Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day: What do you remember?

The Lord of Glory
The Lord of Glory, Jesus Christ

Romans 5: 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

We were all sinners, condemned to die. Every soul born of a woman, and even those who were not (Adam and Eve), with the one exception of the Lord Jesus Christ, were sinners. Moses was a sinner. John the Baptist was a sinner. Peter was a sinner. We were born in sin, conceived in iniquity, coming into the world speaking lies. We were guilty. Which of us could stand before a Holy God and give an account for the things of our lives? Which of us can boldly say that every deed, every though, every action, every word, every emotion, every  intention was perfect, righteous and holy?

We needed a redeemer, and not just any redeemer, but a kinsman redeemer. The Lord God Jehovah left his throne in glory and poured the fullness of himself into the virgin born man Jesus Christ. He lived for 33 years upon this earth as a man. He worked as you and I do. Then in his ministry he healed the sick, he raised the dead, he cleansed the lepers, made the blind to see and the deaf to hear and preached the gospel to the poor.

Yet do we remember Him today?

He was our general. He was also a foot soldier. he came and he ministered to us. We have had many soldiers come before us, and when we are under the blood covenant of Jesus Christ, we are soldiers of the Cross too. Some great soldiers have laid their lives down for us too. Paul, Peter, James, Stephen… the list goes on. Verily 68,000,000 Christians were slaughtered for their testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. They died for Him, and died for us.

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Our battle is a different kind of battle than the ones being celebrated today. The world today is celebrating wars fought be men against men, by countries against countries, where men were sent to die for their national interests. These men were indeed noble. They laid down their lives, ostensibly for you and me. That was their intent, and we will honor that intent.

But the battle in which we as Christians are engaged is a far different battle than the world fights. The battlefield for this war is in the human mind. Here is where the greatest battle ever fought is pitched. It is in the human mind that the Kingdom of God is both attacked, and defended. This is where the Word of God and the Lies of Satan meet in battle. That is why our armour is a Spiritual armour. And our weapon is a Spiritual weapon.

2 Timothy 2: 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

It is because our war is spiritual that we must concentrate on spiritual things and leave off of carnal things. It is not a physical war, neither indeed is it an emotional war.

We were given five senses to contact the physical world: hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, and smelling. We also have emotional senses such as memory, passion and imagination. But none of these are spiritual. There is only one spiritual sense. We have been given only one channel in which we can reach the Lord God. That sense is Faith.

Faith is the Sixth Sense.

It is only through faith that we can contact and receive from the Lord. Even salvation itself, is given by grace and received by Faith. The weapon the devil uses to attack Faith is unbelief. In fact the only real sin is unbelief. All else we do, we do because we do not believe in the first place.

2 Corinthians 10: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Concentrate therefore, on the things of the spirit. The devil will use the flesh and the carnal things of the flesh and of the mind to deceive us, and to distract us from the true battle we are facing. When we get distracted, when we lose sight of the battle, then we will lose. So don’t concern yourselves so much with this world for we are not of this world, and neither is our Kingdom.

John 18: 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

If our King is not of this world, and our Kingdom is not of this world, then we are not of this world either. That is why we turn the other cheek. That is why the wars that the nations fight are not our wars. That is why our Remembrance Day is not the same Remembrance Day the world celebrates. So as Soldiers of the Cross we should be able to end our days as Paul of old did. We need the same testimony.

2 Timothy 4: For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Are you fighting the good fight today? Fight! And remember, your fight is not of this world Saints. Your kingdom, your King, your Saviour, your General, your battle is a spiritual one. Don’t entangle yourself with the things of this world. And remember the battle that set you free. The battle at Gethsemane. Remember how the Lord Jesus Christ sweated blood for you. Remember the battle of Calvary where the bled and died for you. We remember the last supper where our Lord took the bread and the wine and gave us the pattern that we are to follow.

That is what Christians remember. That is our Remembrance Day.

