The God of the Living

The God of the Living

Discerning the Lord’s Body.

The God of the Living

Luke 20: 38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not the god of the dead, they have their own god. Jesus is the God of the Living. As such he has no part with the dead, and the dead have no part in him. He is the God of the Living and only the Living for death is separation from God.

Ephesians 2: 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

You were dead. You walked, you talked, you ate. You sang, you worshiped, you prayed, and you were D•E•A•D, Dead. You were completely, totally and utterly separated from God, with no hope in this world. There was literally nothing that you could do, no place you could go, nobody you could ask to save you. Your soul was full of sin, your body full of sickness and death had been pronounced on you.

The whole world is currently in that state today. THEY’RE ALL DEAD!

They are fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind. Logical, philosophical, smart, intelligent, well read, educated, and dead. Incredibly wise and yet completely foolish. DEAD!

1 Corinthians 1: 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

That to which the world seeks after for life, is what brings death. The thing they scoff at and ridicule, is the very life they are seeking. They think they will find salvation through wisdom, through knowledge, through education, through science, but those things are literally killing them.
And it began right in the beginning.

Genesis 2: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The day we eat of that tree we shall surely die. In fact we were born dead in this world. Every human being born of a woman is still born. We are born dead, separated from God. We are conceived in iniquity, formed in sin, coming into the world speaking lies. We are full of life and completely dead. And the worst part is that we are seeking life in death.

51-0728 – Three Witnesses – William Branham

In the garden of Eden there were two trees, one of them was the knowledge. And the other one the Tree of Life. And when man left the Tree of Life and took the first bite off the tree of knowledge, he separated himself from God.

And now he bit off gunpowder, destroys himself. He bit off an electricity, pulling the coal from the earth, where un—beneath it, is eight thousand miles of burning volcano, and these… Now, he’s bit hisself off automobile, kills more people than all the wars.

He’s got hisself a hydrogen bomb now; I wonder what he’s going to do with that. He’s still biting from that tree of knowledge. And every time he bites, he just separates himself away, destroys himself.

And God is not known by knowledge, God’s known by faith; by faith, you believe. Not try to figure it out, you just believe. And that’s the way God is known. God bless you.

There are nearly eight billion dead bodies walking around on the face of the earth today. And they don’t know it! Every day they get smarter, and deader.

They are religious, pious, some of them are so kind, so sweet. They will invite you in, they build schools and hospitals, they donate to missions. They even pass out Bibles and fund orphanages and leper colonies. They feed the homeless in the streets. To the natural eye they are holy.

But the natural eye is Dead and Blind!

Lord, Lord we have done so many wonderful works in your name! And he will say, “Depart from me, I never knew you, you workers of iniquity”.

2 Corinthians 4: 1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The gospel is hidden to them. Why? Because Jesus Christ is the God of the Living, and the world has a completely different god. How can the god of the world ever give Revelation to anyone when he has absolutely no revelation to give.

Even though satan has more knowledge than all humanity combined, he has NO Revelation. If he had any Revelation, then he would have known that the only way the Lord Jesus Christ could complete the work of salvation and redemption, and claim his position as the Kinsman Redeemer, King of Heaven with his Bride, was to die. If the devil had any Revelation whatsoever, he would have posted ten legions of demons around Christ to protect him. In killing Jesus the devil fulfilled the work of salvation, and he didn’t even know it. When he killed Jesus, he thought he had won.

54-1204 – God Perfecting His Church – William Branham

The Roman said, “That’s the Son of God.” The earth belched out it’s rocks, said, “It’s the Son of God.” And now, He is here to the lost souls and He knocks on the door. [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit several times—Ed.] I can hear Him when His Majesty—when He knocks on the door and they looked up at Him. He said, “I am the Son of God. I’ve just died at Calvary for sinners. Why didn’t you believe Enoch and the rest of the prophets before the day of the destruction?” He had to witness to the lost that He was the Son of God. And them screaming for mercy, He had to shut the door. ’Cause they had spurned mercy and they had to receive judgment.

And He goes on down a past the demons. I can see Him go down to hell where the devil was. [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit—Ed.] Knocked at the door. The devil said, “Who is there?” Said, “Open up.” And I can see the devil open up the door. “Oh,” he said, “You finally arrived, did You? Uh-huh.” Said, “I finally got my hands on You.” He said, “I thought I had You when I killed Abel. I thought I had You when I took the life of the prophets. I was sure I had You when I beheaded John. But now, I’ve got You.”

66 I can hear him as he rattles that scary key there of hell and death on his side, the keys that he kept people shut up in. For all those years, he rattled it. Jesus said, “I am the Son of God. I am the virgin born Son of the Living God. You can’t bluff people any longer. My Blood’s still wet at the cross. I paid the full price of every one of them sinners. And now, they’re free.

Give Me that key of death and hell.” Remember when He raised up, He had it. Yes, sir. “Give Me that key. You’ll not scare them any more. My people will not be scared, that believes on Me, any more.” And I can see Him smite the devil in the face, and pull the keys off, and hang it on His side, and start to glory—start for the heavens.

The Prophet saw it. This was not his idea, he SAW it. Every word is the absolute truth for the Lord God showed it to him. The devil foolishly, without a shred of Revelation on the Word of God, thought that he had defeated Jesus.

The devil is an unbeliever!

He is the god of the unbelievers!

SATAN IS THE GOD OF THE UNBELIEVERS!

They have his spirit inside, the Antichrist spirit. Anyone who disbelieves this Revealed Word of God for the Hour is possessed with the Spirit of Antichrist and serves Satan as their god. That is a hard word, but it is God’s Word.

1 John 4: 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

How does a spirit confess that Jesus is come in the flesh? By putting up a X-mas tree? By going to church? By putting your name on a book? By telling people that you are a Christian? By saying that Jesus was an actual person? The devil does all that.

We confess Christ by living the Word of God! He is the God of the Living, not of the dead.

Titus 1: 15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

They “profess that they know God”. So it is not your profession, for even the pope professes to know God, and he is literally the Antichrist.

But in WORKS they deny him!

Your life tells the whole world whether or not you believe. If we cannot say AMEN to every word written in the Bible with our lives, if every fiber of our being does not confess Jesus Christ, if we are not Logos manifested in the flesh, then we are denying the Lord Jesus Christ.

They speak of the world. They speak worldly things. They speak worldly wisdom. And the world hears them. But the world does not hear the Message of the Hour for they cannot hear it.

The whole world is defiled and reprobate. They are all dead.

The Message was only sent to the Bride of Christ! To the Living!

John 8: 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

The world cannot hear the Word of God because there is no seed in them. The deep calls to the deep. In order for the Word to take root in a heart, there has to be something in that heart for it to take root in.

When we the Bride first heard the Word of God brought by the Spirit of God, something inside of us testified that it was the truth.

I remember the first time I heard the message. It was a tape “Life is the Healer” from 1956. I had no idea who the prophet was, or that there was even a prophet. All I knew is that when I listened to the tape, I couldn’t sit still and I wanted to run through the city shouting. I knew that for the first time in my life I was hearing the truth. I could not get enough of it. I played it over and over and over, not even knowing there were more tapes. Now you can image how excited I was when I found out that there were almost 1200 sermons available on tape.

Yet when I brought that same tape, that wonderful, magical treasure to my family to listen too, they mocked it and insulted it. There was nothing in them to receive it. I brought them LIFE and life eternal, and they wanted no part of it.

Jesus Christ is the God of the living!

So if we were dead, and we surely were. How did we come to life? Through the New Birth. Verily except you be born again, you shall never see the Kingdom of God.

See: from the Greek Eido: to recognize, to realize, to understand.

He is not talking about going to heaven. That is not even on the table at this point. Without the new birth we won’t even know what the Kingdom of God is. We will not understand any Scriptures, not understand a single word in the Bible and the Message of the Hour will be mindless ramblings by a poorly educated hillbilly.

Without the New Birth we are not alive. Without the New Birth, Jesus Christ is not our God. Without the New Birth, we simply are NOT Christians.

Romans 8: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

In order to belong to him, we must have his spirit, the Holy Spirit. Everyone who does not have the Holy Spirit, who does not have the New Birth, does not belong to him. Without the Holy Spirit, we have no claim on the Lord God, nor on his Word. Without the Holy Spirit was are NOT in the Message.

It does not matter how much we go to church. It does not matter how many songs we sing. It does not matter how many tapes we listen to. It does not matter how well we can quote the Prophet. Bible school means nothing. PhD means nothing. Seminaries mean nothing. The number of people in our church is irrelevant.

We are Christians solely through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. When he comes in, we come to life.

HE IS THE GOD OF THE LIVING!

If we are not born again, we are DEAD.

This is going to scorch a bit, but I must say it. I will be held accountable on the day of judgement for having told you the truth, so here it is.

When you read a book, a blog, and article written by a denominational preacher, you are reading dead words, written by the dead, who worship the devil. When you sit in a “church” and a preacher comes up who is not born again, you are listening to a dead, devil worshiper preach dead words, through the dead spirit of antichrist.

The first step to life is:

Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Without proper baptism there is NO remission of sins.

Without proper baptism there is NO Holy Spirit.

Without proper baptism there is NO life.

Acts 19: 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve.

If the Lord God refused to give the Holy Spirit to Apollos, a man who was baptized by John the Baptist, a man who was preaching the gospel and leading souls to Christ, without first receiving the proper Biblical Baptism, the he MUST hold everyone else on earth to that very same standard, else he is a liar and a hypocrite.

65-0418E – Does God Ever Change His Mind About His Word? – William Branham

Just look at the Balaamites today. “Oh, I know, in the Bible they baptized in Jesus’ Name, but, look, all the people…” I don’t care what the people has done. “There is not another Name under Heaven given among men whereby you can be saved.” “No remission of sin, only through the Name of Jesus Christ.” What, how good you are, what you do, that don’t have one thing to do with it. It’s God’s original Word; you got to stay with That. Whew! All right.

Anyone and Everyone who is not Baptized in accordance with Acts 2:38 has NO remission of sins. If you have not repented and been baptized in full immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, then you quite simply do not have remission of sins. And if you died today, you die in sins and will stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ and answer for every sin according to the LAW.

Without Christ, without the New Birth, we are still under the LAW!

Anyone and Everyone who has not been baptized properly is NOT born again. It don’t matter what they say. It don’t matter one bit how many books they publish, how big their church is, how rich they are. If we have not obeyed that word we are NOT born again, we do NOT have the Holy Spirit; we are DEAD.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE GOD OF THE LIVING, NOT OF THE DEAD!

Those denominational preachers, the televangelists, authors, bloggers, preachers, priests, prophets so called, apostles so called we have today, without the new birth, without the Holy Spirit, are dead men, preaching a dead letter.

Preaching souls straight into HELL!

And you sit an listen to it? You tolerate that? And you think you are getting something from it? You are getting death from it!

55-0501A – Fellowship – William Branham

And did you ever think, the old proverb that man has once said (my mother used to use this much): “Birds of a feather flock together.” That’s right. You watch them. You won’t see doves and scavengers together, because they can’t eat the same diet. A scavenger, buzzard, he can just eat anything. A crow can sit out there on a dead carcase and eat. The dove couldn’t do it. If she’d eat it, it would kill her. She just can’t eat it. She’s gets over in a wheat field and begins to eat in the wheat. She associates with her own kind. But here is the startling part: Did you know the crow can eat on the dead carcase and also eat wheat? He can eat both, but… See? 44 See, you have to watch them fellows, that type, that can set in the meeting and pretending to enjoy the meeting, and go back out and take the things of the world. That’s the way social believers are today. But we like to congregate ourselves together with those who separated themselves from the things of the world: called out and been made new creatures in Christ Jesus, and fellowshipping around the blessings of the Holy Spirit. What a marvelous thing.

Saints of God wake up!

They could be quoting the Bible, quoting the Message verbatim, word upon word, and they are simply preaching a dead letter to you. They are dead soldiers of the dead, priests of satan!

The Message was sent to the Bride! The Message is only for the Bride. We are not to look elsewhere. We are not to eat that chicken food, that rotten meat. It is not for you, it will kill you. The world can eat it because they are already dead. It suits them just fine. They are already dead, they can’t be killed again in this life. But there is a second death waiting for them. Eat their food and you will be a part of it with them.

Doves cannot stomach it. The Elect won’t be deceived. She cannot be!

The Lord did not sent authors to the Bride, he sent A Prophet. One Voice! Don’t wait for another voice. Don’t look for another man. It is finished!

In the days of the VOICE of the Seventh Angel the Mystery would be finished.

Jesus Christ is the God of the Living! He is the God of the Bride!

Jesus Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed in the Message!

Depart from the world and all the things of the world. Depart from religions. Depart from dogmas and creeds. If it is not in the Bible, if it is not the same revelation as God gave the Prophet, flee from it. God don’t change his mind! The Revelation that he gave to the Prophet is the same Revelation today.

People take the idea of Progressive Revelation the wrong way. Sure the Lord God will Reveal a bit at a time for that is all we can take. He even said to the Apostle, “I have so much to say to you, but you could not receive it yet”. But the Revelation does not change, it just goes deeper.

A progressive revelation will be the same revelation, opened up to a better understanding, not a new understanding. The whole written word of God has been revealed and there is nothing left to reveal.

Jesus Christ is the God of the Living, not of the Dead!

He is the God of the New Born Church! Get Born Again! Come back to Life!

Receive Ye the Holy Ghost!

Flee from Idolatry

1 Corinthians 10: 14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Anything and everything that comes before the Word of God in our lives is an idol. Whether it be our family, our friends, our job, our pastor, our culture, our traditions, if it stands between us and the Lord God, if it is more important to us than the Word of God, it is an idol.

If we are afraid to bow our heads and pray over our food in a restaurant, at work, around certain friends or family, then we have an idol. If we are afraid to stand on the word because we don’t want to offend somebody, we have an idol. Something there is more important to us than the Lord Jesus Christ, and in our lives we are denying Him.

We can come to church, pray, sing, preach, testify, fellowship. We can say “amen” and pray like a thunder storm, but if there is anything in our lives that take precedent over the Revealed Word of God, over the name of Jesus Christ, then we have an idol.

The Bride of Christ will NEVER have an idol! Here is why.

Luke 14: 16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. 18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. 19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

Everyone here in this example had an excuse. Each one had been invited. The Lord had sent his servants, the Five Fold Ministry to them to invite them to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. He sent the Prophet Messenger to EVERY DENOMINATION to invite them to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. God’s vindicated Prophet walked the earth for decades screaming to all who would hear. They rejected him! They pushed him out! They insulted him. They attacked him. Even today they are still assassinating his character globally on the internet. They never came to the feast, they never came to the wedding. They never will.

We have all been invited to the wedding, and not just as guests, but as the Bride! You have been invited to marry the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the new birth. When we receive his Holy Spirit, that is the consummation. He is putting his Word Seed in the Womb of your heart.

If you are born again, not only are you already married to Him, you are impregnated with His seed!

So, then Bride of Christ, Children of the Most High God, Sons and Daughters of God, why do we still skip Church? Why do we not testify of the Lord to every person we know? If I look on your Facebook page, will I see the Word of God, the Message of the Hour, testimonies of the Lord, or will I see pictures of puppies and cake recipes? Nothing wrong with those things, but where is God?

How about “Praise and Glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for he blessed me with this cake recipe and blessed my hands to bake it and it came out delicious as we fellowshipped around the Revealed Word of God with the Saints of the Living God”? That is how you announce a cake recipe!

Put him into everything you do, and place him at the center of it all. That is where he belongs! He is your Bride Groom. He is your LORD!

Yet we fail. We do we not put away our traditions or culture? We do not put away the world from us. We hang onto creeds. We have made idols of them.

Luke 14: 26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Oh, I cannot do that, my parents will disown me. I cannot say those things, as my family will cast me out. I cannot dress like that as my people will persecute me.

Let them!

Good riddance!

Anyone who will be against you for the Word of God’s sake, for your testimony, for a godly life, you are better off without. Let them go if they want to go. But you are better off alone, poor, cold, miserable, hated, forgotten, cast off, on earth in this life and reigning with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, then popular and loved in a crowd on earth, and miserable and alone in hell.

Your worldly best friend will be in hell with you, but you won’t be sitting around chatting. They will be too busy weeping and wailing and gnashing their teeth, and hating you because you failed to testify to them of the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ that could have saved them from this.

You knew, and you said nothing! You were in a position to warn them as they were on the road to hell, but you clung to that idol that you made and you simply smiled, patted them on the back, and held the door to Hell open for them. And you told yourself that you loved them.

You murdered them with your Apathy, Selfishness and Idolatry!

Lord Jesus, please, let that not even once be named among us here!

1 Corinthians 3: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

You are the Temple of the Living God.

You, sitting here, you meat bag that you are, You are the Holy Temple of the Living God. The Creator of Heaven and Earth, dwells in that meat bag, or at least wants too if you will let him.

There is nobody in this building, nobody hearing this message that is not called for eternal life, else you would not be here. So the very God of Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ, has called YOU to be his Temple, and his Bride.

Think of it! Get the Revelation!        BRIDE OF CHRIST!

You are called. You are Justified in baptism. You are sanctified by his blood. You are made HOLY with him through his indwelling spirit. YOU!

Of the Seven and a half Billion people on earth, the Lord God chose you, and you had nothing to do with it. You were Elected from all the earth. You are his Bride, the Queen of both Heaven and Earth. The world should bow to you as you pass, and indeed one day they will.

1 John 4: 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

He is she. She is he. The Bride is flesh of His flesh, bone of His bone, life of His life, and as HE IS (I AM) so is She (YOU ARE) in this world. When you walk down the street, the Lord Jesus Christ is walking down the street. When you sit in a chair, Jesus Christ is sitting in that chair. He is she, she is he. I AM = YOU ARE.

He is you! You are He! You are ONE!

Oh! Bride of Christ get the Revelation of who You are!

It’s manifesting time,
the Fruit is on the Vine, (that’s you)
and the Lovely One is coming in plain view (Jesus Christ has been Revealed!)

To cap God’s chosen Bride, (YOU)

Redemption draweth nigh,

He’s that lovely One,

He’s coming in plain view.

Can you see him Bride? Can you see Him? He is you!

Flee from Idolatry!

2 Corinthians 6: 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

You are the true Queen of Heaven and Earth! What part had an infidel with you? What do you really have to talk about with them? How can you be partnered up with them? Business. Marriage. They are in the chicken coup, which is where they belong, and simply can never leave.

You are God’s Eagles! Spread your wings and fly to the Heavens with the Lord where you belong. You were not created for this world. You were created in spite of this world.

The cultures are chicken cultures. The traditions are chicken traditions. The fashions are chicken feathers. The dogmas, creeds, denominations are chicken food. It’s unclean! The chicken food lies in the dirt with the chicken poop. You’ll choke to death eating that stuff.

Eagles need fresh meat! Wheresoever the body is, there, THERE will the Eagles be gathered together.

How can a bird who can’t fly expect to be Raptured. They get a few inches off the ground and they get scared. A bit of worship and praise, a few gifts, some speaking in tongues, a healing or two and they go to running. They don’t understand it. It is too high for them. The Eagles are Raptured.

Gather with God’s Eagles and soar!

But one buys some oxen, a new car, a new house, a new business, and they are more important. One gets married and he needs to tend to his new wife instead of tending to the Lord. She maybe don’t like all this Holy Roller foolishness. One has a new job and can’t afford to offend his new boss.

Your boss is a chicken!

Your wife is a chicken!

You are an EAGLE!

James 4: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Friendship with the world is enmity against God!

Does that mean you cannot have friends that are in the world? NO! We are in the world, but not of it. We are to testify to them to seek out the lost sheep. If we are OF the world, if we love the world or the things of the world, then the Love of God is not in us. We are busy with the Ox and the wife and the job. We love the world. We refused the Marriage. We refused his seed!

It is adultery! Why do you suppose James wrote it that way. “Ye adulterers and adulteresses”. Friendship of the world is adultery against your Groom.

We cannot be married to Jesus Christ and flirting with Satan!

We put on those fashions and we are committing adultery. Tight clothes. Nail polish. Cosmetics. All that flash and glitter. Adultery! When you accept those dogmas and creeds, the Doctrines of Balaam, you are accepting an adulterers seed into the womb of your heart. When we cling to our cultures and traditions, we are committing adultery!

Those aren’t our cultures anymore. That man is dead and buried in Christ. We belong to a new culture, to a new nation now. We are Citizens of Heaven! We have a Heavenly Culture, a Heavenly Tradition. But many “in the message”, many so called Christians, have not received the seed of God. They have the adulterous seed.

Ezekiel 8: Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. 10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. 11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. 12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth. 13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. 14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. 15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. 16 And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. 17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. 18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.

In the inner courts. Between the Altar and the Porch. They worship BAAL! That Jezebel Religion right in the midst of Israel, right in the middle of the Message!

They have received of the Mark of the Beast!

In the Message today. People are rejecting God’s message, interpreting it, changing it, dismissing it, miss-quoting it, maligning it. And they are receiving a false message, a false doctrine, a false seed, and adulterous antichrist seed.

