them. And because they don’t care about the truth, God will never reveal it to them. He only reveals the Word to his children. You can learn doctrine. Someone will come along and convince you into something, then someone smarter will come along the next day and convince you right out of it. That is where these dogmas come from, a lack of revelation. They do not have open eyes to the truth so they have to take guesses at what the Word really says, and the guesses will always lean towards their particular lusts. The devil is tugging away at them, giving his brand of “revelation”, intellectual reasoning, philosophy, psychology and logic so called.

Jesus said of them that “they are blind leaders of the blind and if the blind lead the blind they shall both fall in the ditch”. If you are blind you do not know where you are going. You need someone else to lead the way. But if the person who is leading you is as blind as you are, you will both wander in darkness with no hope. When our eyes are opened we will see, and when our eyes are opened, we shall follow Jesus. When our eyes are opened, and only when our eyes are opened, then we are led by Jesus, else we are led by men.

Ephesians 5: 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of Light:

Darkness and blindness are all we will have without Jesus Christ. Without the Holy Spirit, without revelation, without Jesus Christ we are in complete darkness, led by cunning men with vain words and craftiness, as it says in the 14th verse, lying in wait to deceive. They are stalking you, lying in wait, just like their daddy the serpent. They want to win you over to their side, to their church, to their camp. They are completely blind and want to lead you by the hand into the pit of hell with them! The Bible says to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but to reprove them.

Ephesians 5: 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Jesus is the light. He will make manifest the truth. He will open our eyes to show us the truth. He will reveal it to us by his Holy Spirit. He will set all things in order. He will give us understanding. His Spirit will discern for us. But we first have to want it.

The two on the road to Emmaus wanted it. All they could talk about was Jesus. When He met them on the road they were ranting about Him. Then he spoke to them and their hearts burned within. They had a desire and he met that desire by opening there eyes. And once their eyes were opened, they could see him, and they knew him.

Do we see Him? Do we know Him? Do we see the godhead? Do we know who Jesus Christ is? Have we met him or are our eyes still closed? Is Jesus Christ leading you by His Holy Spirit this morning or are you still being led by men? Jesus broke the bread and opened their eyes. He is breaking the bread of life this morning. Are you hungry for it? Then he will open your eyes too.

The blind man was crying out “thou son of David have mercy on me”. He wasn’t mumbling or whispering. He shouted so loud that not only did they hear him over the noise of the crowd, but the whole crowd fell silent and stopped to look at him. Cry out today. Cry out so loud that the whole church stops to look at you. Cry so loud that the whole world stops. Do you want your eyes opened, cry out. Shout! If that blind man cried out as loud as we do hear in the church he would be still blind to his death. He was convinced and concerned. He was convinced that Jesus could heal him, and concerned to get his attention.

Are we convinced? Are we convinced that Jesus can open our eyes? Are we concerned to get his attention? Cry out! All those who whisper? CRY OUT! In the name of Jesus shall be saved. Call on the Lord. He is closer to you than your own breath. He will never fail and never be late. He promised to meet every need. But if our eyes are not open, then we will not have revelation on that promise, and without revelation, we cannot believe. Cry out for open eyes! Cry out for revelation! Cry out for Jesus.