1 Corinthians 11:  23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

Christ Crucified for You
Christ Crucified for You

Discern the body of Jesus Christ. You are all members of the Body of Jesus Christ for his Bride is blood of his blood, bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, life of his life. His flesh was broken for You. His holy blood was shed for You. He was wounded for Your transgressions. He was bruised for Your iniquities. By his stripes, You were healed.

Remember Him!

We Walk by Faith

We Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

The notes to the sermon I ministered on Sunday. The Lord led me to say so much more than what is written here, as I minister for well over two hours on this topic, but the notes should get the point across.

2 Corinthians 5: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Walking on waterWe don’t walk by sight. We don’t walk by understanding. We don’t walk by education. We don’t walk by tradition. We don’t walk be creed. We walk by faith.

What is faith?

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is a substance. Substance, from the Greek word hypostasis, meaning the essence, the trust, the underlying foundation. Faith is the thing upon which hope is built. Hope in itself is powerless. The world has hope. But it does not trust in that hope. The world knows there is no future in empty hope. People hope to win a lottery. They hope to live to be 100. But deep down they know it will not happen. They have no faith.

If we have faith, we have the essence, the underlying strength and foundation of hope. We have the earnest, the proof. Faith is not some esoteric concept. It is a genuine, spiritual entity. Our faith is the very evidence of that which we hope for. What we hope for exists, and our faith in it is the proof of that existence, for our faith in the Word of God is real.

Our hope is grounded by our faith.

2 Thessalonians 3: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

Some men do not have faith. This is an important concept. If some men do not have faith, then that brings up some questions we need to answer.

  1. Why do they not have faith?
  2. Did they ever have faith?
  3. How do we get faith?
  4. Can we get faith?
  5. Can we lose faith?

1 Timothy 4: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

So we see that the men who do not have faith have actually departed from faith. If they departed from it then they must have first had it. There are three questions answered. But let’s make sure.

Romans 12: For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

So indeed all men are given faith. The Lord has given to “every man” a measure of faith. That means Cain had a measure of faith. Judas had a measure of faith. You have a measure of faith. I have a measure of faith. Or at least at some point in time, every man had a measure of faith. But we see that we can lose that faith if we depart from it. So we can lose it, but we have to make the decision to lose it. What kind of decision would make us lose faith? How did Cain lose faith?

Matthew 25: 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Lord went away. And the Lord gave to every man a measure of faith. That is what a talent is, a measure. And the Lord meted that measure according to the man’s ability. The Bible says that we will not be tempted greater than what we are able to bear and that the Lord will always make a way of escape. We get a measure of faith based on our ability to deal with it. To some he gave great mountain moving faith, to others, just a mustard seed of mountain moving faith.

Here we get another question answered. Some of the men took their talents and put them to work and gained more talents in return. If we put our faith to work, if we invest it properly, we will get more measures in return. So how do we put our faith to work? There are three ways.

Romans 10: 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The very first place to invest our faith is in hearing the word of God. Not hearing the words of man. Not in hearing a lecture. Not in hearing philosophy, or psychology, or creed, or dogma, or tradition, or stories. The first place to invest our faith, the place that will give us the greatest and quickest return on our investment, it to apply that faith to hearing the Word of God, the Revealed Word of God for the Hour. That is where you will gain faith. That is where you will double your measure. Hear the word of God!

Hebrews 4: For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Unto us was the word of God preached. Unto them was the word of God preached. But it must be mixed with faith! We can sit and listen to preaching, we can sit at Jesus feet day and night for three and a half years, listen to him preach the word, and it would not profit us one bit if we do not invest our measure of faith into it. Judas is our prime example.

But in our age, look  how many have fallen away lately. They sat with us. They fellowshipped at our houses. They were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. They took the bread and wine at the Lord’s table! They sat and listened to preaching. They listened to tapes and can quote those tapes better than you and I combined. Some were even preaching this message! And they fell away! They are gone out into the world. They are gone out into denominationalism and trinitarianism. They have received the Mark of the Beast and don’t even know it! They are spiritually dead never to return! And it is all because when they heard the word of the Lord God, when they heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, when they heard the message of the hour, it was not mixed with faith! They failed to invest that measure of faith.