There must be a great falling away, then the man of sin will be revealed!

It is happening today!

1 Corinthians 1: 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

I’m of Brother Green. I’m of Brother Byskal. I’m of Brother Hidlebrant.

Be of Christ! He is your groom. Who are you married too? Brother Byskal or Jesus Christ? Brother Branham, or Jesus Christ? Whose seed have you received? Who is going to rapture you? Who died for you? Whose blood cleansed you? Whose burial garments are your wedding garments?

We are espoused to Christ! We are wed to him this hour if we are born again.

Flee idolatry. Flee adultery.

Ezekiel 6: And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

Idolatry is Adultery! They went whoring after idols. Have not all the denominations done that today? Starting with the Catholics, through the Pentecostals and to the Evangelicals of this day; they are the worst of all.

They have rejected the Message of the Hour. They have rejected the Holy Spirit. They have rejected the Groom. They have rejected his Seed. Their “whorish hearts” have gone after the idols of silver and gold: MONEY!

They have all sold out for money, sold out for “filthy Lucre”.

Revelation 17: 1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

She is a “whore”. The Church is the Bride of Jesus Christ. A false Bride who operates for money is a prostitute, a whore. The Catholic Church is the first and biggest, and richest whore of them all, and is the mother of all of them.

The kings commit fornication with her because they are not Bride material. There is no vow, it is not adultery to them for they have no Groom. They commit fornication and the people of the world, without Christ, go right in with them, all for money. They are drunk on it; drunk on the spirit of antichrist.

60-1207 – The Pergamean Church Age – William Branham

“I’ll show thee the judgment of the great whore.” Now, if she was that, then she was a woman professing to be something that…She was committing adultery! Is that right? Well, then, if it was a church, she was committing adultery against God. Is that right? Then adultery, would be fornications, spiritual fornications: she’s teaching something to the people that’s not God’s Word. Is that right? She’s teaching something that isn’t true. That’s the Nicolaitanes. See it coming here? Going about putting popes, and priests, and taking the Holy Spirit out, “Days of miracles is past”; and the Bible said, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday and forever.” The Bible said, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins”; she says, “Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,” sprinkle, pour around. Oh, my! See?
And it is creeping into the Message, subtly. I have seen Halloween parties in so called Message Churches. Christmas trees even. We’ll get to that.

Jeremiah 3: 8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

Israel was put away. She could have been the Bride, but before the Groom, the Lord Jesus Christ could come to her, she had already gone off into idolatry, adultery. She compromised her vows. And God put her away for it. He gave her the bill of divorce.

How about the Gentile Churches today? The Catholic Church was born in adultery.

Then God sent Luther to bring the people out, but before God could perfect them, they went straight back whoring into idolatry, into adultery. The Lutheran Church broke their vows to Christ and he gave them the bill of divorce.

Then God sent Wesley. He brought sanctification, but before they could receive Christ in his fulness, they turned back into spiritual adultery like their momma Rome, organized and God put them away! He divorced them too.

Then he sent the gifts at Azusa Street. Then He sent a Word Prophet, fulfilling Malachi 4:5-6 and Revelation 10:7 with the spirit of Elijah to bring the Word Seed. He got to the Bride before she could be adulterated. But it is not the Pentecostal Church. She was just the Bride’s Maid! She was already adulterated by the time the Prophet got to the Bride.

But the Bride was a Virgin!

No man, no organization, no devil got to her. She was pure! She is Pure Today! You are the pure Virgin Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ and he sent his Prophet to call you to the Wedding Supper and you came.

He married you and put His Word Seed in the womb of your heart and Sealed it!

When the Lord God filled you with his Holy Spirit, when you were born again, you were sealed and no devil’s lie can ever get to you again.

You are called and chosen, the Elect Lady.

63-0728 – Christ Is The Mystery Of God Revealed – William Branham

When Eve went away from the Word, she went away from her mate. And when the church goes away from the Word, to a denomination, she rejects and commits fornications with the world of man’s wisdom, rejecting the authority of God’s Word. That sound clear? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] The Bible said, “Committing spiritual fornications.” Any Word in the Bible, that’s rejected, or if any self-interpretation put to It, it’s absolutely rejecting and committing adultery against the God that is your Husband. An adulteress never enters the Kingdom of Heaven, we know that. See? Now, see, that’s what Eve done at the first place.

The denominations have all done it. They ALL adulterated. They are all gathered back to Momma Rome in the World Council of Churches, the Image of the Beast. The political world, the secular world has done it. They just voted in the United Nations against Jerusalem. That is critical. Zechariah 12 says that the Lord is going to gather all Nations against Jerusalem, not against Israel, against Jerusalem so that he can judge them all at once.

This week in the United Nations, 128 Nations gathered against Jerusalem, and 128 Nations were judged. And it happened on December 21st, the Sun god’s birthday.

They committed fornication with the Woman on the Beast!

They received the Antichrist seed from Rome!

Do not ever let anybody tell you that the Denominations are the Foolish Virgins. They are NOT virgins. They have committed adultery, every single one of them is adulterous. Their very names testify that they are adulterous. If you were to marry me and take another man’s name, are you really my wife? They have “blasphemous names”. They are in adultery, have received the seed of antichrist, and the wombs of their hearts have been sealed off by it! Forever!

The Bride of Christ is Sealed by the Holy Spirit!

The Denominations are Sealed by the Mark of the Beast!

Jeremiah 23: 14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

Notice here who the prophet is speaking of. He says “Prophets of Jerusalem”. What is that today? Message Preachers! They are committing Spiritual Adultery and walking in lies. The are adulteresses. They are like Sodom!

Not only adulterers, but in adultery with one another! Sodomites!

They are inventing their own lies, their own dogmas, and sharing it among each other. That is why there are so many foolish virgins. They come to the Lord, they repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. They get cleaned up and sanctified even. But they are being fed adulterous lies, and are never led into the fullness of Christ. They get the wrong seed, a seed of spiritual Sodom, a man made creed with no life in it.

Flee from Idolatry!

You are the Bride of Jesus Christ! Be the Bride!

54-0515 – Questions And Answers –  William Branham

Now what is that type of woman? Is a woman that lives and commits adultery. And the churches are committing spiritual fornications with the—with the people. See? They are—they are…Here’s the Bible that teaches This, and they make up a bunch of creeds and so forth that has nothing to do with the Bible. And, for, this is nearly twenty something years I’ve stood right here and asked any minister, at anytime, to come and take…not your textbook, your creed, but come take the Bible, in the Light of the Bible, and prove It wrong. See? That’s right.

Brothers. Sisters. This is not my ideas here. This is Thus Saith the Lord! This is straight from the mouth of a vindicated Prophet of God, the seventh messenger. This is the Spirit of Elijah speaking to you. Hear Ye Him!

60-1207 – The Pergamean Church Age – William Branham

And God, what did He do? And now when they did this evil thing, and they were in adultery, God killed forty-two thousand of them at one time; forty-two thousand, for committing adultery. And what is it spoke of here in the church? The spiritual adultery, that you profess to be a “Christian” and still living like the world.

Oh, brother, receive ye the Holy Ghost! Get away from these old creeds and things you…they’re dead; recite the Apostles’ Creed, or some kind of a creed, and say a few prayers wrote out of a prayer book, or something like that. Jesus never did tell His people to say a prayer, He said, “Pray!” Pray! All right.

246 Now, Constantine’s feast, just like Balaam. Now watch. Like Balaam’s pagan feast, Constantine had a pagan feast. All right. Pergamos was invited. And notice now this… 247 I’ve got something wrote down here, I’m going to leave it alone right now. All right. All right. I was just trying to catch this note here of the…something I put down. 248 Pergamos was invited. All right, they was invited to a feast after the Nicene Council. They was invited to the feast of Winter Solstice; which means, “the sun, worship of the sun,” which was a pagan god; which fell on December the 21st, the shortest day in the year. And the years…The same time doesn’t change till December the 25th.

All heathens celebrated it, the sun-god’s birthday. The sun-god’s birthday was the shortest day in the year, December the 21st. And then anyone that ever read the history of the churches know that heathens worshipped on that day. It was a celebration.

Here’s your Christmas Message. Ready for it?

FLEE FROM IDOLATRY!

FLEE FROM ADULTERY!

You got some wreaths, a nice pretty Christmas tree maybe, some lights, a blow up Santa, a few plastic reindeer on your roof. Maybe one of those fake, lying nativity scenes that shows the wise men at the birth of Jesus, in the winter, in the snow.

THAT IS ADULTERY TO GOD!

Jeremiah 10:Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Learn not the way of the Heathen. It is a false seed! It is contrary to the Word of God. It is antichrist from the bottomless pit of hell. Idolatry! Adultery!

Christians do not do it, will not do it. Thus Saith the Lord! Do not do it.

If you got any of that stuff Brothers, Sisters, rip it down and burn it. It is demonic. It is pagan. It is Constantine’s Nicene Festival in your house! How can a Holy God come into a house that is full of idols? When you accept that seed into your heart, you will be sealed off from the truth, sealed off from the Holy Spirit, forever.

The Bride will not be adulterous! She is pure! She will not be deceived. Be pure! Be true unto your Groom!

You are the Queen of Heaven and Earth.

As He is, You Are!

You are called for it. Everyone here is called to come out of the whore, not to partake of her sins, not to receive of her plagues. We are at the end of the end of the end. Get rapture ready!

Get Justified through repentance and water baptism in Jesus Christ’s name.

Get Sanctified through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Get filled and Sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise.

Flee Idolatry!

Flee Adultery!

Holy Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, be true unto Him.

As He is, You Be in this world.

By Every Word – The Absolute of the Narrow Minded Christian

By Every Word!

The Absolute of the Narrow Minded Christian

Matthew 4: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 7: 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The Narrow Minded Christian. The world uses that term, “Narrow Minded”, as an insult. Every Born Again Christian is narrow minded. If you are not narrow minded, then how do you supposed to enter into the narrow gate? Broad minded people go in at the broad gate, and the broad gate leads to….DESTRUCTION.

The Lord God has given us his Word. It is holy, true, complete, perfect and unerring. The Bible is Logos in print, the full revelation of the jehovah God, the full revelation of Jesus Christ, to the Bride. It is not to the world, for he will not ever reveal himself to the world. He is an honourable husband. For him to reveal himself to someone other than his Bride is Adultery. God is not an adulterer.

Even at the Judgement when the whole world will stand before him, seeing him, hearing him, beholding him in his glory on the throne, the world will do so without a shred of revelation. Standing in pure light, yet still in pure darkness. The world is darkness and the people a gross darkness.

How humbled we should be that the Lord has by his grace and mercy decided to reveal himself unto us!

Now when we make a drawing Engineering, we always establish a datum, a point from which all dimensions and measurements are taken. If we take one measurement there in life is always a small error. Now for the next measurement, if instead of going back to the datum, we take the measurement from off of the first measurement, the errors add up. The first could be a millimeter out. The second measure could contain an error of a millimeter, but that error is added to the first error and now you could be 2 mm out. Do that a hundred times and you could be out by a foot.

The same is true in the spiritual realm. We need an datum, an absolute from which we measure all things. Every soul has an absolute. For some it is science so called. For some it is a denomination. For some it is a man, a preacher etc. But for the Christian our Absolute MUST be the Revealed Word of God for the Hour, which is the Bible.

As soon as we get off that one true absolute, we start making errors, then make more errors compounding on the first. Pretty soon we are a million miles off but don’t know it because Our Measurement says that we are perfect.

62-1230M – Absolute – William Marion Branham

“But the word absolute is “an ultimate.” And, therefore, I think that everybody should have an ultimate. And every great achievement that’s ever been achieved, there has been an absolute behind it. No matter what it was, it’s had an absolute behind it. And every person, in order to achieve something, has to first have the absolute. And that’s the final wind back, through this, that, back through the other, till you come to that absolute, or the amen, or the ultimate. Of what you’re… You got something you have to tie to, in other words. It’s the final tying post, to every achievement. It’s somewhere. It might wind through many different things till it gets to that tie post, but there is the amen to all of it. There must be such a thing. You cannot go on through life without having one.”

One of the problems in the “Christian” world is revelation, or the lack thereof. Remember the Lord promised to be faithful to his Bride. He won’t commit adultery against her, he won’t reveal himself to anyone but to her. So how does he reveal himself to her?

You would say through the Holy Spirit, and you would be half right. There is a mechanism that the Lord God uses. Remember the Bible also said that it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save the sinner. But how does a preacher like me get that revelation, to preach it to you? Well we get it through preachers too, but through a very special preacher. God has to start somewhere with revelation.

Amos 3: Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The Lord will not reveal himself to anyone outside of his Bride, and he promised that he only will reveal himself through a Holy Ghost anointed Prophet! That is why I said our Absolute must be the Revealed Word of God for the Hour; without the Prophet’s Message we will NEVER get the revelation of the Bible!

It does not matter how smart you are, how well educated, how much study or prayer you do, who your parents are (Esau’s daddy was Isaac), if we do not come God’s provided way we will wander in darkness forever.

Revelation is not intellectual!

Revelation is not a matter of the mind, but of the heart!

We must come by God’s provided way or we will never get there!

Proverbs 14: 12 or Proverbs 16:25, [they are identical, verbatim] There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

This idea is so essential that the wisest man who ever lived, outside of Jesus Christ himself, wrote it twice.

There is a way, not the provided way of the Lord God, but a way, that seems right to man. It is logical. It makes perfect sense. They are not trying to be bad. In their carnal minds the way they are going seems absolutely right. But it leads to death and destruction. It leads to HELL and the Lake of Fire created for the devil and his angels. And the world is running in as fast as it can.

Their Absolute is not Absolutely right. We can be sincere and be sincerely wrong.

When a ship goes down, it sucks everything down with it. There are those “in the message” today, who are not yet converted, who are being dragged down with the sinking ship of the world. The nominal church, the Lot’s of our day, are down in the Sodom of the world, and will go the way of Lot’s wife.

What is a word? A Word is a thought or an idea expressed. Where do our thoughts originate?

Proverbs 23: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

The thought comes from the heart, where the spirit lives. The brain is just the processor, the the heart is the originator, the source. Jesus said that out of the mouth comes the abundance of the heart.

The Word of God, Logos, is the seed of God. Therefore, every word must be a seed, it is a type. The seed carries the life of the spirit from whence the word came. The Word of God, comes from the Spirit of God, and carries the Zoe Life of God, which is the Holy Spirit. Without the Spirit, it is not the Word anymore, it is a dead letter. It takes a spirit to give life. The moment the spirit leaves your body, you fall dead.

People “die” and are brought back to life by medicine. They haven’t really died, the spirit is still attached to the body. But once that spirit leaves, the doctors can electrocute that heart a million billion trillion times and you ain’t coming back to life.

Now a word is a seed that carries the life of the spirit in the seed. You plant the seed and water it and it grows. I planted a Papaya seed a few months back. That seed did not look like a Papaya. It sprouted, and started to grow. A twig shot up that looked nothing like the Papaya. Then after a time, it sprouted leaves. Again, they look nothing like the Papaya, or the seed for that matter. But as it grows, Lord willing, it will develop buds, and those buds will bear fruit. Now it gets interesting. The fruit, each fruit, will bear the original seed a hundred fold.

You plant one apple seed and let it grow. It will form into a tree that cannot be uprooted. That tree will carry the life of the original seed up and bear the fruit of the seed a thousand times over. Each fruit will have a dozen seeds in it.

When the Word of God is planted into your heart, and watered by the Holy Spirit, it will grow, it will not look like the original for quite some time. But one day it will bud and it will bear the fruit of the Spirit from the life of the Spirit.

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT WILL BEAR THE ORIGINAL WORD SEED AN HUNDRED FOLD IN YOUR LIFE!

Now what happens when someone plants another seed in your heart? That seed also carries a life. The life in that seed is the life of the Spirit from whence it came!

1 John 4: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Who is in the world? The “spirit of antichrist”! If we are in the world then the spirit that is in us, is the spirit of Antichrist! We just read it.

So when someone is talking to you from the world, what spirit is in them? The spirit of antichrist!

The words that they are speaking to you are seeds!

Those seeds carry the life of the Spirit from whence they came, the Life of the Spirit of Antichrist. When we let the ideas, the thoughts, the dogmas, the creeds, the traditions, the cultures, the religion, the psychology, the sociology of the world into our hearts, it plants in there. Then it pops up a little sprig. That sprig doesn’t look like the devil, so we ignore it. Then a leaf comes, then another, then another, but again, it looks harmless. Can anyone where while walking through the woods tell the difference between Giant Hogweed, Poison Ivy, Poison Oak and every other leaf and plant? To anyone but an expert they all look the same.

Without the discernment of the Holy Ghost we will never recognize the growth of those poison seeds in us!

Then a bud forms. We start having to explain it away. We have to say “signs and wonders were for the prophet but since the perfect one has come we don’t need them”. “I received the Holy Spirit without sensation”, when the Vindicate Prophet of God told us “a birth is a mess”. Or my favourite “I have enough faith so I don’t need God to work signs and wonders in my life”.

Brother, Sister, now you got yourself a problem. You got yourself a big old tree with a trunk 10 feet around and roots going to the bottom of your very soul. If you’ve let it grow this far, it will be a very painful procedure to remove it from you life.

But it gets still worse! Those buds will bear fruit. They will bear the fruit of the spirit, the antichrist spirit from whence they came. That one seed now has a hundred different demonic fruit hanging off of you. Everywhere you look in your life you will see the fruit of the devil.

We use cover-up or foundation, not Make Up. We apply Nail Hardener, it is clear so it is OK. Does the colour change what it is?

It is Jezebel Paint! The only women in the Bible who ever wore that was Jezebel and she ended up in a Doctor Ballards can – Dog Food.

We checked the lyrics of the song, it doesn’t promote sin directly. Who wrote it? What spirit was in that person when they wrote it? It is of the devil.

Yes it is an old folk melody, that we stole, then applied “Christian Lyrics” too. First, you STOLE it. Imagine in the Old Testament days heading down to the temple and stealing your neighbours sheep for sacrifice? He is a heathen so it don’t matter. You STOLE it. When you take someone else’s melody you are stealing it. Now top that off with the fact that the melody was written by a person who is possessed with that spirit of Antichrist. What do you suppose that song will do? Do you think the Lord will accept your worship? Do you think he will bless you?

You will get emotions. You will get intellectual. You will receive a spirit indeed, and you will be anointed by it. But will it, or even can it be the Holy Spirit?

We have to clear out the wedges of silver and Babylonian Garments from the camp!

But it gets Worse yet! That fruit will look delicious. The stolen song will sound so good. The cover-up and nail hardner and clear lip-gloss etc etc etc will look so pretty. The fruit will all be big and ripe and beautiful and sweet, and poisonous. It will be intellectual fruit. You will have logical fruit. You will have pious fruit. You will have reasonable fruit. You will have psychological fruit. You will have religious fruit. You will have a form of godliness.

And without the Discernment of the Holy Spirit through the Revealed Word of God for the Hour, it will look GODLY to you and to the whole world! The Antichrist looks like God to the world!

2 Thessalonians 2: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

He is not showing himself to be Satan, the Antichrist, the Beast, the False Prophet. He is showing himself, Vicarious Fillii Dei, in place of the Son of God. He is showing himself to be Christ Incarnate. And the world believes it. Why? They don’t have a narrow enough mind.

Revelation 13: And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The whole world will wonder after the beast whose names are not written in the book of Life of the Lamb! The whole world. Everyone. The Catholics, the protestants, the Hindus, the Muslims, the Zoroastrians. Even the atheists will wonder after the beast! How can this be?

They don’t have a narrow enough mind. They have no absolute, or a false absolute. They are not founded on the Rock of Revelation, but on the shifting sands of carnal understanding and dogmas. They do not have revelation. They do not have the Holy Spirit or the Message of the Hour. They cannot recognize the fruit or tell the difference between Poison Ivy and Mint.

They cannot discern between the Revealed Word of God and dogmas. They cannot discern between good and bad, light and dark. They cannot discern between Christ and the Antichrist! The Spirit that is in them, the fruit they are bearing, and the seed in that fruit are of the Antichrist spirit that is in the world. And they don’t even know it.

What does the Bible say of this age?

Revelation 3: 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

In that miserable, wretched, vulnerable, naked condition and have no idea. They think they are the queen of heaven. Their absolute is not absolute. Them missed the Message of the Hour, the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

But it gets even worse! The fruit that we will bear will carry the seed of the Spirit from whence it came. Our fruit, that we believe to holy and righteous and true, logical, intellectual, smart, dogmatic, religious, pious, will carry the Antichrist Spirit to whosoever receives the seed from us. They will receive the seed when they eat of the fruit! Our words will be sweet in their mouths and they will swallow those words into their hearts and DIE.

We need a narrow mind, too narrow for those big antichrist seeds to enter.

We need the Mind of Christ!

1 Corinthians 2: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

We have the Mind of Christ, only when we have the Spirit of Christ.

Get Born Again!