They have nobody to blame. They were given a measure of faith! Every single one of them was given a measure of faith, a talent of faith by the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know how big a talent is? A talent of silver is 6,000 day’s pay. A talent of Gold is 180,000 day’s pay. The Lord was not cheap with them, nor with us. Every soul here was given at least one talent, some five talents, some ten talents.

What are you doing with that talent? Are you investing it? Or are you burying it?

The second way to invest your faith is to live it. Act upon God’s word. It is one thing to believe, it is quite another to live it.

James 2: 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Faith without works is dead. Many will say that salvation is of faith and not of works. Amen! And they will also say, correctly that works don’t bring salvation. And again they will say that works don’t bring faith. Amen! But Faith will bring Works! If we truly believe and apply our measure of faith to that which we believe, that which we have heard of the Lord, then our faith will bring works in our lives.

John 10: 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

John 10: 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Jesus himself tells us plainly that we can know who he is by his works. His works show his faith. His works show who and what he is. And again he tells us:

Matthew 7: 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

By our fruit, by our works, we are known. We are not knows by our doctrines. We are not known by our testimonies. We are known by our fruit. We are known by our lives! Our works tell the whole world who and what we are, just as they told the whole world who and what Jesus was. The prophet once said I can’t hear your testimony because your life is speaking way too loud! Your works, my works, they tell the entire world who we are. As James wrote, with my works I show you my faith. Faith brings works. Without works our faith is dead for the fruit of the spirit is the works of the spirit. If a tree is dead, it does not bear fruit. If our faith is dead, there will be no works of faith in our lives.

Let us take a nice Biblical example to vet this out. Abraham. Everyone knows his story to some degree. He was an old man. The Lord came to him and made him a promise to give him a land and innumerable children etcetera. Now Abraham believed God. He absolutely believe the Word of God, the message of his hour. But what good would that have done him to believe and not put it to work? Believing was great. But it was when he mixed it with faith and put it into action that he received the promise.

Abraham could have believed every word and not acted upon it. We just read that the devils believe, and they certainly don’t act upon it. And Abraham, or Abram because the name change was part of the promise, would have died a childless, vagrant in the land of Ur.

Continuing on with James.

James 2: 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Abraham believed every Word. Abraham mixed that word he heard with faith and it produced works. The works were the evidence that he had faith in what he had heard. What are our works?

The third way to invest our faith is to build upon it. Faith is the substance and the evidence. It is also the foundation. We absolutely need faith before we can move on spiritually. If we don’t have faith, we just read, it does not profit us one bit.

2 Peter 1: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Faith is the foundation stone. All these other things are added to our faith. When we invest faith in our lives, in the word of God, in serving the Lord, we will add virtue to that faith. Then when virtue forms on our faith, we add knowledge, and then temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and finally Agape Love.

This is preaching to the saved! Notice Peter says if we fail at this it is because we have forgotten that we were purged from our old sins. Those who fail at this are foolish virgins. They have faith, they are purged, but they fail to add to the faith. Faith is just the beginning!

So we see that we must have faith. We see that we were all given a measure of faith. We see that we can lose our faith if we depart from it. We see that hearing the word of God gives us more faith if we mix that word we hear with faith. We see that faith in the word will bring the works, or the fruit of the spirit. And we see that if we don’t have the fruit, it is a sign that our faith is dead and buried, like the man with only one talent. We see also that faith is the evidence of things not seen, the essence of our hope.

So now let us go a step deeper. What exactly is faith and how exactly does it work?

Solomon's Temple
Solomon’s Temple. Outer and Inner Courts guarding the Holiest of Holies.

The human being is a triune creature. We have a body, a soul and a spirit. We are living temples of the Lord God. The temple has an outer court, and inner court, and a holy of holies.