We have the discernment, comparing Spiritual with Spiritual. How? Through the lens of the Message of the Hour. People talk about Bible Codes. They have no clue what they are talking about. They are spreading Antichrist seeds. The Bible Code is the Prophet’s Message. That is where you will find the truth. And any idea that goes contrary to it, no matter how good, no matter how wise, no matter how ethical, or moral, or logical it may sound, is straight from the bottomless pit of hell.

Philippians 2: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Let the mind of Christ dwell in you. The greatest battle ever fought is in the human mind. There you will hear the thoughts of God from the Holy Spirit; there you will hear the thoughts of Satan. Win the War for it has already been won for you at Calvary. Destroy the thoughts of the devil. Destroy his seeds. Water the Seed of God in your heart that it may bear fruit and carry that seed to others.

Everywhere you go, every conversation you have, every song you listen to, every video you watch, someone is trying to plant a seed in you.

Every single word spoken or written is a seed.

Every single word carries the life of the spirit from whence that word came.

When we accept a word into our hearts, we are receiving the life of the seed, which is the spirit. When that word grows it will bear fruit. That fruit will carry the seed a thousand fold to others. And without discernment, we will look wise and holy and righteous, while we are slaughtering souls with our tongues.

James 3: 1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

We need an Absolute. That Absolute must be the Bible. We can only understand it through revelation. That revelation was first given to us, preached to us, by the Prophet. Any idea, any dogma, any creed, any doctrine must pass the Word test, the Revealed Word Test. If our ideas do not match line upon line, precept upon precept, word upon word with the Bible, with the Message of the Hour, then we are quite simply wrong.

Every word is a seed. Every seed carries the life of the spirit behind it. When we receive a word, we receive the spirit that comes with it. A word seed will grow in us and without discernment, we will never recognize its character. If it gets too big, it will be extremely painful to remove. That tree will bear the fruit of the spirit in the seed, a religious, logical, reasonable, pious, beautiful fruit that the world will love. That fruit will carry the original seed, and the spirit behind it a hundred fold.

2 Timothy 3: 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They have a form of godliness, but look at the fruit. Look at the spirit of the seed. They go into houses, Churches, and lead silly women, Churches, a Woman types a church, astray with divers lusts. Every learning, intellectual, educated, smart, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth.

Jesus is a faithful husband. He will never reveal it to them.

Get the mind of Christ in you. Get narrow minded. Straight is the gate, and narrow is the way. Nothing worldly can get in. Establish the Revealed Word of God as your Absolute. Stand firm on the world in the face of all adversaries and DO NOT COMPROMISE!

BE NARROW MINDED!

Knowledge

Knowledge

Isaiah 5: 11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink: that continue until night, till wine inflame them! 12 And the harp, and the viol, the babret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the lord, neither consider the operation of his hands. 13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Knowledge at the Center
Knowledge, the Center of Our Walk

What a word this is! I was hoping for a shorter word for this evening but you could preach a decade on this. It is hard to know where to start but I am going to try to keep it short. There are so many ideas here. But I see the central theme for us this evening as being the 13th verse. “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”

My People!

Notice here that God does not say the people, but “MY people” are gone into captivity. MY people! Not the world, not the denominations, not muslims or hindus, MY PEOPLE! The people of God, the church, the called out ones, are gone into captivity. We are supposed to be free. Jesus said the truth shall set us free. We have the word, and we have the message and yet Isaiah says we are being taken captive. How can this be? How can the church of the living God be taken captive in this day when we have the greatest light that has ever been? For the first time in history we not only have the entire Bible, but we have the entire Bible revealed. Even the Apostles didn’t have it. Luther didn’t have it. Wesley didn’t have it but we have it and today we also have captivity.

You might bed tempted to say “wait a minute, Isaiah is taking about his time”. The Bible says by two or three witnesses let all things be established.

Revelation 13: 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 he that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Is this Isaiah’s time? This is here and now. This is our age. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity. Who is leading into captivity? Who is leading the saints into captivity? The preachers! Preaching off the word and preaching a second hand gospel and preaching their own dogmas. They are leading the children of God into captivity. Look at our scripture.

11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink: that continue until night, till wine inflame them!

He is not talking about drunks here. This isn’t alcoholism. He is talking about a religious spirit, a religious fervor. They rise early with a religious fervor, they are full of religious emotion to the point where they become intoxicated and inflamed with it. Inflamed by it. Set on fire. Excited! They dance all over the stage, jump up and down and shout and scream from the pulpit. And the people in the benches are even worse. They put on a big show with lots of emotion. Church has become a Broadway musical these days. They get charged up and charge up the people and everyone is jumping and dancing and shouting “Amen!” to every word and not even paying attention to check what is being said.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you; whose judgment now of a long time lingerth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

There is your third witness. They with feigned words and fair speeches will lead into captivity. They will preach up a storm. There will be a huge emotional rush through the people. And they are doing it for money. Do you know how much they are making? Brother Branham refused to drive a Cadillac because he felt that he should not be driving a better car than the average man, and the cars they drive today put a Cadillac to shame. A brand new Cady would be a down payment for some of the cars, and jet airplanes, owned by preachers today. They have a religious spirit and the people sitting and listening will catch the same spirit and be taken captive by it. It is a very dangerous thing.

12 And the harp, and the viol, the babret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.

The churches will have the best music programs, the best buildings, the most beautiful architecture, the most professional sound system, the most wonderful organization, but they also will “not regard the word of the Lord not consider the operation of his hands”. Quite a thought that such a big beautiful church who claims to follow the message and believe the word would be so far off from it as to not even consider it nor regard it. How can this be?

Religious Hypocrisy

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

There you have it. Religious hypocrisy! We can sing, and we can have the best orchestra filled with university graduated musicians. We can praise, and we can pray, and we can worship, and we can call out in Jesus name. We can read the Bible, and we can quote the prophet and put his picture up all over our churches and homes, but if we disregard the Revealed Word of God in favour of a doctrine of man, no matter how good it sounds, how logical it is, then all of our worship is in vain. It all starts at the pulpit.

We have lots of preachers but very few Word preachers. Jesus said it would be this way. He said the harvest is great and the labourers are few. Pray for labourers! Pray that the Lord God would call more Spirit filled men to the field who will actually consider the operations of God, and regard the works of the Lord, and not care about the money or the popularity. Pray for men who know God and have intimate knowledge of his ways and his Word. How can I introduce you to someone who I do not know myself? We need Holy Spirit filled, God sent, anointed preachers. We have too many religious men and not enough Godly men. It has always been that way. One Elijah to 450 prophets of Baal. One Elisha to a whole host of worldly prophets. One Micah to 400 prophets with lying spirits.

It is the even worse today!

And these false anointed preachers are taking the people captive by the millions. Good people, children of God are being taken captive by these religious spirits in religious preachers. And you might ask why is it that they are able to take the children of God captive? Good question.

Knowledge

13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Knowledge! The people are gone into captivity “because they have no knowledge”. Surprised? No knowledge. That is God’s own words from the mouth of his holy anointed, spirit filled prophet, not mine. God says the people, the message people, the message preachers, have no knowledge. As I pointed out earlier, we have both the Bible in print and the Message that reveals the Bible, both in print and on tape, and we hear it over and over and can quote from 3,000 hours of preaching by a vindicated prophet of God, and the Lord God says we have no knowledge.

The message believers today have no knowledge!

Knowledge of God does not come with Bible reading. Knowledge of God does not come with church going. Knowledge of God does not come with message listening. You do not get knowledge of God by pressing the play button. That might rub some wrong but just wait a moment, bear with me, and you will see. Knowledge of God does not come with singing or playing an instrument. If any of those would bring you knowledge of God then Saul of Tarsus would have known God personally for he was the most educated theologian in all of Israel. Yet when Saul came face to face with the Lord Jesus in the pillar of fire, he realized that he did not know anything of God whatsoever.

Knowledge of God comes only from a personal experience with God!

Saul learned more of the Lord God in those three or four minutes in front of that pillar of fire than in many years of Bible School and Seminary. Moses learned more of God in a few moments with a burning bush than in 80 years of life and 40 years of the best education that the world had to offer. In order to know God, to have knowledge of who and what the Lord God is, we have to meet God personally. Some will point quite accurately to the fact that the prophet directed us not to preach until we have seen God personally. Amen! But if you look to the message he went even further to say that you are not even a Christian until you have met God personally. And if we have not met him then how can we know him and if we do not know him, and have no knowledge of him, then we will be taken into captivity.

Our scripture goes on to say that the honorable men are famished. Starved! They are not being fed. The preachers are preaching, the singers are singing and the righteous are starving for the Word of God. How can this be brothers and sisters?

Preachers

Fleecing the Sheep
False Anointed at the End Times

Quoting another preacher, even a vindicated prophet, will never feed a true child of God. An eagle needs fresh meat, not left-overs chewed out from another man’s sermons. Brother Branham was a Word Prophet and as a Word Prophet he pointed us back to the Word of God alone. Every Word preacher will point you back to the Word of God alone as well. If the preacher has the same spirit as the prophet did, then he will preach the same way as the prophet did. The prophet preached from the Word.

Not only do the honorable suffer, but it says that the multitude is dried up with thirst. Thirst for the water of the spirit and a parched thirst for the moving of the spirit. There is a famine of hearing the Word of God and a thirst for the spirit that is not being met in the churches today. Remember the foolish virgins have no oil. The Laodicean church has no oil, only the Bride does. The church has no oil because they have no knowledge of God. And they have no knowledge of God because they have not met God. And they have not met God because they are not being told to seek him, and not being led to him. Right back to the pulpit again!

2 Timothy 2: 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Straight from the pulpit it comes. We must not fight and argue but teach the truth for that will lead men to repentance, and by repenting they will meet God and He shall recover them from the snare of the devil, the religious spirit, that takes them captive at will. If the people are not told, then the people will not know. The watchman is responsible to the people to warn of the enemy.

For months every time I opened the Bible, any Bible, it always turned to the same spot, and every time I read it, it spoke loudly to me.

Ezekiel 13:1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord; 3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. 5 They have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. 6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. 7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord Saith it; albeit I have not spoken? 8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you saith the Lord God. 9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies; they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.

Foolish teachers, ministers of any kind really, following their own spirit. They don’t stand in the breach. They are not sent of the Lord. they divine lies by preaching doctrines of men. They are taking the children of God captive by religion. These are not prophets of Baal that the Lord God is addressing here, these are prophets of spiritual Israel. These are not the denominations, these are the message preachers of today. Certainly there are good message preachers but this is not addressing them. This is quite accurately aimed at a select group of men that were not sent by God, but went according to their own ideas preaching for gain. And when these men get hold of a pulpit they will build big groups; huge groups, that have lots of religion, lots of emotion, but are starving for the Word and the Spirit of God.

We are just a little family here today but we desperately need to know this. If we do not come to know the Lord God personally through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, then we will be taken captive by a religious spirit. If we are in the wrong place, then we will be starved for the word, parched for the spirit, and surrounded by religious pomp and celebration. The Bible said that we are to offer up the sacrifice of praise, but if that sacrifice is not washed then it is an abomination to God. Religious pomp and celebration, no matter how skilled or sweet to the ear, if it is not sanctified by the Holy Spirit of God, it is an abomination unto him.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

There is our answer. Jesus! He alone can set us free. He alone can give us liberty. He alone can free us from the spirits that threaten to take us captive. And he does it personally, not by creed, not by dogmas, not by church going, but by meeting him personally and getting to know him personally. We must regard the work of the Lord. We must consider his operations. God is alive and well. He is a miracle God. He is the same yesterday today and forever. Everything that is written in the Bible about him is just as true today as it was the day it was written.

Don’t get caught up in emotion. Don’t get caught up in a big show. Don’t get distracted by large crowds. Do not let a fancy building catch your eye. Get caught up in the spirit of God. The songs and the worship and the celebration are all important and even vital, but without the Spirit of God, it is dead. Where are the gifts? Where are the miracles? God is a miracle God. We point to the signs, wonders and miracles in Brother Branham’s ministry, but where are they in our lives? In Jesus’ day they pointed to Moses. In our day they point to Brother Branham. Let us look instead to Jesus. Let’s be like Gideon, the mighty man of valour, let’s seek out God personally and seek out his moving in our lives personally.

God is here right now to meet us. His spirit, the pillar of fire, is right there in the room with you at this very moment. He is waiting to hear from you, waiting for your invitation. He is waiting for you to regard His works and to consider His operations. Let’s all come together in one accord to consider His operations. Let’s all agree to regard His works. And not the works and operations of yesterday, but God’s works today in our lives, in our midst, right there in that room at the moment you are reading this.

The Bible says that the Lord is closer to you than your own breath. He is right there with you. The pillar of fire is right before you. Can you feel him? He is there filling the room. Seek him! Cry out to him! Reach out to him!

Receive Him!

Meet Him NOW!

The god of this world

World and The god thereof

We often talk about “God”. But what is God? The Word god means and object of worship, and as such there are many, many gods. For some people their car is a god, their wife is a god, the president of the United States is a god. Who is our god? Who, or what, is your god?

The Bible talks of the Lord God Jehovah. It talks of the great creator, the life giver, the healer, the redeemer the one true God and eternal life. It also speaks of another god. It speaks of another object of worship. This god, however, is a deceitful, horrible, lying, murdering, evil god. It is the god of this world and his name is Lucifer. The devil is the god of this world? He absolutely is for a god is an object of worship and the devil is worshipped by the entire world. Many will be very angry at me at this point, but if you sit back and search the scriptures with me I believe I can show you that what I say is true.

2 Corinthians 4: 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

May the Lord God add his blessing to the reading of the Word.

As a note here, the word “world” in Scriptures is translated from the Greek word “cosmos” which means society, culture, mores and norms. It does not mean earth.

The Bible is written in incredible simplicity. It is written to be understood by all. God does not require an education, or great intellect to understand his word. He requires only that you desire to know, believe and follow the truth. But at the same time, the Bible is a great mystery that cannot be figured out by the smartest of men. The greatest scholars can look into the original transcripts, with tremendous knowledge of Greek, and Latin and Hebrew, and search the scriptures day and night, and take notes and confer with others and in the end know nothing. The most learned and trained theologians of today all disagree with each other and yet claim to be highly educated and experienced experts with decades of study.

Paul was the most educated man in Israel in his day. He was known as Saul of Tarsus. He was schooled by the greatest Bible teacher in Israel. He knew the law and the prophets by heart. He knew every prophecy of the Messiah and yet he did not recognize him when he came. He knew exactly what the scriptures said about the Messiah, and he knew all the prophecies concerning the Church and yet when he saw the Church in action living out those prophesies he condemned them to die as ungodly heretics.

The holy Apostles, called before the foundation of the world to be the first messengers of the gospel, sat under the teaching of John the Baptist and missed that he was Elijah for their day as prophesied by Malachi chapter 3. These were not just the average guys on the street, they were the twelve Holy Apostles. They had knowledge of the Word. They witnessed John’s ministry. They witnessed Jesus ministry even seeing John baptize Jesus. They heard John say “I am the voice of one calling out in the wilderness”. They heard John say “behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world”. They came to Jesus with the word, confused. Let us take the scripture on it:

Matthew 17: 10 And his disciples asked him, saying, why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 12 But I say unto you, that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

John preached to them as the messenger sent before the Lord to show his coming, and they knew him not. Jesus said that John was more than a prophet and they could not even recognize that he was a prophet. The scribes, the theologians of the day, knowing full well the scriptures and quoting it to the people, pointed to the coming of Elijah and totally missed his appearance. They met him. They spoke to him. He quoted to them the scripture that vindicated his ministry. They were completely blind and oblivious to it. Just think about that and what it means for us.

Does it sound crazy? Not only did they miss the Elijah ministry of their day, but God himself was standing there in front of them in flesh, fulfilling each and every prophecy of the Messiah recorded in the scriptures, fulfilling each and every prophecy that they were pointing to and quoting, and they had no idea who he was. The very God of heaven, Jehovah in flesh, was performing miracle after miracle after miracle right in front of them and they were totally blind to it. Sounds crazy to us doesn’t it? Not only was the world blind to the fact that Jesus was the Messiah, they went so far as to call him the devil and then murder him. The greatest, smartest, most educated theologians and Bible scholars were completely blinded to the vindication of the very scriptures they memorized and quoted daily.

Malachi 4:5-6

Brother William Branham
Brother William Branham

But we also had a prophet in our day who had the manifestation of God in his ministry even to the raising of the dead and speaking into existence. He was a Word Prophet who completely fulfilled the scriptural prophesy of his ministry and the whole world missed it. It wasn’t just the secular world who missed it. The Pentecostal people, those that he was sent to, missed it. Millions of people sat in his ministry all over the planet. The ministries of men like Oral Roberts and Billy Graham came out from this man’s ministry. There are over 1,100 of his sermons on tape and nearly every one has a healing line where signs, wonders and miracles are recorded. Yet they all, all but a select few, missed it completely.

If William Branham was not the Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6, then who was? Answer me that.

The Bible says he must have already come, so if it was not William Marion Branham who fulfilled that prophecy then who was it? The Bible is clear. Malachi 4: 5-6 is clear. Zechariah 14 is clear. Revelation 10:7 is clear. Amos 3:7 that God would do nothing until he reveals it to his servant the prophet is clear. The Bible clearly tells us that we were to be sent a prophet in our age with the same ministry and spirit as Elijah to reveal the hidden mysteries and restore us back to the Word of God. Let’s read it.

Malachi 4: 5 Behold , I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 6 and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Elijah has to come before the “great and dreadful Day of the Lord”? The day of Jesus on earth was not dreadful. Jesus on earth was mercy. Jesus ministry on earth was salvation, healing and deliverance. It was the atonement, not the judgement. So then what is the “great and dreadful Day of the Lord?”

Zechariah 14: 1 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and they spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the woman ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 and ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 6 and it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: in it shall come to pas that at evening time it shall be light.

This is the judgment day, the return of Christ “with the saints”. And before that can happen Elijah must come to restore the Bride. Before Israel can be encompassed by all nations, Elijah must have come. Israel is encompassed by all nations today. The whole world is building up against them, blaming them for every evil on the planet. The world is preparing to go to war against God’s people Israel. The Lord is gathering the nations together so that he can judge them at once.

Elijah comes again the fifth time with Moses to Israel right away, and Israel is encompassed about right now, so the fourth manifestation of the ministry of the prophet Elijah must have already come. Somewhere at sometime in our recent past there must have been a man, with a prophetic ministry, with a vindicate message from God. There is no arguing that simple fact. Elijah has come.

The Mystery of God

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

The Lord of Glory
The Lord of Glory, Jesus Christ

What is the Mystery of God? There are many mysteries in the Bible. There are many things that God told through his prophets that he kept in symbolic form, but told the prophets it would be sealed up till the end times. For example, there are Daniel’s 70 weeks. There are the Seven Seals. There are the Seven Church Ages. There is the Mark of the Beast, the great whore of Babylon, the identity of the Antichrist etc etc. These are all great Mysteries. God gave us dozens of prophecies that he told his prophets to seal up to the end of the age. They are now all revealed. Every word in this Bible is now revealed for us!

So who was it? Who was Elijah? According to the Bible, and the events happening in the world, Elijah must have already come. Elijah must have fulfilled his ministry here on earth in our midst. Did you miss the Elijah of your day as the holy Apostles did in theirs? Do you know who Elijah was?

The world always misses it. They missed Noah. They missed Moses. They missed Elijah. They missed Jesus. They missed Luther. They missed Wesley, they missed Azuza street. And they are missing Jesus Christ even to this day. They are pointing to Jesus Christ in the scripture, and failing to recognize him fulfilling that same scripture today before them. Man is always pointing to what God did, talking about what God will do, and completely ignoring what God is doing right in front of them. Amen?

When Jesus was on earth in flesh, the religious people kept pointing back to Abraham and Moses. When the very God of Abraham and Moses, the great I AM, the pillar of fire, Elohim, Melchisedec, was standing right before them in the flesh and they could not see who he was. Do you see God this morning? Or do you only see him yesterday? Do you see a current Jesus Christ or a historic one?

The Message of the Hour

If there was a messenger, as the Bible shows us clearly that there was, then that messenger must have had a message. Each messenger throughout time has had a message. And the message that they brought for for their specific hour. Noah’s message of rain and a flood was specifically for the people of his day, and is of no direct use for any other day. Yes we learn from it, but we cannot act directly on it.

When God sends a messenger, he sends them with the Message of the Hour. The Message of the Hour in Noah’s day was rain, flood and judgement. The Message of the Hour in Lot’s day was fire and judgement. The Message of the Hour in John the Baptist’s day was salvation and the coming of the Lord. Martin Luther brought the message of Justification. John Wesley was sent to us with the message of Sanctification.

In each age a messenger is sent. That messenger is sent with the Message of the Hour. All who receive the Message of the Hour are the Bride of Jesus Christ for that day.

We sit back as “message people” in our vanity and think we got it all figured out. We think we got the Message of the Hour, so we think. We believe we had a prophet, and so we did. We look down on the denominations because they miss it. And yet we tend to be just as blind as they are or worse!

Where is God today?

How often do you hear preaching about what God did in the prophet’s ministry as though it were happening today? Yes the lord worked many miracles, signs and wonders through his ministry. There is not denying it. But, that was over 50 years ago! What is God doing today? Yes he raised the dead 50 years ago, yes he healed the sick 50 years ago, but what is God doing today in our lives, in our midst? What did the Lord do in your life today? Are we missing it? Are we pointing back to yesterday and missing today? Is our testimony about the power of God relegated to stories of God’s moving in the prophet’s ministry? Have we any signs wonders and miracles today?

“You cannot warm a man with a picture of a fire”. William Branham told us that. We like to quote him. We even like to quote that quote, then we act totally contrary to it. You got to have the real thing! You cannot save a man with a historical God. If Jesus Christ cannot do the very same signs, wonders and miracles, right here and right now that is written of him in the Bible, then he is useless to us. But he is the same yesterday, today and forever. And every single thing written of him in the Bible is just as true today as the day it was written.

He was the healer then. He is the healer now. He was the saviour then. He is the saviour this morning. He was the truth, the life and the way, the bright morning star, the lily of the valley, the great I AM, the pillar of fire, and he is exactly those things right here, right now. Are we seeing it?

Revelation

I wrote some time ago on “when their eyes were opened”. Our eyes have to be opened to see the truth, else we will miss it.

When Their Eyes Were Opened
When Their Eyes Were Opened

We can only understand the scriptures through revelation of the spirit of God. You will never figure it out. I will never figure it out. We will never study our way into heaven. You will never learn salvation. It comes purely and only by revelation. If we do not seek revelation on the word of God, and we do not wait for that revelation, then we will never understand the word of God. If we do not wait on God for an answer we will never know what the Bible is telling us. It will look like complete contradiction to us.

How can the scripture on one hand tell us that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man, and in another scripture tell us that it is the Holy Spirit that does the mediation? How can Jesus tell us to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and Peter and Paul tell us to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ? Without revelation you will never understand it. How can the Bible say that God hated Esau before he was even born and still be fair?

You want to know what really happened in Eden? I can tell you but without revelation you will not believe me. You want to know the Mystery of the Godhead? I can explain it to you but God has to reveal it for you to get it. A while ago we looked at the book of Ruth. To the world it is just a story of a woman and her daughter in law going home to Israel and getting their land back. But with the revelation of the Holy Spirit we see that the book of Ruth depicts God’s entire plan, as the Kinsmen Redeemer, of salvation for both Jews and gentiles.

The reason we have so many churches, lodges really, all preaching differently is that there is no revelation among them. They interpret the word by their own understanding and according to the desires and lusts of their flesh. When we decide ahead of time what the Bible says, then we look for scriptures that we can “interpret” to agree with us and deny and explain away the rest of the Bible that doesn’t.

Today we are preaching the Message of the Hour. We are preaching what the prophet preached, the unadulterated, revealed word of God for the hour. But we do not have the moving of God as the prophet did. If we get sick, a little pain here or there, the first thing we do is run to the doctor. Why is it so? Where are we at?

Matthew 23: 2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that obey and do; but do not ye after their works: for they sway and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: them make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 and love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues.

Does this sound familiar to you? Have you seen it in churches around you, possibly ones you attend? So why is that? So why is there no revelation among the so called Christians? Why do we not see the simple truth that we ourselves are preaching? We have become like a sounding brass. We make noise but there is no power behind it. Why does the religious world miss the truth, and so many of those who have the  truth preached to them, or even preach the truth themselves, not live it? Why the gross blindness? Why the hypocrisy?

The Greatest Battle Ever Fought

I am actually writing an entire book on this subject at the moment. There are two forces at work in this world. They are fighting a war that started a very long time ago. One is the creator and the other is the destroyer. One gives life and the other takes it. One is the God of heaven, the other it the god of this world. You were wondering when we would get to this. Sometimes we need a bit of buildup before making a point. We will all serve one or the other. The only way to overcome the devil is through Jesus Christ. A church cannot save you. Good works cannot save you. Only the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which comes through the new birth can overcome the devil.

1 John 4: 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore they speak of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

If we are overcomers then it is only through Jesus Christ living in us that we are. The world does not overcome. The world refuses to hear the gospel. They will gladly hear creeds, dogmas, sociology, psychology and anything else you throw at them, but they will refuse the word of God. Notice there is no third position. We either worship and serve Jesus Christ, or we worship and serve Satan. Period. These are hard words but absolutely true. There are only two controlling spirits, good and bad, dark and light, life and death, there is heaven and hell, but there is no third option. Here is another scripture to show you.

Romans 6: 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

It is unmistakable! Take a deep breath. I don’t mean to hurt you, but I am bound to tell you the truth. Here it goes.

Every person who is not born again of the Holy Spirit is serving the devil.

Oh good, you are still reading. Now let us go deeper. Even those who are born of the Spirit of God used to serve the devil prior to the new birth. It says so clearly in the above scripture. We “were” the servants of sin until we received and obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ. Notice here too that Paul uses the personal pronoun “whom”. It is not what you obey, as an inanimate thing or a lifeless doctrine or creed, but rather “whom” as a person. Every word has a life, a spirit behind it. I spoke of this in Every Seed After His Kind. We either serve and obey Jesus Christ through the faith and obedience to the Word of God, or we serve and worship Satan through disbelief and disobedience to the Word of God.

And that is the test. Do we accept, believe and obey the Word of God exactly as it is written or do we add, subtract and mutilate the written word to try to bend it to fit our own desires? When the Bible says to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, do we immediately seek water and get baptized, or do we say the wording is not important as long as we are baptized? When the Bible says that we must have foot washing with the Lord’s Supper do we wash each other’s feet, or do we say “oh, that was because they wore sandals back then”? Do we accept the Word of God or reject Jesus Christ in favour of our church’s dogmas and creeds? Do we worship and serve Jesus Christ or Satan?

God spent 6 days, or 6 – 1000 year periods building Eden. The devil has spent the last 6000 years building his Eden. We are living today in Satan’s Eden. Let that sink in. He is ready to incarnate himself as the antichrist and dwell amongst his children in his paradise. Before he can do that, the Holy Spirit must vacate the gentile world. The only presence of the Lord God Jehovah in this world is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in his born again children. Period.

The only presence of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth is in the Christians.

While God is still dealing with the gentiles, the devil cannot take his position. Once the last of God’s predestinated sheep is in the fold, and brought to maturity, then God takes his bride home and leaves the world to the devil and his children. Unfortunately the foolish virgins and the Jews will be left as well, and will have to deal with it.

Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of his mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, unto the fullness of the Gentiles come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the Father’s sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

During that time of three and a half years, God will only be dealing with the 144,000 predestinated seed in Israel. The plagues will be striking the rest of the earth but the only voice of God anywhere on earth will be in the two prophets preaching to Israel. Without God in this world, the foolish virgins will have no protection and will be mercilessly slaughtered by the world. The religious world will gather and kill the foolish virgins and think that they are doing God a service. They will be serving the god of this world, the devil, and thinking they are serving the Living God. Jesus said it would be so. Get in Christ today!

The god of this world

Satan is the god of this world, and the god of this evil age. Today, what is evil is called good, and what is good is called evil. Speak one word against homosexuality or abortion and see for yourself. Speak in favour of Israel one time and see how they react. Tell them that the Bible forbids women preachers or that Jesus said in Luke that all remarriage outside of widowhood is adultery. Tell a religious person that they need to be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and watch how they react. Apollos who was originally baptized by John the Baptist, in Acts 19, took his entire congregation and got rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Unto what were ye baptized? Will you go find water and get baptized properly? Every predestinated seed of God will.

The devil appeals to the desires of our flesh and our minds. His doctrines feel good to us and are logical and make sense. The doctrine of the devil will never convict us of sin. The doctrine of the devil will tell us that we are saved when we are not saved. The doctrine of the devil will never correct you, it will never point you back to the word of God but instead will interpret it to you in a way that will make your flesh feel good. You will walk into church a sinner, and leave a sinner, with no change to your life or attitude, yet thinking you are saved, simply because you attended or joined that church. The devil will tell you that God loves you just as you are and you do not need to change.

How evil is the world?

1 John 2: 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 and the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

The things of the world are not of the Father, they are of the god of this world. Worldliness is of the devil. If we love the world’s fashions then we love Satan’s fashions. If we love worldy music then we love Satan’s music. If we love worldly politics, society, religion, philosophy, ideology etc, then we love the devil’s stuff. If we love the things of the world, then we love the things of the devil, and therefore we actually love the devil! I’ll let that sink in. If we love the things of the world, then we love the devil. Amen? Hold on it gets a little sharper yet. Is all the world ruled by him?

Luke 4: 5 And, the devil taking him up into a high mountain, and showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time; 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 if thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

Do you still wonder why politics is so corrupt? The devil chooses who is in charge in the world. The Bible says so. That is why you won’t find a Christian in politics. They may try to sway people, but they will never be elected into office. You will find many who call themselves Christians but a real Christian stays away. They won’t want him around. Look to the Bible. Look at Abraham and Lot. Abraham stayed to his own while Lot went down into Sodom and got himself elected into a government position, the mayor of Sodom, for it says he sat at the gates judging the people. Who do you associate yourself with, Abraham the father of faith, or Lot. Are you of the World?

Who is your father? There are two gods, two fathers, two seeds. Are we of God, or of the wicked one? Do we see the gospel or is it hid to us? Are we of God or of the World?

When we cannot see the gospel, when we do not understand the revealed word of God for the hour, it is because the devil is blinding our minds to it. In Luther’s day the devil blinded people’s minds to Luther’s message and they rejected both him and his message. That message came from God so when they rejected Luther, they rejected God. In Noah’s day they rejected Noah’s message because the god of this world blinded their minds to it. And every one of them is dead, eternally separated from God.

And how did the devil blind their minds to Noah’s message? What trick did he use? He used logic, reasoning, science, philosophy and religion. Those are the tricks he has always used and will always use. It did not make sense that it would rain since at that time no rain fell. It did not rain before the flood. Science tells you right now that what I just told you is impossible but if you look into the scripture you will see that the original year had 360 days and today we have 365 ¼ days, and the 23 degree axis tilt did not exist then either. So the whole planet was in a different orbit than it is today. Whatever caused the flood knocked the whole planet out of alignment. The little earthquake that caused the Indonesian tsunami a few years back actually changed the length of the day, as did the big one in Haiti and the monster in Japan.

When Noah, in an age with all the science we have today and maybe a wee bit more, came preaching that God would destroy the earth with a flood caused by rain from the sky, it was easy for the devil to use reasoning, logic and science to blind the minds of the whole world to the truth. It had never rained, thus it could not rain. Simple logic tells you that. But they did not take everything into consideration. God said it would happen and it happened. Today we are told that the earth is reserved unto fire where the very elements will melt with a fervent heat. Do you believe it?

When Jesus came, how did the devil blind the minds of the people to who Jesus really was?

Mark 6: And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. 2 And when the Sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? And what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Judah, and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. 4 But Jesus said unto them, a prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, an din his own house. 5 and he could there do no might work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

The devil used reasoning and logic. They knew Jesus as a man and could not see that he was God. Even though he had amazing wisdom and worked signs and wonders, carnal reasoning told them that he was just a carpenter. Why would God choose him when he has a hundreds of priests and rabbis to use? It is the same today.

Why would God use a little corner church when he can use a big organization? A little church on the corner can only reach a handful of people but a big organized church can reach out to hundreds, thousand and even millions. Why would God choose an uneducated hillbilly when he has thousand of educated, theologians with Phd’s to their names and huge organizations backing them? Surely a logical God would use the big church. If a church has lots of members and lots of money, that must mean that they are right in their teaching and God is blessing them, right?

Who did God choose to forerun the first coming of Jesus Christ? He chose a man who was orphaned into the wilderness at the age of 12 and grew up on a diet of locusts and honey. Who crucified Jesus? The big organizations with lots of members and lots of money did it. What denomination was Jesus a member of? The denominations kicked him out and killed him. And yet today if you don’t have a university degree and a letter and membership card from a big organization nobody will hear you. That is the world in a nutshell.

St. John 15: 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If hey have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep your also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

The world is of the devil for he is their god. Satan is the god of this world. He rules their politics, he rules their religion, he rules their fashion, he rules their entertainment. Logic, reasoning and blindness are the devil’s handiwork and he always plays to the lust of the flesh and the pride of the eye. The Bible warns that in our age, it would be the darkest, blindest age of all.

Isaiah 60: 2 For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Not just a darkness but a gross darkness on the people. The devil has been more successful at blinding the hearts and minds of people in this age than in any other age before. In this age alone do we have the entire Bible revealed and in this age we have the most darkness as well. So much so that this is the only age in which we are told we are completely blind as a church. This is the age where we are warned that the devil would be so convincing that he would fool the very elect if it were possible.

Revelation 3: 14 And unto the angel of the church of Laodiceans write; These things sith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thour art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

This is Jesus talking here. He is not addressing the world, he is addressing the church. This letter is directed at the Bride of Christ. This is the condition of the spirit filled church today. This is the condition of the “message people”. The world is in far worse condition. The church today is blind! The church today is naked. We think we got it all and we got nothing. He is counseling us. Get treasures in heaven. Get white raiment. Get eyesalve.

The church today is blind and the god of the world has blinded them.

Look at your life. How are you living? Are you living the message or have the things of the world crept in to your life? Are you a walking Bible to every person you meet? Do we really see, understand, believe and obey this message? Are we living this message every day in our lives or is it a story of 50 years ago? Is God in our lives in the same way he was in the book of Acts? Are the signs, wonders and miracles following us? Have we met him personally? Do we have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ?

Or is the gospel hid to us? Is the Bible an open book to us, or is it a book of riddles that must be “interpreted” by our denomination, our theologian, our preacher, our pope etc. There are very many who will never see it no matter how long it is preached. Jesus said that there would only be a few that would see it, the rest would be blinded to it.

But the god of this world is subtle. He does not come with a pitch fork and a horse tail. When he comes to deceive the elect, he comes preaching the message of the hour. I have seen it where a man came and preached perfectly on the word for two straight hours, got the crowd excited, subtly slipped in his own personal heresy, and then went back to preaching perfectly for another hour. And the crowd all said Amen and missed it. They were not paying attention and accepted a false doctrine with no basis in the Word of God.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

The word “Christ” means anointed. So a False Christ is a False anointed one. They truly are anointed but are not doing the works of God. Balaam was such a one. He was an anointed prophet. He prophesied with “thus saith the Lord”. When he went to curse Israel, he had to bless them because he was a prophet under an anointing and could only say the words God put in his mouth. But when he was not prophesying he brought in his damnable heresy that almost ended the nation of Israel. The high priest in Jesus day prophesied under an anointing because of his position. Jesus said that the high preist was a child of his father the devil and yet he still prophesied under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

I encourage everyone to listen to Brother Branham’s sermon “False anointed at the endtime”; that is your homework. Give it a good listen, it will help you understand that paradox. Also check out the sermons “Satan’s Eden” and “the God of this Evil Age”.

The false annointed come so close as to deceive the elect. So they must be message preachers! A catholic priest with a turned around collar is never going to deceive you, but someone who can quote the message like a machine gun is another story. And they will use the same doctrine of Balaam to blind the hearts and minds of the people. Look who God likens them to.

Jude 1: 11 Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried aobut of winds: trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reseved the blackness of darkness forever. 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.

Cain, Balaam, Core; these were all false anointed of their day. These were all claiming to be believers. They were not the heathen. Balaam a prophet, lost because of his greed for money and power and popularity. Cain had the biggest most beautiful church and was murderously jealous of Abel’s little alter because God was with Abel and that condemned Cain. Core, what a scoundrel he was. God opened the very earth to devour him. He was after money and power and blasphemed God’s chosen, anointed prophet and the message of the hour to his day.

They all did the same thing. They all had a big ecclesiastical move to gather people to them, to earn power, and popularity and money. They all pretended to be believers yet did not believe.

Numbers 16:2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: 3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the lord?

Core was after power and accused Moses of doing the very thing that he himself was guilty of. He gathered all the popular men of his day together of a big ecclesiastical convention and rose up against the prophet that God sent. Core took 250 souls with him to his death.

Balaam told the Moabites to get their girls to fellowship with the Israelite boys saying that we are all “Christians” as we would say today. That led Israel off into idolatry. That cost Israel 24,000 lives. And it would have been far worse if a man, a boy actually, named Phinehas, had not stepped in. He came from good stock, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron. He stepped in when he saw the evil that was afoot. He could not take it anymore, it vexed his soul and he acted and God was pleased with him.

We need more Phinehases today!

We need someone to step in and act to correct the wrong. We need men with spines to stand upon the Word of God and call black, black and white, white and to condemn sin from pillar to post! We need men who are willing to be cast out from everyone, to live as hermits if necessary, but to stand strong upon the truth and both live and preach the revealed word of God for the hour. We have too many wishy washy pretenders looking for money, power and glory in the pulpits today.

The devil blinded the eyes of the people to the message of their hour and he did it with religion, with popularity, with money, with reason, with logic, with a private interpretation of the word of God that does not line up with the word of God. He came in Moses day with the prophet’s own message to the believers and peeled off 250 preachers with him. They all burned incense. And the numbers were low because God put a quick stop to it. If God would have let Core go he would have drawn half of Israel along to hell with him.

What about today? How many are being drawn off with the doctrine of Balaam? How many blinded by the gainsaying of Core? How many false prophets and false anointed looking to get rich off the people do we have today? How many having itching ears do we have behind the pulpits? Tell the people what they want to hear, please their flesh and they will fill the seats, and empty your wallet.

The Bible says “there must come a falling away first”. They are falling like rain.

Just ask yourself, if there are so few being raptured, then why are there so many in churches? The god of this world has blinded their minds and they can no longer see the truth! They will believe any lie they are fed.

2 Thessalonians 2: 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceivable ness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 and for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

If we do not love the truth, we will get to the point where we cannot believe it, or even see it anymore, and we will believe the devil’s lies as gospel. Once the devil has blinded our minds to the truth, we are under a strong delusion and will believe a total fabrication, a total lie. That is why we have over 1,100 “churches” all preaching out of the same book and all preaching different. We have every form of insanity being preached and the people are gobbling it up. There are “churches” preaching that there is no devil, they baptize in titles instead of the name of Jesus Christ, they don’t believe in the rapture, they don’t believe in the gifts, they put up Xmas tress, they have women preachers, they marry homosexuals and divorced people, and the list goes on and on.

The word of God is sure. There is no room for argument. But our flesh does not like it and if we fail to crucify our flesh then we will turn from the Word of God and accept the dogmas and creeds of men and believe the lies to be the truth.

2 Timothy 4: 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Fables instead of the Word of God. The whole protestant world is wrapped up in the World Counsel of Churches, the image of the beast, and has denied the Word of God. They have pushed out Jesus Christ in favour of man made dogma. Twice dead plucked up by the roots. They cannot endure the preaching of the Word of God because it condemns their worldly, ungodly lives. So instead of repenting and accepting the Word of God they reject the Word of God and heap to themselves preachers who will not scold them, preachers who will not correct them, preachers who will not strike against their ungodliness from the pulpit. They will find preachers who will not cry out for the abominations in the city. And by turning away from the word they will receive a strong delusion so that they will believe the lies that come from the liars they put in the pulpits.

The liars will tell them that they are saved when they are hopelessly lost and the people will rejoice to hear it. They will compromise on the Word of God and the people will say amen to it. They will turn the services into Hollywood extravaganzas award winning performances and the song services into rock concerts and the people will clap their hands and rejoice.

And in the message churches we are seeing the same thing happen, but it must happen for the word said it would happen.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.

Now that is the antichrist, who we now know is the pope. Through the prophet’s ministry we can now see in the word of God exactly what the Mark of the Beast is. But that is for another sermon. But the scripture says that there must be a falling away first. In order to fall away we have to have something to fall away from. If we are following a lie to begin with then we have nothing to fall away from. So it is not a falling away from religion but a falling away from the vindicated message of the hour. And from the scriptures we can also see that the falling away will be so close as to deceive the elect of God if it were possible.

It is true that some will fall away to denomonationalism and become beast worshippers. That is surely happening. But there is also a falling away to the doctrine of Balaam and the gainsaying of Core while still giving homage to the Revealed Word of God. And that is the most dangerous of all. The god of this world is managing to blind the minds of the foolish virgins just enough to keep them from receiving the Holy Spirit. And he does it through the same means as he has always used. He will us logic, reasoning, religion, popularity, politics, money, power etc. He will use an ecclesiastical move like Core to round up all the believers on his side. He will promote cross fellowship and gather the sheep, or steal sheep, from other churches and play on their lusts to get them away from the word. And they will fleece them for every dime in their pockets while he is at it.

The god of this world has an agenda. He wants you dead, both physically and spiritually. He will tempt you, con you, lie to you, confuse you, torment you, condemn you, praise you, bless you, persecute you and do anything and everything to get you off of the Word of God.