We connect with this physical world through five senses. That is our outer court. They are hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting and smelling. With these five sense we connect to the third dimension. We see someone in front of us. We hear them speak. We feel their handshake. That is the outside. We receive information from the outer court of our being through those five channels. And we can’t depend on them. They are outer. The devil will use those against us every time. Oh I feel sick. Oh it looks horrible. Oh it sounds terrible, or sweet, which ever way the devil is trying to trick you. Those are outer court events. Pain, sickness, hunger, are all outer court events. God does not deal through your outer court.

We have five senses that deal with our emotional realm. Conscience, memory, passion, affection, imagination are the senses of the inner court of your being. They can be just as easily tricked. They deal with the mind, the soul of the man. That is the inner court. You don’t imagine with the flesh. You don’t have affections in the flesh. Those are inside of you.

But then we get to the altar. We get beyond the veil. We get to the heart of the man. The veil hangs between the holy and the Holiest of Holies. Inside there is where the spirit of the Living God wants to dwell. Inside there is where Christ comes to sit on the mercy seat.

That is where Christianity is seated. We don’t become Christians in the outer court. We don’t become Christians in the flesh by attending Church service. We don’t become Christians by shaking hands. We don’t become Christians by reciting creeds. We don’t become Christians by speaking in tongues. Those are outer court events.

Nor do we become Christians by believing. We don’t become Christians by accepting creeds, or dogmas. We do not become Christians by believing the message. That’ll sting. Who believes and trembles? The devil! And he ain’t no Christian! Those are inner court events! Those are Old Testament events. Christ doesn’t dwell there! He is the High Priest! He has gone beyond the veil and sits in the Holiest of Holies.

1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Does it say by one doctrine? Does it say by one denomination? Does it say by one preacher? Does it say by one organization? NO! By one spirit we are all baptized into one body! By one Spirit. By the Holy Spirit! When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ comes and takes his seat in the Holiest of Holies. He breaks open the veil of our heart and takes his rightful position on the throne.

And how do we get that? It is to whomsoever will. All we have to do is want it, and apply our faith to the word that we hear. Act upon it in faith. When we hear Acts 2:38-39 that tells us to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, we mix that word with the measure of faith that we were given and the fruit of the spirit, the act of water baptism takes place. We believe, we apply faith, and the Lord responds. Repent! Tear down the veil of your heart and let him in! Tear down the curtains of your own will and give place to the King of Kings in your heart! Apply your faith!

Then the Lord Jesus Christ will sit on the judgment seat in your heart. I knew a woman, nominal Christian, Pentecostal type. When she heard the message she rejected it. Then met some guy and got into an adulterous relationship with him. I ran into her a few months after that had happened and she said it didn’t bother her one bit to do it. Why didn’t bother her? Christ was not sitting on the judgment seat in her heart! It was empty.

When Jesus takes that place, you become a different person. Your flesh tells you to go do something you used to do, and something in your heart condemns you. You can’t do it now. That something is the Holy Spirit of God, the Spirit of Jesus Christ enthroned in you.

But if you live like the devil on Saturday, and sing like an angel on Sunday, and it don’t bother you one bit, then I would wager that Christ simply isn’t in you yet. You might be purged of your old sins. But that judge has not taken his seat. Jesus Christ is missing.

But when Jesus is there you have a sacrifice on the altar. You have a place to go. You have a representation in Heaven. You have a mediator. You have an intercessor. You have a kinsmen redeemer who shed his own blood for your sins. You have a high priest in the Holiest of Holies. And you die daily for it is not you living any more, it is Jesus Christ the Lord of Glory living in you. You are a wild branch that has been grafted into the vine. His life in you bears the fruit. The works that he did will you do also because he is in you working through you.

Faith is the sixth sense. It is independent of all the others. We cannot see faith, nor hear it. Nor can we imagine it. It is completely independent. It is in the domain of the Holiest of Holies. The five senses were given us to contact the physical world. The five emotional senses were given us to control the mind. But Faith, that was given to touch the Soul, that is the only channel that the Lord God uses. Sure you will see visions. You will hear the Word. But without being mixed with Faith, it will not profit us. Balaam saw visions.

We either have faith, or doubt. Faith will contact the Holy Spirit. Doubt will block that contact. Doubt is unbelief. Doubt block the channel to God and thus separates us from God. What separates us from God? Sin.