First he will butter you up and tell you how wonderful you are, how holy, how spiritual. He will play straight to your pride. Then he will bring the Word to you and try to interpret it to you. He will make it look so beautiful. He will make it look so glamorous. He will make it look so reasonable and logical. He will appeal to your every carnal sense and to your every fleshly lust. He will bring his lie in such a way that it will sound perfect to your flesh. The devil’s lie will meet every fleshly desire you have. Then he will try to get you to compromise on the Word, to admit there is some merit in what he is saying. Then he will attack you and demoralize you. He is a killer. He is a destroyer. He is a liar and a murderer, and the father of it all.

The only escape is the Word. The Bible promises us that if we resist the devil and he shall flee from us. He is a bluffer. He was defeated at Calvary 2,000 years ago. Jesus Christ defeated him, took his authority away, paid the price for our every sin, cleansed our iniquities and healed all of our diseases.

Satan has no power over you except the that you give him.

Resist him. Reject him. Take God’s Word no matter how hard it is for it will cleanse you and give you eternal life. Don’t look at physical evidence, look at the promised Word of God. Abraham did not look at his old age or his withered wife. He looked at God’s promise and believed and received a son at the age of 100 with his 90 year old wife. Noah did not look at science but trusted God’s promise of rain and spent 120 years building and ark and preaching that it would rain when science told him it could not.

Isaiah told us that we would be in a state of gross darkness, but in the evening there would be light. Walk in that light while it is still shining for one day very soon there will be absolutely no light left for the gentiles. A day is fast approaching when it will simply be too late. Are you in Christ Jesus this morning? Have you been closing your eyes to the truth? Have you been led away with religion, politics, reason, logic, glamour, popularity, money? Are you feeding your flesh or your soul? Are you eating the fresh manna?

The devil is defeated. He is exposed. The light that shines from Jesus Christ casts out all darkness. Don’t let the devil blind your minds any longer. Don’t let the gospel be hid to you. Cry out to God for revelation! God is calling the bride to repentance! Repent and live the message. Do what the word tells you to do. If it says repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, then do it, do it today for tomorrow may be too late. Whatever the word says, do it.

Don’t trust in numbers. Don’t trust in man. Don’t trust in organization. Trust only in Jesus Christ. Do not let the god of this world blind your eyes to the truth. Satan is the god of this world and the whole world worships and adores him and does not even know it; they are blind. The world is blind! The denominations are blind! Satan is the god of this world.

Revelation 13: 8 And ALL that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Please, I beg of you, open your eyes!

Law

LAW, GOD’S LAW

Our Schoolmaster unto Salvation

Law and Grace
Law and Grace Woven in the Scriptures

The Lord God Jehovah gave us a law. We find that law written throughout the pages of the Old Testament. That law condemned us all to die because none of us were able to follow it. And we should also remember that the Bible says in James that if we break one word of the law we are guilty of the whole law. The penalty for breaking the law is death. God, however, did not want us all to die, he wanted us to live. To accomplish his goal, the Lord God came veiled in the flesh in the man of Jesus Christ and fulfilled the entire law and took all of our sins upon himself and gave his life in place of ours.

It was you and I that were condemned to die on that cross, for you and I committed the sins that put Jesus there. But Jesus Christ, the great Kinsmen Redeemer, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the bright morning star, the rose of Sharron, the lily of the valley, the prince of peace, took your sins and my sins and all of our iniquities and bled and died there for you and I so that we might live with him forever.

This is a very well known doctrine to church going folks. If the Lord will, I would like to look a little deeper into it, to see exactly what the law was, why it was given and exactly what the Bible is telling us when it says that Jesus “fulfilled” the law. We also like to say that we are no longer under the law. We will by the grace of God look a little deeper into that statement and root out in the scriptures exactly what this means. Some will be very surprised indeed by what we will find.

Galatians 3: 19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

So the Bible says that the law is there to deal with transgressions, and the law exists because of those transgressions. This is an interesting and important point. Most would naturally think that the transgressions must come as a result of the law, but we find it written here in the opposite order. The law was added because of transgressions. First the transgressions existed, then the law was added because of them. The law is God’s answer to transgressions.

And the Word says that the law will continue UNTIL the seed should come to whom the promise was made. Who was that promised seed of Abraham, the promised seed of the woman back in the Garden of Eden? God said unto the serpent in Genesis chapter three that “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and the woman’s seed, and you shall bruise his heal, but he shall bruise your head”. The seed of the woman, the promised seed, was none other than Jesus Christ.

Now notice that the law actually existed before Moses. Moses did not write the law, he merely penned it as God spoke it to him. And in fact the famous Ten Commandments were even penned by the Lord God himself as he wrote them in stone with his own finger as the prophet Moses stood by and watched. The law actually started way back in Eden. I used to think that it started with Moses myself but the word explicitly says otherwise.

The first law was “eat not of the fruit for the day you eat thereof you will die”. That was the law in Eden. That was the only law they had at that time. Don’t eat and if you eat you die. It was short, it was simple and it was the law.

Notice now the two components of a law. Every law must have these two components or it is not a law. The first essential component is the thing that you are not supposed to do, and the second is the consequences for doing it. “Do not eat”: was the thing you aren’t supposed to do. And, “IF you eat you die”: was the unconditional Consequences. And every law has these two components.

Without both components it is not a law. Without a commandment it has no direction, and every law must be enforceable. Therefore if there is no consequence for breaking the law then the law is no longer enforceable and of no effect. Adam and Eve did not know much of the law back then but what they did know they were more than able to transgress.

The Bible said the Law was “added” because of transgressions. It was “added”, not just given in one shot but added, which in the Greek is prostithemi which is a verb meaning to increase or to proceed further in giving. So the law was given, but not at once, not in one place or at one specific time but rather it was given and increased over the passage of time, and proceeded further in its giving because of transgressions. The law unfolded with time. The law was a progressive revelation.

So is that it, or is there a deeper reason? Nothing happens without reason and there is no coincidence in life. Is there something more here, another layer? Why would God give the law out in a piecemeal fashion, a little here and a little there, and not in one big lump right at the beginning?

What is the underlying purpose of the law? We know it was given because of transgressions, but how was the law supposed to deal with those transgressions? What was the law doing with those transgressions and with the people it was given to? What is the relationship between us, the law, and the transgressions, and God the law giver and judge? The Bible gives us those answers.

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

The law was our Schoolmaster. It is our teacher. The Bible says that it was brought in and added because of transgressions AND its purpose was to bring us unto Jesus Christ by teaching us as a schoolmaster. Then after the law brings us to Christ we might be justified by faith. That is a mouthful.

It doesn’t say that we can be justified by the law. The law does not and cannot justify anyone for every word of the law that we transgress condemns us to death. Rather, the law brings us to a place where we can be justified. And it brings us there by teaching us something. So if the law brings us to a place where we can be justified by faith through teaching us, then we need to know exactly what the law is supposed to be teaching us?

Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

This ties in nicely with our central theme and opens the door a little more for us. It goes back a couple of scriptures and weaves itself in. So putting it together so far we see that the law was added because of transgressions and without the law there are transgressions, but we do not know of them and are left guiltless of the law. Why is there no guilt of transgressions without the law? The law alone determines what is, and what is not a transgression. So if there is no law, there is no crime. The act still exists, and the act can be against the perfect will of God, but there can be no crime assigned.

Look at the internet today. It is very new so there are almost no laws in place to govern what goes on with it. And when people are using it wrongly or for some evil purpose, nobody can hold them accountable in this world for their actions because there is no law on the books to charge them with. There is no commandment, and there are no consequences. So until someone writes a law, the police and the courts have no justification in arresting the people. They have nothing to charge them with. There might be horrible acts going on but there is no crime.

But once the law is in place you cannot do those same things anymore. You could do them before but the law is written but once the law is written, then the act becomes a crime. This is a very important and interesting point to note. The law is not retroactive. God created time for a purpose and uses time and has given us definite timelines within the plan of salvation.

So if you commit an offense yesterday and they bring in a law against it today you are free. But if you commit that same thing tomorrow, you go to jail, even if you have been doing it for years before without fault.

Here is an earthly example. The road from your house to work is not very busy and the speed limit is 50 mph. You drive it every day at 50 mph for 15 years. Then as the city develops the area and the road gets busier and someone decides that 50 mph is too fast and one Tuesday morning the speed limit is reduced to 30 mph. It does not matter that you have been driving at 50 for all those years. If you drive at 31 mph today you will get a ticket for speeding. You will not be ticketed for driving 50 mph on Monday, but Tuesday driving that very same road, in that very same car, at that very same speed will earn you a fine. On Monday it is an act with impunity, but on Tuesday that very same act becomes a crime with a punishment.

Here is a spiritual example from the scriptures. Abraham married his sister Sarah. She was his half sister and he took her for his wife. God blessed the union such that he gave them a miracle baby and made that baby the promised seed through whom God would bless the entire planet and every living soul on it. Keeping that fact in mind let us look at what the law of Moses clearly says about the act of a man marrying his sister.

Leviticus 18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of they father OR the daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

It is needful to note the word “or” in this passage. The word or is in there for a reason. Some will say “but Sarah was his Half sister”. The law doesn’t say the daughter of thy father AND mother, it says the daughter of thy father OR mother. So according to the law of Moses, Abraham committed sin punishable by death. Abraham clearly violated the laws of Moses. How could God bless a union that was in clear violation of his law that he gave us through his prophet?

Abraham married his sister, an act which is condemned by God’s law. That we have established. Did Abraham sin? Absolutely not! Why? The law clearly shows that what Abraham did with Sarah in marrying her was a direct contravention of the law of God as written by his prophet Moses. So if Abraham transgressed the direct commandment of God, then how is there no sin?

The law concerning that transgression had not yet been added. Without law there is no guilt of transgression. And it wasn’t just Abraham that married his sister. Abel. Seth. Enos. The first few men had no choice, they either had to marry a sister or not marry at all for there were no other women on the planet. But it was not sin because there was no law concerning it yet and where there is no law there is no guilt of transgression. But don’t you do it today. If you do it today you will be found guilty and condemned with the world.

Now does that mean that if we don’t know the law we are saved? No don’t go getting that idea. Even in the laws of man, the ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse. The Bible covers that too:

Romans 2: 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.

They did not know any better so they are judged outside of the law. They however still do not have Christ because it is the law that is the schoolmaster that leads us to Christ. So without the law they are not judged in the law, yet they still do not, and cannot, have Christ. So since the law leads us to Christ we cannot find salvation outside of the law, and since the law cannot justify us we cannot find salvation IN the law either. The law leads us to Jesus Christ, who is the salvation, the resurrection and the life. Jesus said:

Luke 12: 47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

See, the law teaches us to come to Christ, but if we do not come, the punishment is most severe. Ignorance is no excuse. The one who did not know of the law was still beaten with stripes. But the one who knew it was doubly guilty, first for transgressing the law and then also for disregarding the law which he knew. The Bible goes on to say in Hebrews that if we sin willfully after we come to the knowledge of the truth there is no more sacrifice for sin but a certain fearful looking for judgment.

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus tells us here that we must do the will of the Father if we are to have any hope of entering the kingdom of Heaven. Then in order to be saved we need to know exactly what is the will of the Father? How can we know what the will of the Father is?

We need someone to teach us what the Will of the Father is or we could never know it. Without a teacher we are lost. God provided a teacher and not just any old teacher but a schoolmaster. The law is our schoolmaster. The law tells us what sin is, and what is not sin. It is the law that teaches us what the perfect will of God is. The law was added because of transgressions against God’s perfect will. It was added to teach us what those transgressions are and to show us what our reward is if we do them. Without the law how would we know? How would you know what God required of you unless He told you? You could try guessing. Lots of churches do that and look where it got them. We have over a thousand “Christian” churches today all preaching different, all preaching a different “perfect will of God”. God can only have ONE perfect will.

So the Law is our schoolmaster. Unfortunately that leaves us with a peculiar little paradox. We are told conclusively that we need the law, and that it is the law that teaches us the perfect will of God and leads us to Christ that we might be justified. But the Bible also says:

Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law.

How can we resolve this apparent contradiction? Like I said many times in the past, every line has to run true or it isn’t Bible. The Bible is incapable of contradicting itself, so if we find a contradiction then we must be off the scriptures somewhere.

If our doctrine gets stuck somewhere in scripture then that is a sign that our doctrine is wrong and we have to start over. Always remember that. If we have to explain away a single line of scripture, then our Urim Thummim, the Holy Bible, the Word of God, is telling us that we are wrong. Every doctrine of God lines up perfectly with every single word in the Bible. There are no mistakes.

But are we stuck with a contradiction or do we just need a couple of scriptures to bridge the gap in our understanding? There isn’t any gap in the Word, it’s complete and perfect. The gap is in our understanding of the Word, or rather our lack of understanding of the Word of God.

So let’s find the bridge that ties the two thoughts perfectly together.

The law is our schoolmaster, which the Bible says in Galatians, has two purposes. It first brings us to Christ. Second, in bringing us to Christ it brings us to a place where we can be justified by faith.

Lets start with the first thought. The law is our schoolmaster which brings us to Christ. So the law teaches us something, and what we learn from the law somehow brings us to Christ. Is that right? What does the law teach us?

We’ve already seen that it teaches us what is and what is not sin by showing us and defining what transgressions are. It clearly demonstrates to us what the perfect will of God is and thus shows us when we are not in the perfect will of God.

If we know what the crimes are, then we know what God wants us to avoid doing. And if we know what God wants us to NOT do, then by default does it not also tell us what God wants us to do? And if we know what God wants us to do, and we know what God wants us to not do, doesn’t that mean that we know the will of God? It makes sense doesn’t it? This brings us back to what Jesus said about who gets into the kingdom, those who do the will of my Father. And now by the teaching of the schoolmaster, we can know what the will is.

How can you do the will if you don’t know what the will is? We’ve come full circle. So the schoolmaster teaches us the Will of God. Is that all it teaches? Is that all we need, to know what the transgressions are? Will that in and of itself bring us to Christ and to justification by faith? The Bible says no. The Bible says it is not enough to know the law. It is not enough to know the will of the father. Jesus didn’t say those who know the will of the Father get into heaven, but only those who DO the will of the Father. Remember it also says in James chapter two “you believe in one God, you have done well, the devil also believes and trembles”. (Most churches today don’t even believe in one God, they believe in three Gods. They are not even as spiritual as the devil.)

James 1: 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Knowing right from wrong is not enough, we must be doers of the word and not hearers only. And James pointed out that it is the law that teaches us as well.

St. John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Jesus said if you didn’t know better then there was no sin, but since you do know better, and you claim to know better, your sin remains. They knew the will of the Father, they had the schoolmaster of the law, but they did not obey and they did not receive its teaching. They had been under its teaching their whole lives. But still it wasn’t enough. Was it just because they did not obey the law?

Lets take an example:

Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him , Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God. 19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. 20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross and follow me.

So here we have someone who knows the law, and who keeps the law and has kept it his whole life, yet that wasn’t enough because he could see that he did not possess eternal life. He still was not justified. Knowing and keeping the law did not justify him. The law cannot justify us.

The law is our schoolmaster, and it teaches us what the transgressions are. And in teaching us it is supposed to bring us to Christ but the law itself cannot justify us. We can have the whole law and yet be unjustified as the rich ruler was. He had the law and the Bible says he even kept it from his youth, but he did not have eternal life. He was not justified. He was lost.

But it is not the law that justifies us. It was never intended to justify us but to bring us to the One that would justify us. That man is Jesus Christ. And he justified us through the law by fulfilling the law. Remember earlier we said the law has two components. One told us what not to do. And the other told us of the penalty for transgression. The first part was accomplished to John the Baptist time. That is what Jesus said. The law and the prophets were unto John. So the Old Testament is the schoolmaster that shows us what not to do and what to do. Where does Jesus come in?

Jesus Christ fulfilled the entire law. The law was added until John then Jesus, the great capstone, fulfilled the law. He fulfilled the law first by taking the commandment part of the law and changing it from an external law to an internal law. In the old testament it was a physical do or do not. But Jesus tells us that it is not enough to maintain a physical outer law. We must have the law internally.

Matthew 5: 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment. BUT I SAY unto you that whosoever is angry with his brother without cause shall be in danger of the judgment.

Just stop there for a moment. If we are angry at a brother without cause we are guilty of murder? Is that what Jesus is saying. He said in old days you had to actually take the life but today it is sufficient to hate without cause. The External law is transformed to an Internal law today. God said in our day he would write his word upon our hearts and minds. So if it is written on our hearts and minds then it can also be also transgressed in our hearts and minds. This is an essential concept. I hope you are catching that.

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 BUT I SAY unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Jesus said that the person has “Committed it in his heart”. The law is written on our hearts so it is also transgressed in our hearts. So then what chance do we have? At least at one time it was a matter of subjugating the urges you felt and just not going out and doing them. Now to simply willfully entertain those things in our thoughts makes us guilty of sin. Is there any hope for any of us? Certainly not in the law, it condemns us to death. It condemns us internally.

1 John 3: 20 for if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence towards God. 22 And whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

The law is now an internal law and will condemn us internally if we even desire to commit a transgression of the law.

But Jesus fulfilled the whole law. He fulfilled the first part. He fulfilled the law by completing the second part as well. He took the entire penalty for all transgressions upon himself. He took All the transgressions both external and internal. He paid the price in his flesh for every sin committed, past, present and future.

That is our only hope, our only salvation, our only reason to live, our only way to live. He alone is the truth the life and the way. He is all in all. Oh what miserable creatures we were without him. And when we receive Him we are set free from the law of sin. Here we get to a very crucial point. This is a point that will surprise most who read this. It is perfectly scriptural but little known. It is absolutely the Bible, absolutely the truth but hidden from most. Remember the paradox we just reviewed.

Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law.

And also:

Galatians 3: 25 But AFTER that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

So the schoolmaster, the law, teaches us and bring us to Christ and then WHEN we receive Christ in faith, He justifies us through that faith because he fulfilled the law. At THIS POINT we are set free from the law. It is the very moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior that we are set free from the law. We were not set free 2000 years ago. He fulfilled his part back then, but we are not personally set free from the Law until the moment we accept Jesus Christ.

We are set free from the Law the moment we receive Christ, not before.

So what of those who have not received Christ? So what of those not led by the spirit? The term If always goes with then. If, then. IF, IF ye are led of the spirit THEN, ye are not under the law. We have to slow down here a little. This is going to be a chunk of meat for some I think.

So then are those who are not led by the spirit, those who refuse the spirit, those who refuse Christ still under the law? Absolutely!

Those who refuse Christ are still under the law!

They will have to stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an answer for every word in the law. We are either under the law or under grace, there is no third position. We are either in or out. We are either saved or lost. With law comes the judgment and if there were no law then there could not be judgment. And the Bible says he who offends the law in one word is guilty of all. Is that Bible? We mentioned it earlier.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

He is “guilty of all”. If we do not receive Jesus Christ as our saviour, if we are not justified by faith in Him, we will be held accountable for every letter of the law and we will be found Guilty of ALL.

Galatians 3:10 for as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in ALL things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

All the things, not some of them, not most of them, not all but one thing, A-L-L, ALL of them. If we are not in Christ Jesus then we are still under the entire written law. The New Testament is of absolutely none effect to us without the blood of Jesus Christ.

So then what do we do? Receive Christ! Sound good but how? Men and brethren what shall we do?

Acts 2: 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

See, at this point Jesus had already died for our sins some 50 days ago and risen and ascended on high, but those men who witnessed the pouring out of the Holy Spirit were pricked in their hearts. They were internally condemned by the internal law of the Spirit of God. They were guilty of the law and condemned by it and they knew it. They realized they needed to be justified.

Peter said to them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Do you see it? By receiving Jesus Christ we are set free from the law. Without law is no sin. We still committed the acts, but we are set free from the guilt of it. When we repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, it is at that moment that we are set free from the law. It is at that moment in time that we are justified. Until that very second we were completely under the law and guilty of the whole law and condemned to death and hell.

And we must follow exactly for there is a way that seems right unto man the end thereof is death. The Bible gives us a very detailed description of how to receive Jesus Christ. First we must repent, get the inward law and acknowledge our transgressions and make right those things we had made wrong. Then we must be baptized in full immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ. No other baptism, no baptism in titles, but specifically in the name of Jesus Christ. Thre is exactly one baptism. That is why in Acts chapter 19 a group of repentant believing Christians needed to be rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ; their original baptism was in error.

Another place where people get lost here is they forget the repent part. Miss that and you go in a dry sinner and come out a wet one. Repent. Make the wrong into a right. Live according to His commandments. Die unto yourselves. Baptism is a burial. And today I think we bury to many live people.

St. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him. If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

What does it mean to “keep” his words? Does it just mean to know them? Does it maybe mean to not change them in any way? The Greek word used here is tereo which means to guard, obey and observe. The Greek word for prison has the same root. So how do we keep His words? It is more than to just know them or to maintain them. To keep the word of God is to imprison them in our hearts and minds. Don’t let them go. Guard them with our lives.

We guard them, we observe them, we obey them, we live them. But what of the law, we are free from the law. So how can we be free from law and yet still have commandments to obey? Are they not the same, commandments and law?

We saw how the law has two facets, a do or do not do, and a punishment for transgression. And we have seen that it is no more an external law but an internal law of the desires of the heart. But here we have commandments. Here we have a way of life laid out in print. And there is not a punishment for not transgressing his commandments.