Hebrews 11: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The only sin is unbelief! Without faith it does not matter what we say or do, we cannot please the Lord God. All our best intentions, all our righteous acts, all our loving, compassionate deeds, all the schools and hospitals we build, all the prisoners we visit, all the sick we attend, all the missions we go on, all the money we tithe and offer, all the children we love, will not and cannot please the Lord unless it is done in faith.

Everything else is an attribute of sin. Why did that woman I mentioned enter into that relationship? Why did it not bother her? Unbelief! Had she believed then she would never have done it, and if she did, she would have repented. But it did not bother her because she had no faith. And she had no faith because she departed from the faith and rejected the Lord.

Take Eve for an example. What was her sin? We would say adultery, but we know that adultery is an attribute of sin. Eve, like the woman I mentioned, did that because she did not believe. She heard the message of the hour preached to her by Adam, but that word was not mixed with faith. Before she ever touched the serpent, before she could believe his lie, she first had to disbelieve the word of God. It is the same for us today. Before you commit that act, before you accept a lie, you must first disbelieve the word of God.

Romans 14: 23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Without Faith as we just read it is impossible to please the Lord. So now we see it in its full light. There it is. Sin is unbelief. Sin is the absence of faith. So if we build schools, churches and hospitals, if we donate to missions, no matter what we do, or how we do it, if it is not done in faith it is sin.

Brother are you saying it is sinful to build a hospital to help the sick? No I am not saying that, God is saying that. Whatsoever we do without faith is sin! If we come to church without faith, it is sin. If we sing a special without faith, it is sin. If we take the Lord’s supper without faith, it is sin. Whatsoever is not of faith, is sin! Jesus said so himself.

Matthew 7: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

We sin when we depart from the faith. After we sin, then we commit the acts that we call sin. When we act without faith, it is sin, and our actions will be iniquity unto the Lord.

Let’s look at a carnal example to see where sin starts.

Imagine you go to your friend’s house. You sit on his couch and you notice a $20 bill in the cushion. You quickly look around and see that nobody is watching and you pocket that bill. That is theft. But what was the actual sin and when did it occur? You would have had to first disbelieve that the Lord was watching and taking notes. You would have had to then disbelieve that while you were doing it and thinking nobody was watching, that the Lord could have been showing the whole event to you buddy in a vision in the next room. You would also have to disbelieve that the payment that you would pay would be far greater than $20.

So when did the sin really happen? Was it the Sunday before when the preacher was pounding against sin and you thought, “maybe, Maybe not”. Was it on Monday when you had a tape on and the prophet said something so bizarre you couldn’t understand it so you passed it off? You plant an apple seed and harvest seven years later. Sin is the same. The seed of unbelief must be planted, and grow and then it bears fruits. By our fruits they will know us! And it does not matter how religious we are, without faith, it is all sin.

Yet, where there is faith, there is thus no sin.

1 John 3: Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Whosoever is born of God, whosoever is born again, whosoever is filled with the Holy Spirit, does not commit sin. Whosoever is born of God does not commit, unbelief! We will make mistakes till the day we leave this world. We will trip and fall daily, somehow, somewhere. That is why we die daily. But we do not commit SIN! We do not disbelieve the Word of God! Sin is unbelief. Unbelief is the opposite of Faith. When we disbelieve the word of God, then we do all those things of our flesh. Smoking, gambling etc are not sins, they are the fruit of sin. But the spirit behind those actions is unbelief. The real sin is the unbelief that leads us to act that way.

That is why all those who did what we would call good works, building hospitals, churches etc, without faith, did it all in sin. That is why the Lord called all their great and wonderful works, iniquity. Who is Timothy talking about  here?

2 Timothy 3: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

They are religious. They have a form, a tradition, a creed, a doctrine of godliness, yet without faith. All their godliness is iniquity. Their very religion is sin! Faith is not a tradition. Faith is not a doctrine. Faith is not logic. Faith is not understanding. Faith is not intellectual. Faith is not physical. Faith is not emotional. Faith is spiritual! Faith does not require intelligence. Faith does not require an education. Faith does not require time.

John 6: 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Did Peter or the other 11 have a clue of what Jesus was talking about here? There were just as mystified as the 70 that just turned and left. They were completely clueless. They had no intellectual understanding of it. They were not educated to it. They did not have time to make it a tradition. But they believed it. They had faith. They had no understanding of it, but they still had faith in that word. And they confessed their faith.

Faith is solely in the domain of the soul, in the Holiest of Holies. It is through faith that we contact the Lord. It is through Faith that he contacts us.

Now it is time to take the rest of Hebrews chapter 11.

Hebrews 11: By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment. 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

They without us could not be made perfect. We need that same faith. We need rapturing faith. The prophet admonished us in 1950 when he said If we haven’t got faith enough for healing of our bodies, how you going to go in the rapture? ‘Cause this mortal must take on immortality”
50-0808 – Healing And What Sickness Is
The faith that heals us, is the faith that delivers us, is the faith that saves us, is the faith that raptures us. Get rapturing faith! Faith is the only avenue through which the Lord will deal with us. You and I cannot come to the Lord through a man, not even a prophet. We cannot do it through a church. We cannot do it through a doctrine. We cannot do it through a tradition. The one and only avenue to contact the Lord and to have him contact you, to receive anything from him is faith. And every single person was given a measure so in the end we will have no excuse.

Matthew 9: 20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

What made that woman whole? Was it because she touched his robe? Was it because he spoke to her? What made him speak to her? The thing that made him speak to her is the thing that healed her. It was not the body of Jesus Christ for we are told that he was thronged by people. She contacted him through faith, and he spoke back to her and healed her through her faith. He said it himself “thy faith hath made thee whole”.

Does anyone need to be made whole this hour? Is anyone sick, in pain, oppressed? Does anyone have a need of any kind? Ignore what you see. Ignore what you feel. Trust only in the Word of God. Touch him through Faith. Reach out and touch him. Mix your faith with this blessed word of God and touch him. Reach out in faith right now and be made whole.

Walk by FAITH!

Did Not Our Hearts Burn Within Us?

(Where Your Treasure is There is Your Heart Also)

The Road to Emmaus
The Road to Emmaus with the Lord Jesus

Luke 24: 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

May the Lord add his blessing to the reading of his word. Did not our hearts burn within us? As a quick background for those who are not familiar, and a reminder for those who are, Jesus had bled, suffered and died on the cross to purchase our salvation, and his disciples were scattered. To their knowledge, he had not yet risen. Two of his disciples left Jerusalem and were heading home and discussing amongst themselves the events that just transpired. They were quite forlorn because they believed that Jesus was the Messiah, but were of the belief, as many were in that time, that Jesus was just coming as a great King to destroy Rome and place Israel in command of the world. Jesus was speaking with these two disciples, expounding the scriptures to them to show them that everything that Jesus suffered and every event that happened to him were prophesied throughout the scriptures. While he was speaking the word of God, their hearts were burning within them.

Do you remember the first time you heard the revealed word of God preached? Do you remember the first time you listened to a message tape? Do you remember the first time someone testified to you about Jesus Christ and of the miracles, signs and wonders that they have experienced? Did your heart burn in you? Is it still burning right now? I’m going to be asking a lot of questions like that today. And I want you to be completely honest with yourself.

There is more than one way for our hearts to burn. We can burn with desire, or with condemnation. When we hear the word of God spoken through the Spirit of God, our hears will burn. One way or the other, we will burn.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Our God is a consuming fire! If our hearts will burn with desire for the word of God then that word will burn out all the sin from within us. The word will burn out our lust, our bitterness, our carnality. But if we reject that word then that same fire will consume us completely. The Word of the Lord God Jehovah will burn up the sin from the face of this earth so if we hold onto our sin then we will be consumed along with it.

Isaiah the prophet was given a vision?