If we do not keep his commandments then we are still under the law and the law contains the punishment. Do you see it? Jesus said if we keep his commandments, his words, then He will make his abode with us and justify us and free us from the law. So when we keep his words we are free from the law. Then, conversely, when we reject his words, any of his words, we are guilty under the law.

So then we need to receive Him. Have we received him? How do we know we have received him? How do we know we are justified?

Jesus said by their fruits ye shall know them. So what are the fruits? What was the sign of the spirit, the sign that the 120 were told by Jesus to watch for at Pentecost? The sign was Power. How does that power manifest? What is the fruit of that vine?

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions heresies 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they with do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith 23 meekness, temperance: against which there is not law.

See, the law is brought in because of transgressions, because of the work of the flesh, and the law condemns those works and assigns a punishment to them. But the fruit of the spirit aren’t transgressions so there is no law concerning them. So when we receive the spirit of God then we are free from works of the flesh and thus the law concerning those works, being justified by faith in Jesus Christ.

A little note here that I hope doesn’t concern anyone reading here. The word witchcraft doesn’t mean black magic here, it is from the Greek word pharmakeia which means drug user. It means a Drug user of any kind. We are not talking medicines we are talking recreational or addicted drug user. We are talking about cigarette smokers. It refers to marijuana smokers. It is pointing out heroin, MMDA, Cocaine, etc etc users. They are different words but all the same meaning. Paul says if you smoke you will NOT inherit the kingdom of God because you are still under the law as a transgressor of the law and will be judged by the law.

So get free from the works of the flesh today. Jesus Christ bled and died to set you free from those things. Accept him and his sacrifice today. Throw those things out of your life and be saved in Christ. Throw them in the garbage and go to your knees in prayer for strength to overcome, for faith to be delivered and he will give it to you because he promised it. God cannot lie. God cannot fail.

Why can we not live in the works of the flesh and be saved? Because the sprit and the flesh are contrary to each other and the works of the flesh are the very transgressions that the law was added for. We cannot serve God and mammon.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and you members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness.

It says here to whom (personal pronoun) we yield ourselves to obey Him (personal pronoun) we serve. If we obey the spirit of God, THEN we are justified by faith and free from the law. But if we yield to sin and the spirit of the world, to the flesh, then we are not justified and still under the law and will be judged accordingly.

And it is not just a matter of doing the acts anymore. We saw earlier that it is a matter of WANTING to do them, of consciously desiring them. Now we are all tempted, that is for sure, and tempted in our weakness and in our flesh. The difference is in what we DECIDE to do about it. A battle rages in the mind of every Christian, the greatest battle ever fought. And the thoughts in our minds during this battle are not sin, they are temptations TO sin. They arise out of our flesh, and out of our weakness.

So what is the difference? When does our fleshly lusts, which we all have and will have until the rapture changes our bodies, when does it become sin? When is it a transgression? When is it the fruit of the flesh? The thoughts are the seed and a seed must germinate and grow to bear fruit. So then when does the seed of sin that the devil is trying to plant become the fruit of the flesh and sin?

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man way when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be temped with evil, neither tempted he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

So the temptation is not sin but a blessing! That is hard to believe and I think most will reread that line because they will think they read it wrong the first time. The temptations are a blessing. The Bible says so. We are blessed when we endure temptation.

The fight in our minds, the evil thoughts that come up, the war we have with the devil on a daily basis, is a blessing to us IF we are overcomers. For when we are tried we receive a crown of life. But when do these trials become a sin, a transgression? When we let them conceive, when we make the decision that we want consciously to do them. It is not just having the desire in our flesh, that is the battle, but when we decide that yes I want to do that. That is when we become wilfull sinners. When we decide that even though we know the Word says not to do it, even though our schoolmaster says it is a transgression, we decide that we want to do it anyway. Then we let the thoughts enter our hearts.

It is at this point that sin conceives in us and bears the fruit in time. Remember Jesus said if a man looks at a woman to lust after her. A healthy man cannot look at a beautiful naked woman without being affected. But that isn’t sin. It is when he decides that he wants to keep looking and lusting, when the spirit says turn away and he thinks in his mind, NO, I like it and I am going to do it, that is when the sin conceives in his heart.

The devil will tell you that “oh you got tempted by this or that and you sinned and are lost”. That is a lie! The temptations are there to prove us, to try us, so that we may receive a crown. We just read that when we are tempted it is a BLESSING to us. The temptations are a blessing to us. It is when we yield to the temptation that we are doing wrong. And pay close attention here. This is a very important point. The devil will only tell you that you are wrong when you are right. And he will only tell you that you are right when you are wrong.

Did you get that? The devil will only tell you that you are lost when you are saved. If you are saved he will never point out your fault to you, he’ll point it out to everyone else, but never to you because he knows once you see your fault that you will repent and be free from it being justified by Jesus Christ. Do you see it?

He will try to get you to compromise on the word. He will try to get you to believe his interpretation where he explains away scripture. He will play with your pride by praising you to try to get you to be proud and steal God’s glory. And he will use your pride by insulting and attacking you to try to get you to step out from the word and defend yourself. And the big one here, he will try and convince you that you sinned a sin beyond salvation, that you are serpent’s seed, that you have gone too far. He will only tell you that when it is a lie because he is a liar. And he will only tell you that when it is not true because-

SATAN IS ONLY AT WAR WITH THE SAINTS!

Did you get that? The devil is only at war with the saints. His battle is with the predestinated children of God. He will never say those things to the lost. He is trying to convince you of his lie by telling you that you are lost. But the Bible says that “all those who cry out in the name of the Lord shall be saved”. The Bible says that “he will never leave us or forsake us”. Is that Bible? Then what the devil says must be a lie.

He will also tell you that you are saved when you are not. He will tell you that what I have said up here today is bunk and not worth the effort to listen to. He is looking to destroy you. If he can’t destroy you completely he at least wants to make you a foolish virgin. He will tell you that you are fine when you are not. And he will tell you that you are lost and unsavable when you are already saved and justified by Jesus Christ.

That devil is cagey and sly but the Bible shows us his colours. Remember the spirit of God shows you your wrongs AND the way to repentance. The law, the schoolmaster is there to lead us the Christ. Is that what we read? The law shows us what transgressions are, and leads us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Amen? So when your mind and thoughts show you that you are wrong and going into judgment with no hope, then that is not God doing it. God shows you your wrongs and leads you to repentance and takes the guilt away.

God doesn’t tell you that you are hopelessly lost, he tells you that he has saved you and that he wants you to repent and come back to him. The one telling you that you are lost and beyond hope is the devil. And he is a liar. He always was a liar and always will be a liar. Don’t believe a word of it. There certainly will be a time when it will be too late to repent, but don’t think the devil will remind you of that. He wants to convince you to give up, to believe that you are too bad, too evil, too weak, too sinful to be saved. DON”T BELIEVE IT!

The law is our schoolmaster which shows us what transgressions are that we may come repenting to Christ and receive Jesus and be justified by Christ in faith. The law, the Bible, shows us that we are wrong so that we might have cause to repent and come to Christ. The Law shows us our faults so that we might make them right. The law shows us our weakness so that we may seek the strength of Jesus Christ. The law shows us our unrighteousness so that we may seek to be covered in the robes of His righteousness. The law shows us our sin so that we may wash it in the blood of the lamb. The law shows us judgment that we may find grace.

Fight the fight. Put on the whole armour of God. Give NO place to the devil. Make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof. Don’t allow your fleshly lusts to conceive sin. Get into Christ. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the Holy Spirit. It is for you. It is God’s promise to you. Get out from under the law and under the all sufficient umbrella of grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The door is still open, He is still on the mercy seat, the fountain is open deep and wide to wash away all your sin, all your iniquity and make you a new creation in Christ Jesus the Lord. Get everything under the blood Jesus Christ. Let the schoolmaster show you what is wrong that you might make it right. Examine the rule of the schoolmaster that you might be led to Christ and justified by faith in him.

There is no other salvation, nor any other name given where we can find salvation. Jesus Christ alone, in him dwells the fullness of the godhead bodily.

The Bible goes on to say that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst men. Jesus Christ is the word of God made flesh. The Bible is Jesus Christ, the word of God, in print. Paul says to change a word, even if you were an angel from heaven, you get you cursed. We must accept the whole word of God, the entire Bible, exactly as it is written with no interpretations or changes. Our doctrine must hold true from Genesis to Revelation. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. His word will never change.

Look into the perfect law of liberty today and let it lead you to the one salvation, the one true God and eternal life, the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is the healer of all of our diseases. He forgives all of your transgressions. Accept him as your Lord and savior. Repent and be baptized in his name and come out from under the bondage of the law today.

In Jesus Christ’s blessed and Holy Name. AMEN.

God’s Provided Way

“God’s provided way”

St. John 13:21 Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

May the Lord add His blessing to the reading of His word.

I have a very important topic here. So for a text let us look at the idea of “Receiving”. And not just receiving in general but doing it by God’s provided way. I trust the Lord will open our eyes tonight, and take away the tiredness that we may receive the message on receiving.

Many things in the word are a chain reaction where one thing leads unto the next. That is the case here. And we also find with these things, that they are mutually exclusive. In other words if you have one, you automatically do not have the other. In mathematics they use a term IFF. I-F-F, which means if and only if. It is true for out topic. Jesus tells us that IFF we receive whom he sends then we will receive him, and IFF we receive him we will receive him that sent him.

A little background here. Sometimes we think of these things as milk because we heard them so long ago. Or sometimes the scriptures seem so familiar to us we forget that the riches of God are bottomless. No matter how many times we revisit a scripture, the Lord God will always have something new in it for us. Remember the manna, you had to eat the fresh stuff every day. So to with this heavenly manna, we have to turn to God every day for a fresh revelation on His word. This next scripture is a very familiar scripture to most, but let us re-examine it for a moment.

St. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness on the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own receiveth him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So we see here that the author is speaking of Jesus Christ, the “only begotten of the Father”. It says that in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the Word WAS GOD! Not a second person, not a third person, not another person, but God himself. And again in the 14th verse it tells us that the Word of God, which is God, was made flesh and dwelt amongst us as the only begotten of the father.

See not three gods in one, but one god in three. The Trinitarians have it backwards. One God, fulfilling three jobs. That is the Mystery of the Godhead we spoke of last time.

Who met Moses as the pillar of fire? God, the great I am. Who met Paul in the pillar of fire 1500 years later? Jesus. Remember Jesus said to the Pharisees, before Abraham was I AM? Who is the great I AM? God. Look at what Isaiah spoke of Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The prince of peace.

There is nothing to interpret. Isaiah plainly tells us who the messiah was. It was God himself in flesh. That is hard to take when you have been told the opposite for years but it is Bible and it is the absolute truth. Thus saith the lord “ His name shall be called ‘the mighty god, the everlasting father’”. No way around it. Either the Bible is right or it isn’t. As for me and my house, we will stick with the Bible. Amen?

And we need that bit of background for our scripture. Jesus said in order to receive God, you would first have to receive him, and in order to receive him, you would have to receive the person whom he sent. This background ties the first two neatly together.

Remember we just read that Jesus Christ is the word of God made flesh. So if we receive Jesus Christ we are receiving the word of God, and if we are receiving the word of God we then must be receiving Jesus Christ for the two are one and the same.

And in order to receive God, we must first receive his word, which is Jesus Christ, which is God. So God is in his word, for he is his word. Every word in this Bible is God. If we reject a word from this Bible, then we are rejecting Jesus Christ, and in so doing we are rejecting God, for the word, Jesus Christ and God are one and the same.

We cannot have one without the other! Let me repeat that. We cannot have one without the other! We can only receive of the Lord through God’s provided way.

If we do not have Jesus Christ then we do not have God the Father. If we do not have this blessed word then we do not have Jesus Christ. If we reject, disbelieve, disobey this word of God then we are rejecting Jesus Christ and Rejecting God. This milk has a few lumps in it.

Jesus said we do not live by bread alone but by every word which proceedeth from the mouth of the father. Every single word! The whole Bible! If we are to live, then we must receive the whole Bible. To reject one word of it is to reject all of it. Lets have a look.

James 2: 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Guilty of all? That is what the Bible says. To reject one word from that holy book is to completely reject Jesus Christ, and to completely reject the Holy Spirit of God that dwelled in him. We have to believe the whole word, and in order to believe the whole word of God, our flesh must be mortified. Flesh and blood cannot receive the word of God, it comes by the Holy Spirit of God only.

We must have the word and only the word of God. We cannot add to it, we cannot take from it, we cannot interpret it. That is a surprise to many for that is what the churches have been doing for years.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

There is no private interpretation allowed for any scriptures. Take the scripture, the Bible, exactly as it is written. Do not add, do not take away and do not change it. There is a grave danger for anyone who does.

Galatians 1: 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Chris. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have receive, let him be accursed.

Do you see the responsibility that comes with this pulpit? Anyone who wants to be a preacher really does not know what it means to be a preacher. Those of us who do it, do so because it burns inside of us.

Do you see now why without the whole, unadulterated, unchanged, unperverted, uninterpreted word of God we simply cannot receive the Lord God? Jesus Christ is the living word of God and any change to this gospel makes it not the word of God anymore. Anyone and everyone who changes this gospel is accursed. That’s not my word, that is Bible.

So how can we be Christians, how can we call ourselves children of God, without the Lord God and his word? Impossible. Do you see how silly it is now? How can a church, a minister, a man preach a dogma which is contrary to the written word of God and call itself a Christian church when the Apostle Paul says that organization is accursed for doing it? How can a church institute rules and regulations and behaviours that are contrary to the Word of God and call themselves Christians? It is absurd, yet it is done all the time and everywhere.

They have changed baptism. They have introduced trinity. They have woman preachers now. Homosexuals in the pulpits now. Smokers, thieves, adulterers, liars. And the list goes on and on and on. And it is all completely contrary to the Bible yet they not only behave this way, they preach this behavior as being righteous. They act totally contrary to the word of God, they believe dogmas and creeds that are completely contrary to the word of God and they teach those things contrary to the word of God. They have rejected God’s provided way. So is God with them? Can the Lord bless this behaviour without being a hypocrite?

Revelation 3: 20 Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me.

Where is Jesus Christ, the word of God, today? He is outside of the church! He is knocking and trying to get back in! But he is not trying to get back into organizations and denominations. He has been pushed out. They have pushed out the word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, in favour of creeds, and dogmas, and philosophy, and science so called, and Apostle’s creeds, and Nicene councils etc. They have no room for the Bible anymore. They have no room for Jesus in their lives or their organizations.

And as we read, without the Word, Jesus Christ, we cannot have God the Father. No Bible equals NO GOD! If we do not come by God’s Provided Way, then we cannot come to him at all.

So then how can we get the true word of God? How can we receive Jesus Christ? We must receive the one whom he sent.

Romans 10: 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher: 15 And who shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things. 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

“Sent”. Preachers must be sent. God will send men as they are needed. He will send the man of his own choice at exactly the right time. And if you read the Bible you will find that he never sends the eloquent speakers, he never sends the highly educated, he never sends the ones men would send. In every age he sends a messenger with a message, and that message will always be the word of God. If it is not “thus saith the Lord” line upon line, precept upon precept, word upon word with this Bible, have nothing to do with it. If it is, then receive it. God has five different ministries which he exercises from the pulpit.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, Apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

There are exactly five ministries that he sends. He picks men of his own choosing, anoints them with his holy spirit, and send them out as preachers. And he always picks that which is least to bring to naught that which is. The ones that Jesus sends will preach only this blessed word of God for the hour. They will not add, they will not take away, they will not interpret. They will be on the word, line by line, precept by precept, word by word for the Holy Ghost will tell them what to say. That is God’s Provided Way.

When a man is preaching under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he is God’s mouthpiece. He is no longer speaking his own words, he is speaking the word of God. When we reject that speaker we will reject his words too, and if he is sent by Jesus Christ, the words he is speaking are the word of God, which is Jesus Christ. Is that clear? To reject the man that the Lord God sends to bring you his word, is to flatly reject the Lord Jesus Christ.

If we reject the God sent preacher, we will reject the word of God, which is Jesus Christ and in so doing reject God. Pretty simple, yet very hard for some to understand.

1 Corinthians 1: 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 for it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 for after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom know not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

God chose to use preaching to save us. He is totally preeminent. He is in charge and his decisions are binding on all. He could have chose any number of ways to save us. He could have sent angels to each of us. He could have appeared in the pillar of fire to every Christian. He could have sent our dead relatives back to us. He could have chosen any number of ways but he chose preaching. Souls are saved by preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When Jesus sends a man to preach, and you receive his preaching, you are receiving the word of God which is Jesus Christ and thereby you receive God. Jesus said “my words are spirit and life.”  And how does a God sent preacher preach the word of God? Exactly according to the Bible.

God doesn’t pick the wise, he doesn’t pick, the educated, the doesn’t want people with university degrees in theology, doctor’s of divinity, the wise and the disputer of the world. God wants a simple man who will do what he is told. Just look at the scriptures at who God picked. Noah. Elisha. John the Baptist. Peter. Overwhelmingly God chose those with little or no education of the world and the few educated men he picked, he first had to beat it out of them. Moses took 40 years to get the wisdom of Egypt out of him. Paul had to be blinded. And look what Paul said of his Bible school seminary education.

Philippians 3: 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them by dung, that I may win Christ.

Dung! You know what that means. That is what he counted his Bible school education. His Masters of Divinity degree was “dung”. His PhD in Religion was “dung”. He got so educated that he was persecuting the very God whom he thought he was worshipping. He knew the letter of the scriptures by heart but did not know the spirit of them. He was never preached to by a God sent preacher! He never heard the revealed word of God for the hour, and as such was drawn away by a denomination and was persecuting the true church of Jesus Christ. He was the most zealous man in Israel for God and all the while an enemy to God because of the doctrines that were preached to him.

To receive God we must receive Jesus Christ which is the word of God. To receive the word of God, we must receive the man whom Jesus sent to preach the word of God. When the Lord sent Noah with a message, all who rejected Noah and his message were lost forever. When the Lord sent Moses, all who rejected Moses and his message were lost forever. The same goes for Amos, Ezekiel, Luther, Wesley, Martin, Branham, Paul, Peter, John etc etc etc. That is God’s Provided Way for us. We must receive Jesus Christ and we must receive those whom he has sent. That is God’s provided way for us, for all of us, there are no exceptions.

Do you want to know what character in a man to look for in a God sent preacher? Look in the Bible. Who he picked then, he will pick now. Look at Peter. Look at John the Baptist. Look at Elijah. Look at Micah. Look at Amos. Look at Noah. Look at Ezekiel. What common threads do you see with those men? You will see that in the God sent preachers today.

What is being preached to you? Is it the word of God? Do you check it with your Bible? Who is preaching? Did God send him? Are you rejecting him? Are you rejecting his message? Are you receiving him? It is as dangerous to receive a man that the Lord did not send, as it is to reject a man that the Lord did send. Remember, Eve received the preaching of the serpent.

If a God sent man is preaching to us and we reject his message then we are rejecting Jesus Christ. If a man is preaching on his own and we receive his message, which is contrary to the Bible, then we are rejecting Christ as well. It is truly a tightrope we must walk. That is why the Bible says to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. That is why the Bible says that in our day the false prophets will be so close to the true as to deceive the very elect if it were possible. But it is not possible. The elect will check the word of the preacher with the word of God.

What did you hear this morning? What did you hear this evening? Did you check it with the word? Was it the word of God? If so accept it and receive eternal life.

Did what you heard appeal to your flesh or your soul? Did it cut you? Did it correct you?

The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. The only way to receive Jesus Christ is to receive the revealed word of God. We cannot have one without the other. God’s word runs in continuity, to break this would break the entire word of God and make God a liar. The Holy Spirit, which is God, cannot say or do or move anyone to say or do anything that is contrary to the word of God. If it is not perfectly aligned with this Bible, it is not of God. Period. It doesn’t matter how good is sounds, how good it looks, how good it feels, how politically correct it is, how psychologically sound it seems, how many degrees the person saying it has, if it is not exactly Bible, it is not of God. Remember that.

There are two ways, one is hard and narrow, and that is the way to life and that is the word of God. The other is easy, and wide, and leads to damnation and that is the word of man. The word of man will appeal to the flesh, it will appeal to your emotions. It will be wise, intelligent and logical. But it will kill you.

God is in his word and he has sent men to preach that word to lead us to him.  When we receive the revealed word of God for the hour, we receive Jesus Christ and thereby we receive God himself into us. Those words will be hard to hear. They will convict our flesh. They will break our hearts to repentance. They will correct us. Jesus Christ is standing at the door and knocking right now. He is not at the door of your church, he is at the door of your heart. Will you receive him?

Receive the Lord Jesus Christ. Receive him by his word and his spirit. Receive him today. Jesus said “I am the truth, the life, and the way”. He is God’s provided way. The revealed word of God for the hour, is God’s provided way, for it is the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Come to the Lord through God’s Provided Way.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day: What do you remember?

The Lord of Glory
The Lord of Glory, Jesus Christ

Romans 5: 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

We were all sinners, condemned to die. Every soul born of a woman, and even those who were not (Adam and Eve), with the one exception of the Lord Jesus Christ, were sinners. Moses was a sinner. John the Baptist was a sinner. Peter was a sinner. We were born in sin, conceived in iniquity, coming into the world speaking lies. We were guilty. Which of us could stand before a Holy God and give an account for the things of our lives? Which of us can boldly say that every deed, every though, every action, every word, every emotion, every  intention was perfect, righteous and holy?

We needed a redeemer, and not just any redeemer, but a kinsman redeemer. The Lord God Jehovah left his throne in glory and poured the fullness of himself into the virgin born man Jesus Christ. He lived for 33 years upon this earth as a man. He worked as you and I do. Then in his ministry he healed the sick, he raised the dead, he cleansed the lepers, made the blind to see and the deaf to hear and preached the gospel to the poor.

Yet do we remember Him today?

He was our general. He was also a foot soldier. he came and he ministered to us. We have had many soldiers come before us, and when we are under the blood covenant of Jesus Christ, we are soldiers of the Cross too. Some great soldiers have laid their lives down for us too. Paul, Peter, James, Stephen… the list goes on. Verily 68,000,000 Christians were slaughtered for their testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. They died for Him, and died for us.

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Our battle is a different kind of battle than the ones being celebrated today. The world today is celebrating wars fought be men against men, by countries against countries, where men were sent to die for their national interests. These men were indeed noble. They laid down their lives, ostensibly for you and me. That was their intent, and we will honor that intent.

But the battle in which we as Christians are engaged is a far different battle than the world fights. The battlefield for this war is in the human mind. Here is where the greatest battle ever fought is pitched. It is in the human mind that the Kingdom of God is both attacked, and defended. This is where the Word of God and the Lies of Satan meet in battle. That is why our armour is a Spiritual armour. And our weapon is a Spiritual weapon.

2 Timothy 2: 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

It is because our war is spiritual that we must concentrate on spiritual things and leave off of carnal things. It is not a physical war, neither indeed is it an emotional war.

We were given five senses to contact the physical world: hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, and smelling. We also have emotional senses such as memory, passion and imagination. But none of these are spiritual. There is only one spiritual sense. We have been given only one channel in which we can reach the Lord God. That sense is Faith.

Faith is the Sixth Sense.

It is only through faith that we can contact and receive from the Lord. Even salvation itself, is given by grace and received by Faith. The weapon the devil uses to attack Faith is unbelief. In fact the only real sin is unbelief. All else we do, we do because we do not believe in the first place.

2 Corinthians 10: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Concentrate therefore, on the things of the spirit. The devil will use the flesh and the carnal things of the flesh and of the mind to deceive us, and to distract us from the true battle we are facing. When we get distracted, when we lose sight of the battle, then we will lose. So don’t concern yourselves so much with this world for we are not of this world, and neither is our Kingdom.

John 18: 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

If our King is not of this world, and our Kingdom is not of this world, then we are not of this world either. That is why we turn the other cheek. That is why the wars that the nations fight are not our wars. That is why our Remembrance Day is not the same Remembrance Day the world celebrates. So as Soldiers of the Cross we should be able to end our days as Paul of old did. We need the same testimony.

2 Timothy 4: For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Are you fighting the good fight today? Fight! And remember, your fight is not of this world Saints. Your kingdom, your King, your Saviour, your General, your battle is a spiritual one. Don’t entangle yourself with the things of this world. And remember the battle that set you free. The battle at Gethsemane. Remember how the Lord Jesus Christ sweated blood for you. Remember the battle of Calvary where the bled and died for you. We remember the last supper where our Lord took the bread and the wine and gave us the pattern that we are to follow.

That is what Christians remember. That is our Remembrance Day.

1 Corinthians 11:  23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

Christ Crucified for You
Christ Crucified for You

Discern the body of Jesus Christ. You are all members of the Body of Jesus Christ for his Bride is blood of his blood, bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, life of his life. His flesh was broken for You. His holy blood was shed for You. He was wounded for Your transgressions. He was bruised for Your iniquities. By his stripes, You were healed.

Remember Him!

We Walk by Faith

We Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

The notes to the sermon I ministered on Sunday. The Lord led me to say so much more than what is written here, as I minister for well over two hours on this topic, but the notes should get the point across.

2 Corinthians 5: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Walking on waterWe don’t walk by sight. We don’t walk by understanding. We don’t walk by education. We don’t walk by tradition. We don’t walk be creed. We walk by faith.

What is faith?

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is a substance. Substance, from the Greek word hypostasis, meaning the essence, the trust, the underlying foundation. Faith is the thing upon which hope is built. Hope in itself is powerless. The world has hope. But it does not trust in that hope. The world knows there is no future in empty hope. People hope to win a lottery. They hope to live to be 100. But deep down they know it will not happen. They have no faith.

If we have faith, we have the essence, the underlying strength and foundation of hope. We have the earnest, the proof. Faith is not some esoteric concept. It is a genuine, spiritual entity. Our faith is the very evidence of that which we hope for. What we hope for exists, and our faith in it is the proof of that existence, for our faith in the Word of God is real.

Our hope is grounded by our faith.

2 Thessalonians 3: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

Some men do not have faith. This is an important concept. If some men do not have faith, then that brings up some questions we need to answer.

  1. Why do they not have faith?
  2. Did they ever have faith?
  3. How do we get faith?
  4. Can we get faith?
  5. Can we lose faith?

1 Timothy 4: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

So we see that the men who do not have faith have actually departed from faith. If they departed from it then they must have first had it. There are three questions answered. But let’s make sure.

Romans 12: For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

So indeed all men are given faith. The Lord has given to “every man” a measure of faith. That means Cain had a measure of faith. Judas had a measure of faith. You have a measure of faith. I have a measure of faith. Or at least at some point in time, every man had a measure of faith. But we see that we can lose that faith if we depart from it. So we can lose it, but we have to make the decision to lose it. What kind of decision would make us lose faith? How did Cain lose faith?

Matthew 25: 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Lord went away. And the Lord gave to every man a measure of faith. That is what a talent is, a measure. And the Lord meted that measure according to the man’s ability. The Bible says that we will not be tempted greater than what we are able to bear and that the Lord will always make a way of escape. We get a measure of faith based on our ability to deal with it. To some he gave great mountain moving faith, to others, just a mustard seed of mountain moving faith.

Here we get another question answered. Some of the men took their talents and put them to work and gained more talents in return. If we put our faith to work, if we invest it properly, we will get more measures in return. So how do we put our faith to work? There are three ways.

Romans 10: 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The very first place to invest our faith is in hearing the word of God. Not hearing the words of man. Not in hearing a lecture. Not in hearing philosophy, or psychology, or creed, or dogma, or tradition, or stories. The first place to invest our faith, the place that will give us the greatest and quickest return on our investment, it to apply that faith to hearing the Word of God, the Revealed Word of God for the Hour. That is where you will gain faith. That is where you will double your measure. Hear the word of God!

Hebrews 4: For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Unto us was the word of God preached. Unto them was the word of God preached. But it must be mixed with faith! We can sit and listen to preaching, we can sit at Jesus feet day and night for three and a half years, listen to him preach the word, and it would not profit us one bit if we do not invest our measure of faith into it. Judas is our prime example.

But in our age, look  how many have fallen away lately. They sat with us. They fellowshipped at our houses. They were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. They took the bread and wine at the Lord’s table! They sat and listened to preaching. They listened to tapes and can quote those tapes better than you and I combined. Some were even preaching this message! And they fell away! They are gone out into the world. They are gone out into denominationalism and trinitarianism. They have received the Mark of the Beast and don’t even know it! They are spiritually dead never to return! And it is all because when they heard the word of the Lord God, when they heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, when they heard the message of the hour, it was not mixed with faith! They failed to invest that measure of faith.

They have nobody to blame. They were given a measure of faith! Every single one of them was given a measure of faith, a talent of faith by the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know how big a talent is? A talent of silver is 6,000 day’s pay. A talent of Gold is 180,000 day’s pay. The Lord was not cheap with them, nor with us. Every soul here was given at least one talent, some five talents, some ten talents.

What are you doing with that talent? Are you investing it? Or are you burying it?

The second way to invest your faith is to live it. Act upon God’s word. It is one thing to believe, it is quite another to live it.

James 2: 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Faith without works is dead. Many will say that salvation is of faith and not of works. Amen! And they will also say, correctly that works don’t bring salvation. And again they will say that works don’t bring faith. Amen! But Faith will bring Works! If we truly believe and apply our measure of faith to that which we believe, that which we have heard of the Lord, then our faith will bring works in our lives.

John 10: 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

John 10: 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Jesus himself tells us plainly that we can know who he is by his works. His works show his faith. His works show who and what he is. And again he tells us:

Matthew 7: 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

By our fruit, by our works, we are known. We are not knows by our doctrines. We are not known by our testimonies. We are known by our fruit. We are known by our lives! Our works tell the whole world who and what we are, just as they told the whole world who and what Jesus was. The prophet once said I can’t hear your testimony because your life is speaking way too loud! Your works, my works, they tell the entire world who we are. As James wrote, with my works I show you my faith. Faith brings works. Without works our faith is dead for the fruit of the spirit is the works of the spirit. If a tree is dead, it does not bear fruit. If our faith is dead, there will be no works of faith in our lives.

Let us take a nice Biblical example to vet this out. Abraham. Everyone knows his story to some degree. He was an old man. The Lord came to him and made him a promise to give him a land and innumerable children etcetera. Now Abraham believed God. He absolutely believe the Word of God, the message of his hour. But what good would that have done him to believe and not put it to work? Believing was great. But it was when he mixed it with faith and put it into action that he received the promise.

Abraham could have believed every word and not acted upon it. We just read that the devils believe, and they certainly don’t act upon it. And Abraham, or Abram because the name change was part of the promise, would have died a childless, vagrant in the land of Ur.

Continuing on with James.

James 2: 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Abraham believed every Word. Abraham mixed that word he heard with faith and it produced works. The works were the evidence that he had faith in what he had heard. What are our works?

The third way to invest our faith is to build upon it. Faith is the substance and the evidence. It is also the foundation. We absolutely need faith before we can move on spiritually. If we don’t have faith, we just read, it does not profit us one bit.

2 Peter 1: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Faith is the foundation stone. All these other things are added to our faith. When we invest faith in our lives, in the word of God, in serving the Lord, we will add virtue to that faith. Then when virtue forms on our faith, we add knowledge, and then temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and finally Agape Love.

This is preaching to the saved! Notice Peter says if we fail at this it is because we have forgotten that we were purged from our old sins. Those who fail at this are foolish virgins. They have faith, they are purged, but they fail to add to the faith. Faith is just the beginning!

So we see that we must have faith. We see that we were all given a measure of faith. We see that we can lose our faith if we depart from it. We see that hearing the word of God gives us more faith if we mix that word we hear with faith. We see that faith in the word will bring the works, or the fruit of the spirit. And we see that if we don’t have the fruit, it is a sign that our faith is dead and buried, like the man with only one talent. We see also that faith is the evidence of things not seen, the essence of our hope.

So now let us go a step deeper. What exactly is faith and how exactly does it work?

Solomon's Temple
Solomon’s Temple. Outer and Inner Courts guarding the Holiest of Holies.

The human being is a triune creature. We have a body, a soul and a spirit. We are living temples of the Lord God. The temple has an outer court, and inner court, and a holy of holies.

We connect with this physical world through five senses. That is our outer court. They are hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting and smelling. With these five sense we connect to the third dimension. We see someone in front of us. We hear them speak. We feel their handshake. That is the outside. We receive information from the outer court of our being through those five channels. And we can’t depend on them. They are outer. The devil will use those against us every time. Oh I feel sick. Oh it looks horrible. Oh it sounds terrible, or sweet, which ever way the devil is trying to trick you. Those are outer court events. Pain, sickness, hunger, are all outer court events. God does not deal through your outer court.

We have five senses that deal with our emotional realm. Conscience, memory, passion, affection, imagination are the senses of the inner court of your being. They can be just as easily tricked. They deal with the mind, the soul of the man. That is the inner court. You don’t imagine with the flesh. You don’t have affections in the flesh. Those are inside of you.

But then we get to the altar. We get beyond the veil. We get to the heart of the man. The veil hangs between the holy and the Holiest of Holies. Inside there is where the spirit of the Living God wants to dwell. Inside there is where Christ comes to sit on the mercy seat.

That is where Christianity is seated. We don’t become Christians in the outer court. We don’t become Christians in the flesh by attending Church service. We don’t become Christians by shaking hands. We don’t become Christians by reciting creeds. We don’t become Christians by speaking in tongues. Those are outer court events.

Nor do we become Christians by believing. We don’t become Christians by accepting creeds, or dogmas. We do not become Christians by believing the message. That’ll sting. Who believes and trembles? The devil! And he ain’t no Christian! Those are inner court events! Those are Old Testament events. Christ doesn’t dwell there! He is the High Priest! He has gone beyond the veil and sits in the Holiest of Holies.

1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Does it say by one doctrine? Does it say by one denomination? Does it say by one preacher? Does it say by one organization? NO! By one spirit we are all baptized into one body! By one Spirit. By the Holy Spirit! When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ comes and takes his seat in the Holiest of Holies. He breaks open the veil of our heart and takes his rightful position on the throne.

And how do we get that? It is to whomsoever will. All we have to do is want it, and apply our faith to the word that we hear. Act upon it in faith. When we hear Acts 2:38-39 that tells us to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, we mix that word with the measure of faith that we were given and the fruit of the spirit, the act of water baptism takes place. We believe, we apply faith, and the Lord responds. Repent! Tear down the veil of your heart and let him in! Tear down the curtains of your own will and give place to the King of Kings in your heart! Apply your faith!

Then the Lord Jesus Christ will sit on the judgment seat in your heart. I knew a woman, nominal Christian, Pentecostal type. When she heard the message she rejected it. Then met some guy and got into an adulterous relationship with him. I ran into her a few months after that had happened and she said it didn’t bother her one bit to do it. Why didn’t bother her? Christ was not sitting on the judgment seat in her heart! It was empty.

When Jesus takes that place, you become a different person. Your flesh tells you to go do something you used to do, and something in your heart condemns you. You can’t do it now. That something is the Holy Spirit of God, the Spirit of Jesus Christ enthroned in you.

But if you live like the devil on Saturday, and sing like an angel on Sunday, and it don’t bother you one bit, then I would wager that Christ simply isn’t in you yet. You might be purged of your old sins. But that judge has not taken his seat. Jesus Christ is missing.

But when Jesus is there you have a sacrifice on the altar. You have a place to go. You have a representation in Heaven. You have a mediator. You have an intercessor. You have a kinsmen redeemer who shed his own blood for your sins. You have a high priest in the Holiest of Holies. And you die daily for it is not you living any more, it is Jesus Christ the Lord of Glory living in you. You are a wild branch that has been grafted into the vine. His life in you bears the fruit. The works that he did will you do also because he is in you working through you.

Faith is the sixth sense. It is independent of all the others. We cannot see faith, nor hear it. Nor can we imagine it. It is completely independent. It is in the domain of the Holiest of Holies. The five senses were given us to contact the physical world. The five emotional senses were given us to control the mind. But Faith, that was given to touch the Soul, that is the only channel that the Lord God uses. Sure you will see visions. You will hear the Word. But without being mixed with Faith, it will not profit us. Balaam saw visions.

We either have faith, or doubt. Faith will contact the Holy Spirit. Doubt will block that contact. Doubt is unbelief. Doubt block the channel to God and thus separates us from God. What separates us from God? Sin.

Hebrews 11: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The only sin is unbelief! Without faith it does not matter what we say or do, we cannot please the Lord God. All our best intentions, all our righteous acts, all our loving, compassionate deeds, all the schools and hospitals we build, all the prisoners we visit, all the sick we attend, all the missions we go on, all the money we tithe and offer, all the children we love, will not and cannot please the Lord unless it is done in faith.

Everything else is an attribute of sin. Why did that woman I mentioned enter into that relationship? Why did it not bother her? Unbelief! Had she believed then she would never have done it, and if she did, she would have repented. But it did not bother her because she had no faith. And she had no faith because she departed from the faith and rejected the Lord.

Take Eve for an example. What was her sin? We would say adultery, but we know that adultery is an attribute of sin. Eve, like the woman I mentioned, did that because she did not believe. She heard the message of the hour preached to her by Adam, but that word was not mixed with faith. Before she ever touched the serpent, before she could believe his lie, she first had to disbelieve the word of God. It is the same for us today. Before you commit that act, before you accept a lie, you must first disbelieve the word of God.

Romans 14: 23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Without Faith as we just read it is impossible to please the Lord. So now we see it in its full light. There it is. Sin is unbelief. Sin is the absence of faith. So if we build schools, churches and hospitals, if we donate to missions, no matter what we do, or how we do it, if it is not done in faith it is sin.

Brother are you saying it is sinful to build a hospital to help the sick? No I am not saying that, God is saying that. Whatsoever we do without faith is sin! If we come to church without faith, it is sin. If we sing a special without faith, it is sin. If we take the Lord’s supper without faith, it is sin. Whatsoever is not of faith, is sin! Jesus said so himself.

Matthew 7: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

We sin when we depart from the faith. After we sin, then we commit the acts that we call sin. When we act without faith, it is sin, and our actions will be iniquity unto the Lord.

Let’s look at a carnal example to see where sin starts.

Imagine you go to your friend’s house. You sit on his couch and you notice a $20 bill in the cushion. You quickly look around and see that nobody is watching and you pocket that bill. That is theft. But what was the actual sin and when did it occur? You would have had to first disbelieve that the Lord was watching and taking notes. You would have had to then disbelieve that while you were doing it and thinking nobody was watching, that the Lord could have been showing the whole event to you buddy in a vision in the next room. You would also have to disbelieve that the payment that you would pay would be far greater than $20.

So when did the sin really happen? Was it the Sunday before when the preacher was pounding against sin and you thought, “maybe, Maybe not”. Was it on Monday when you had a tape on and the prophet said something so bizarre you couldn’t understand it so you passed it off? You plant an apple seed and harvest seven years later. Sin is the same. The seed of unbelief must be planted, and grow and then it bears fruits. By our fruits they will know us! And it does not matter how religious we are, without faith, it is all sin.

Yet, where there is faith, there is thus no sin.

1 John 3: Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Whosoever is born of God, whosoever is born again, whosoever is filled with the Holy Spirit, does not commit sin. Whosoever is born of God does not commit, unbelief! We will make mistakes till the day we leave this world. We will trip and fall daily, somehow, somewhere. That is why we die daily. But we do not commit SIN! We do not disbelieve the Word of God! Sin is unbelief. Unbelief is the opposite of Faith. When we disbelieve the word of God, then we do all those things of our flesh. Smoking, gambling etc are not sins, they are the fruit of sin. But the spirit behind those actions is unbelief. The real sin is the unbelief that leads us to act that way.

That is why all those who did what we would call good works, building hospitals, churches etc, without faith, did it all in sin. That is why the Lord called all their great and wonderful works, iniquity. Who is Timothy talking about  here?

2 Timothy 3: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

They are religious. They have a form, a tradition, a creed, a doctrine of godliness, yet without faith. All their godliness is iniquity. Their very religion is sin! Faith is not a tradition. Faith is not a doctrine. Faith is not logic. Faith is not understanding. Faith is not intellectual. Faith is not physical. Faith is not emotional. Faith is spiritual! Faith does not require intelligence. Faith does not require an education. Faith does not require time.

John 6: 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Did Peter or the other 11 have a clue of what Jesus was talking about here? There were just as mystified as the 70 that just turned and left. They were completely clueless. They had no intellectual understanding of it. They were not educated to it. They did not have time to make it a tradition. But they believed it. They had faith. They had no understanding of it, but they still had faith in that word. And they confessed their faith.

Faith is solely in the domain of the soul, in the Holiest of Holies. It is through faith that we contact the Lord. It is through Faith that he contacts us.

Now it is time to take the rest of Hebrews chapter 11.

Hebrews 11: By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment. 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

They without us could not be made perfect. We need that same faith. We need rapturing faith. The prophet admonished us in 1950 when he said If we haven’t got faith enough for healing of our bodies, how you going to go in the rapture? ‘Cause this mortal must take on immortality”
50-0808 – Healing And What Sickness Is
The faith that heals us, is the faith that delivers us, is the faith that saves us, is the faith that raptures us. Get rapturing faith! Faith is the only avenue through which the Lord will deal with us. You and I cannot come to the Lord through a man, not even a prophet. We cannot do it through a church. We cannot do it through a doctrine. We cannot do it through a tradition. The one and only avenue to contact the Lord and to have him contact you, to receive anything from him is faith. And every single person was given a measure so in the end we will have no excuse.

Matthew 9: 20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

What made that woman whole? Was it because she touched his robe? Was it because he spoke to her? What made him speak to her? The thing that made him speak to her is the thing that healed her. It was not the body of Jesus Christ for we are told that he was thronged by people. She contacted him through faith, and he spoke back to her and healed her through her faith. He said it himself “thy faith hath made thee whole”.

Does anyone need to be made whole this hour? Is anyone sick, in pain, oppressed? Does anyone have a need of any kind? Ignore what you see. Ignore what you feel. Trust only in the Word of God. Touch him through Faith. Reach out and touch him. Mix your faith with this blessed word of God and touch him. Reach out in faith right now and be made whole.

Walk by FAITH!

Did Not Our Hearts Burn Within Us?

(Where Your Treasure is There is Your Heart Also)

The Road to Emmaus
The Road to Emmaus with the Lord Jesus

Luke 24: 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

May the Lord add his blessing to the reading of his word. Did not our hearts burn within us? As a quick background for those who are not familiar, and a reminder for those who are, Jesus had bled, suffered and died on the cross to purchase our salvation, and his disciples were scattered. To their knowledge, he had not yet risen. Two of his disciples left Jerusalem and were heading home and discussing amongst themselves the events that just transpired. They were quite forlorn because they believed that Jesus was the Messiah, but were of the belief, as many were in that time, that Jesus was just coming as a great King to destroy Rome and place Israel in command of the world. Jesus was speaking with these two disciples, expounding the scriptures to them to show them that everything that Jesus suffered and every event that happened to him were prophesied throughout the scriptures. While he was speaking the word of God, their hearts were burning within them.

Do you remember the first time you heard the revealed word of God preached? Do you remember the first time you listened to a message tape? Do you remember the first time someone testified to you about Jesus Christ and of the miracles, signs and wonders that they have experienced? Did your heart burn in you? Is it still burning right now? I’m going to be asking a lot of questions like that today. And I want you to be completely honest with yourself.

There is more than one way for our hearts to burn. We can burn with desire, or with condemnation. When we hear the word of God spoken through the Spirit of God, our hears will burn. One way or the other, we will burn.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Our God is a consuming fire! If our hearts will burn with desire for the word of God then that word will burn out all the sin from within us. The word will burn out our lust, our bitterness, our carnality. But if we reject that word then that same fire will consume us completely. The Word of the Lord God Jehovah will burn up the sin from the face of this earth so if we hold onto our sin then we will be consumed along with it.

Isaiah the prophet was given a vision?

Isaiah 6: 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the Seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Isaiah the prophet realized that there was nothing good in him. He was a man like we are. He was carnal and dwelling in a body of sinful flesh. When he met the Word of the Lord God his heart burned within him. The light of the word revealed to him that he needed cleansing. He cried out to God and the seraphim touched him with a fiery coal from the altar and purged his sin and iniquity.

This revealed word of God for the hour will wash away your sin right now if you will let it. It is up to you, and up to me. If we will cry out to the Lord God for a cleansing he will send his Holy Spirit to burn out every evil thing, every sin, every iniquity from within us. Do you believe it? Act on it! He will purge your heart and soul of every sin and stain. You will be sanctified by the Lord God if you will only allow it to happen. If ywe will receive the word of God it will set us completely free this morning.

Ephesians 5: 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

We are cleansed by washing of water of the word. It is not anything we do, or anything we say. Our righteousness is filthy rags before the Lord. As we sit here reading the word of God, not my words, but God’s word, it washes you. Did you know that? You can listen to a man’s word all day and it will either do nothing or make your worse, but when you listen to the word of God you are listening to a living word, a powerful word, an overcoming word. As you hear and receive the word of the Lord God, it will wash you, cleanse you, set you free, give you faith and take away every spot and wrinkle from you. The Word of God, remember, is Jesus Christ. The word of God cleanses you! Hearing this word makes you clean. Receiving God’s word, is receiving Jesus Christ, and prepares you for the rapture! But it will only make you clean if your heart burns for it!

We have very few people today that burn for the Lord. Nobody is on fire for Christ anymore. We have waxed cold. We have become complacent. We are at the last of the seven church ages, the Laodician age. The Bible tells us that the Laodician church is lukewarm. The Bible tells us in Isaiah that the world is darkness and the people gross darkness. There is a light in the world, and Jesus Christ is that light, but the world has rejected him. We find in the book of Revelation that the church has too. And the Lord God hates it. How many know that scripture?

Revelation 3: 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

This is not the world he is speaking to. This is not the denominations he is speaking to. They are the ones in gross darkness. He is speaking to the church! He is addressing the called out ones. This warning is for the “message” people! The believers are lukewarm today! We have been sent a message from God with signs wonders and miracles through a vindicated prophet to prepare a bride for the rapture, and we have become lukewarm about it! We are becoming the foolish virgins. We barely have our lamps lit today. When was the last time you testified to a stranger about Jesus Christ? When was the last time you invited someone to come here to church and hear the word of God? When was the last time you praised God with all the volume your voice can muster?

dusty-bible-read-meWe barely have time to come to church ourselves anymore let alone inviting other people. We are too busy with work, or this or that or ten million other reasons to skip church. We come less and less and when we actually do come we sleep more! Is your heart burning inside you? Do you think those two on the road to Emmaus fell asleep while Jesus was talking to them? They walked all day to Emmaus, stopped for dinner and when the recognized who Jesus was, they didn’t even finish dinner. They immediately got up and ran back to Jerusalem. I looked it up, and it was over 19 miles each way. They walked all day nearly 20 miles, stopped for a bite, and then quickly got up and walked another 20 miles all night to get back. Did their hearts burn in them? Do our hearts burn?

Today we don’t have the energy to drive back to church in the evening after we finish our lunch. We don’t have time to come on Wednesdays. We don’t have time to read our Bibles. We don’t have time to pray. We don’t have time to wait on God. We don’t have time to testify. We don’t have time to fellowship with the Saints.

How can we expect to be raptured when we don’t have time to be raptured? If the rapture comes Sunday morning during regular church service and we could not be bothered to come to church that morning, ask yourself where you will be. No time to come to the house of God. No time for Jesus. Will Jesus have time for us? God said he will spew us out of his mouth.

Get of fire for God! We haven’t got enough spark left to say amen in church. Where is our fire? What is going on in our hearts?

It’s lamp trimming time. And if you have not yet accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, now is the time. Not five minutes from now, not next week, not on Sunday. NOW! Five minutes from now could very well be too late. Verily some will read this after it is too late. Think about that. Have you not been watching the signs of the times? Pressure is building and Los Angeles is getting ready to sink. The economy is in a titter ready to collapse. Russia has made a move for oil. Iran is building an atomic bomb. Every country able is going nuclear. Israel is surrounded. Everything is in place for the end of the end and the church is complacent.

We must see ourselves in the word. It is our spiritual mirror. Looking into the word of God will show us exactly where we stand with the Lord God. Where do you see yourself this morning? Is it where you want to be? The Lord Jesus Christ can change it for you in a moment if you will let him. Do you want fire in your heart? Cry out for it and you will get it.

Matthew 13: 18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and anon with joy receives it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Can you see yourself in this parable? It all depends on the condition of our hearts when we hear the word. Look at the two men heading to Emmaus. Can you see them in this parable? They surely were the good ground for the word sprang up in them and they bore fruit unto it. You and I are in this parable, as is every man, woman and child on earth. Where do you identify in it? Which ground is your heart?

If your heart is cold this morning, your thoughts are not on the word or you just don’t like what you are reading, then you will straightway forget what you read. You will get nothing out of reading this. If someone asks you what I wrote on when you get outside, you probably won’t be able to answer. It can happen that quickly. I’ve seen it. I have sat through a hour and a half of wonderful preaching and when we got outside the church I asked a man what was preached, what the scriptures were, what the topic was and he could not answer a single question. The devil stole the word out of his mind before he made it to the door. Yet let me tell you something brothers and sisters, that man will be called on to answer for every word that he heard. Our God is a consuming fire.

If your heart burns for the riches of the world then those riches will choke out the word from you. You will be afraid to trust in God, to trust in his word, to trust in anything but vain riches. You will not have a testimony for fear that standing upon the word of God and having a public testimony will cost you money or popularity. Your job will be more valuable to you than the Word of God.

If your heart is just smoldering a little, then you will hear the word while you are here among other Christians, but once you get out into the cold world, you will not have the strength to stand on that word. You will be a wandering star, a cloud without water tossed by every wind and wave of doctrine. When you are with the Baptists you will be a Baptist. When you are with the Pentecostals you will be a Pentecostal. When you are with the message people you will be a message believer. When you are with the drunks, you will get drunk. Smoldering and lukewarm and good for nothing but to be a stumbling block to others.

But if we can get our hearts set of fire for God. Oh what a difference that will be! We will bring forth fruit 30 fold, 60 fold, 100 fold. Get the fire of the Lord God burning inside of you! Fire burns on oil, and oil is the Holy Spirit. Remember the 10 virgins. They all had lamps but the fire went out on the foolish virgins. The reason that the foolish virgins have no fire is that they have no oil. They have a lamp and that lamp did once burn. But the oil they were burning was an anointing, not a filling. We can be anointed by the Spirit of God, and not filled for the rain will fall on the weeds as well as the wheat.

Matthew 25: 1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Our lamps have gone out! I am speaking to the Saints of God. The born again Christians have lamps, testimonies. Too many repented and were baptized but never went on to get filled. Why? They were lied to. They were told it is enough to get baptized, it is enough to believe the message. But what did the prophet tell us? We have to LIVE the message. And now we have no fire! They started to beg of others for the Holy Spirit but it was too late for them. They are saved. They are sinless. They will receive eternal life, but they missed out. They were called but not chosen. By the time they got enough spark in them to seek the oil the rapture had come and gone. Don’t miss it! If you are not burning on fire right now then cry out to God right now for oil so that your heart can be set on fire for Christ. We need a revival. Each and every one of us needs a Holy Ghost revival!

Did you ever wonder how the foolish virgins got lukewarm, how the church got lukewarm? There must be a reason. Something must have made it that way.

Matthew 24: 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Many false prophets arise and iniquity abounds and the love, the fire, goes cold. First the false prophets, the false teachers, the ones the Bible says have itching ears, come and bring damnable heresies and that leads the people away from the word into a life of iniquity. They compromise on the Word, make excuses for human errors, explain away scriptures and squeeze the blood out of the Word. They do wrong according to the Bible, they explain it away, and do not care anymore. We have it in the message too. We have preachers telling everyone that they are just fine and ready for the rapture and it has driven the fire from the hearts of the people. We are not fine! We are in a most miserable state indeed if we think we are fine. Paul said to work out your salvation with fear and trembling! That takes fire!

If you are working out your salvation with fear and trembling this morning then you will be hanging on every word I wrote hoping to hear an anointed message from the Holy Spirit that will bring you one more step closer to Christ. If you have already waxed cold from iniquity then you will be checking your watch hoping I finish soon so you can go somewhere else. Or maybe that person has already shut down their computer long ago or started surfing the net for other things.

But how did we let it happen? It is our fault. We let it happen. We were warned thousands of years ago and here it is happening. The scripture is being fulfilled in your very midst. How did we let the false prophets in? How did we as an anointed, called out people, allow such coldness into our lives? We took our eyes off the Word and put them on idols!

Matthew 6: 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

We stopped looking to the word and started looking to man. We stopped laying up treasures in heaven and started laying up treasures on earth. We stopped looking at the message and started to look to the messenger. We have stopped preaching the message and started quoting it instead. We don’t preach the message, we just print books and quote books. To top it off we are getting rich in the process. Preachers making hundreds of thousands of dollars and driving expensive European luxury cars when the prophet they point to refused to take a Cadillac as a gift.

That spirit has caught the people too. Continually skipping church to go make money. Turning church into money. When they actually go to church it is so that they can do business with the people there and make more money. Defrauding the people and stealing from them and calling themselves Christians. Selling products out of the church. It is all corrupt. Soon they will start selling indulgences too. You cannot serve God and mammon. Where is your treasure? Where is your heart? Where is your eye?

We just read it. Where are you looking? Whatever you are looking for, there is your eye, there is your treasure and there is your heart. If we are looking to Christ then we are looking to the light and our eyes will be full of light and our hearts will be full of fire. If we are looking to riches of this world, whether it be money, status, politics, popularity or a modern ecumenical move in the guise of the message, then we are looking to darkness. The Bible says that the world is a darkness and the people a gross darkness. Where are you looking? Are we laying up treasures in heaven? Is there still light in your eye or are we a gross darkness?

2 Kings 5: 21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well? 22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. 23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him. 24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed. 25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither. 26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? 27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

Gehazi had his eye on money, on fancy garments, on oliveyards, on vineyards, on sheep, on oxen, on servants. Gehazi’s was with the prophet. He was not an unbeliever. He was not even a denominational Christian. He was in the message of the hour. Gehazi had his eye on earthly treasures instead of heavenly treasures and he reaped the reward; leprosy. Sin. Leprosy clung to him and to his entire seed forever. He was with the prophet, he heard the message, he saw the miracles, he preached the message, yet he had his eye on earthly treasures and received the reward of his iniquity forever.

Knowing the message won’t save you. Gehazi knew the message. Knowing the prophet won’t help you. Gehazi knew the prophet. He even lived with the prophet. If our heart is on earthly things then as the seed that fell among the thorns we will be choked out and our fire will go out and we will be left in total darkness. Gehazi had the message indeed, and he tried to use that message to build for himself an earthly kingdom, an earthly organization of goods and moneys and servants. He turned the grace of God into lasciviousness.

We have that in the message today too. We have Gehazis in the message today, men who were with the prophet who are now turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, quoting the message, calling on the name of the prophet and getting rich and building earthly kingdoms for themselves. God does not change. What he said then is true today. They shall reap the same reward in their day of judgment as Gehazi did in his. Their sin will cling to them and their seed forever.

So where is our treasure this morning? Search yourselves. Search your lives and you will know. Anything and everything that we put before the word of God is an idol.

Luke 18: 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

This man lived according to the law keeping the commandments. His life was so righteous it would shame most of us today. He had one problem however, his treasure was earthly. There was something that was more important to him than the Lord God. There was something in his life that he valued higher than he valued the Lord Jesus Christ. He had an idol! He could not part with his earthly treasures and he ended up in hell. His treasure was corrupt, his eye was corrupt and thus his heart was corrupt. He heart was not on fire for the Lord or his Word. The word of God to him was a consuming fire. The word of God condemned him, and instead of repenting, he rejected it. We need to be sanctified. God cannot dwell in an unclean vessel.

If we have any idols in our hearts we are not worshipping God. There are many, many idols and it only takes one idol to displace God in our hearts. We went through a few already. Money, power, popularity, dogmas, creeds, denominations, organizations, publications, and even other people can be idols. Anything that we allow to come before the Lord God in our hearts is an idol. No matter how much we pray, how much we sing, how much we go to church, how much we shout, how many tapes we listen to, how high we lift our hands, how pious our lives look, if we have idols in our hearts then we are not worshipping God. Jesus said that a true worshipper must worship God in Spirit and in truth. The word of God is the truth.

A Christmas tree for example is an idol. The Bible is the Word of God and it says do not do it and then we go and do it anyway. We put that tree before God’s word. We make that piece of wood into an idol. Let’s read that scripture to remove all doubt.

Jeremiah 10: 2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Today we have message people with Christmas trees thinking they are just fine because they give homage to a prophet and his message. It is an idol, it is contrary to the word of God and if you do it you are making an idol out of that tree. The very moment we decide that we are going to have a tree, we are in idolatry. Sin is an affair of the heart. And knowing better it is iniquity on their part and we heard earlier that it is because of iniquity that we grow cold. Can you see it? You let one little thing like this get in and displace the Word of God and it will poison your whole life. We let private creeds and dogmas take over in our lives and pretty soon we are in complete darkness. Look at Israel. How often did they let one little thing in and it poisoned the whole nation and led them off into idolatry.

We have things creeping in everywhere now. Christmas trees, makeup, remarriage. Remarriage in the message! The prophet refused to go to his own son’s wedding because it was a remarriage. Let’s put that to rest right now.

Luke 16:18 Whosoever puts away his wife, and marries another, commits adultery: and whosoever marries her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.

Those aren’t my words, those are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ himself. If you divorce your wife and remarry another woman then you are committing adultery. If you marry a divorced woman you are committing adultery. If you are divorced and you get “married”, you are committing adultery. If you marry a divorced man, you are committing adultery. Period! Someone not too long ago said that can’t be right because that would be too cruel and not fair to the people. Read Ezra chapter nine.

Jesus warned us that a little leaven will leaven the whole lump. He warned the Pharisees in Mark 7:13 that they have made the word of God none effect by teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. It is a poison! We often hear that it is better to have the right spirit and a wrong doctrine that the right doctrine and the wrong spirit. We of course hear that most from those with the wrong doctrine as an excuse for rejecting the Word of God.

Let me assure you that if you have the right spirit you won’t have the wrong doctrine for very long. When you hear the revealed word of God the Spirit of God in you will shout AMEN! If your heart is on fire for Christ then when you hear the Word of God that fire will flare up. The two on their way to Emmaus had a wrong doctrine, but when Jesus expounded the true doctrine to them, their hearts burned within them as they heard it. Read “Restoration of the Bride Tree, 1962”.

When the Pharisees heard Jesus they called him a devil. When the little girl at the well heard him she called him a prophet. Her heart was on fire! There was a spark of God put in her heart from the foundation of the world. When that spark caught the light of the gospel is set ablaze. She was looking for a living water that would satisfy her forever. That was her treasure. When she came in contact with the light she saw it immediately. She did not need to be convinced of if. Her eyes were opened and when that light shone, it had access to her heart. The Pharisees had their eyes closed. They were blinded by their own greed, and pride and lust for power.

When you first heard the revealed word of God for the hour, how did your heart react? Your presence here this morning tells me that something was lit aflame in your heart. Where is that flame today? Are you choking it out with false doctrines? Are you choking it out with the cares of the world? Are you choking it out with money lust? Or are you feeding the fire with the word of God? Feed that fire this morning. Set yourself aflame for Christ. Let the word of God burn the dross from you. Do not quench the Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit of the Lord God Jehovah work in you. Allow the fire of the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ burn in you.

The Bible likens us to metal being purified in the fire. When a silver smith wants to purify metal he puts it in the fire to heat it up. Then he hammers the metal and folds it over. Then he repeats the process over and over, hammering the metal and placing it in the fire. He knows the metal is pure when he can see his reflection in it. Jesus tries us in the fire, he folds us and hammers us with life and places us back in the fire to burn out all our dross, all our sin, all our iniquity until he can see his own reflection in our characters.

What are you reflecting right now? What is in your heart? Is your heart burning within you as you hear the Word of God? Is the Word of God burning out your dross? Let this blessed Word of God into your heart this morning and let it burn out all of your sin and iniquity, all your doubts and fears, everything of the world. This word you are reading this morning can prepare you for the rapture if you will let it.

It all depends on where your eye is. If it is on Christ right now, and on his word, that word will be doing a work on you, cleaning you, sanctifying you, washing you, filling you, folding you, until Jesus can see his own reflection in your character. If you are looking to Christ this morning, your treasure is in heaven and it is growing moment by moment as Jesus is transforming you into his very image. He is preparing you to dwell with him forever. He is preparing you to sit in his throne with him to rule forever. He is making you fit to dwell in a perfect body as his heavenly bride. He is the King of Heaven and He wants to make you his queen.

Are you happy? God left his throne in glory to come down to take upon a body just like yours. He lived, ate, slept, worked just like you do. The Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, veiled himself in a human body. He came not only to take our sin and pay the price that we could be free from sin, he also came to be a perfect example to us. He is the example of how to live, how to love, how to worship, how to believe, how to obey, how to overcome, how to speak and even how to think. He is the example for this whole world of how to live every moment of every day of our lives. He is the light of the world and it is our job to reflect that light to others through our lives. If our hearts burn within us for the Lord then his light will shine through that fire.

He has given us his word. He has revealed to us his word. He has opened the fountain deep and wide to wash away our sins with his own blood. He wants us to build treasures in heaven with him. He wants our hearts to be on fire for him. If our treasure is in heaven then we will be on fire for Christ. If our treasure is on earth then we will be lukewarm church goers.

Look at sports. Look at a soccer game. They scream at the top of their voices and jump up and down and raise their hands and dance when someone kicks a little round ball into a very large net. We have been handed eternal life, salvation, healing, and deliverance free of charge and we can barely sit and keep our eyes open for an hour. God came and lived and died for us and rose again and we can barely be heard when we pray and worship him. Where is the fire? Where is your treasure?

We have it all. We truly have it all. We are heirs to the entire planet. We are heirs to eternal life. We are heirs to reign with him in glory forever. What a glorious treasure he has given us by his grace. None of us deserve it but he has granted it to us anyway. Rejoice and again I say rejoice. We have an earnest of our inheritance right here in this life. We have divine healing! We have prophesy! We have deliverance! We have signs and wonders! We have the very God of heaven, the pillar of fire, right here in our midst! Jesus Christ himself is standing here in the pillar of fire waiting for us to ask of him that he may give us all that our hearts desire.

He is more willing to give then we are to receive. Get of fire for Christ!

The fire of the Lord Jesus Christ burning in my soul! Let it burn in yours.

May the Lord God richly bless you.