Isaiah 6: 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the Seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Isaiah the prophet realized that there was nothing good in him. He was a man like we are. He was carnal and dwelling in a body of sinful flesh. When he met the Word of the Lord God his heart burned within him. The light of the word revealed to him that he needed cleansing. He cried out to God and the seraphim touched him with a fiery coal from the altar and purged his sin and iniquity.

This revealed word of God for the hour will wash away your sin right now if you will let it. It is up to you, and up to me. If we will cry out to the Lord God for a cleansing he will send his Holy Spirit to burn out every evil thing, every sin, every iniquity from within us. Do you believe it? Act on it! He will purge your heart and soul of every sin and stain. You will be sanctified by the Lord God if you will only allow it to happen. If ywe will receive the word of God it will set us completely free this morning.

Ephesians 5: 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

We are cleansed by washing of water of the word. It is not anything we do, or anything we say. Our righteousness is filthy rags before the Lord. As we sit here reading the word of God, not my words, but God’s word, it washes you. Did you know that? You can listen to a man’s word all day and it will either do nothing or make your worse, but when you listen to the word of God you are listening to a living word, a powerful word, an overcoming word. As you hear and receive the word of the Lord God, it will wash you, cleanse you, set you free, give you faith and take away every spot and wrinkle from you. The Word of God, remember, is Jesus Christ. The word of God cleanses you! Hearing this word makes you clean. Receiving God’s word, is receiving Jesus Christ, and prepares you for the rapture! But it will only make you clean if your heart burns for it!

We have very few people today that burn for the Lord. Nobody is on fire for Christ anymore. We have waxed cold. We have become complacent. We are at the last of the seven church ages, the Laodician age. The Bible tells us that the Laodician church is lukewarm. The Bible tells us in Isaiah that the world is darkness and the people gross darkness. There is a light in the world, and Jesus Christ is that light, but the world has rejected him. We find in the book of Revelation that the church has too. And the Lord God hates it. How many know that scripture?

Revelation 3: 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

This is not the world he is speaking to. This is not the denominations he is speaking to. They are the ones in gross darkness. He is speaking to the church! He is addressing the called out ones. This warning is for the “message” people! The believers are lukewarm today! We have been sent a message from God with signs wonders and miracles through a vindicated prophet to prepare a bride for the rapture, and we have become lukewarm about it! We are becoming the foolish virgins. We barely have our lamps lit today. When was the last time you testified to a stranger about Jesus Christ? When was the last time you invited someone to come here to church and hear the word of God? When was the last time you praised God with all the volume your voice can muster?

dusty-bible-read-meWe barely have time to come to church ourselves anymore let alone inviting other people. We are too busy with work, or this or that or ten million other reasons to skip church. We come less and less and when we actually do come we sleep more! Is your heart burning inside you? Do you think those two on the road to Emmaus fell asleep while Jesus was talking to them? They walked all day to Emmaus, stopped for dinner and when the recognized who Jesus was, they didn’t even finish dinner. They immediately got up and ran back to Jerusalem. I looked it up, and it was over 19 miles each way. They walked all day nearly 20 miles, stopped for a bite, and then quickly got up and walked another 20 miles all night to get back. Did their hearts burn in them? Do our hearts burn?

Today we don’t have the energy to drive back to church in the evening after we finish our lunch. We don’t have time to come on Wednesdays. We don’t have time to read our Bibles. We don’t have time to pray. We don’t have time to wait on God. We don’t have time to testify. We don’t have time to fellowship with the Saints.

How can we expect to be raptured when we don’t have time to be raptured? If the rapture comes Sunday morning during regular church service and we could not be bothered to come to church that morning, ask yourself where you will be. No time to come to the house of God. No time for Jesus. Will Jesus have time for us? God said he will spew us out of his mouth.

Get of fire for God! We haven’t got enough spark left to say amen in church. Where is our fire? What is going on in our hearts?

It’s lamp trimming time. And if you have not yet accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, now is the time. Not five minutes from now, not next week, not on Sunday. NOW! Five minutes from now could very well be too late. Verily some will read this after it is too late. Think about that. Have you not been watching the signs of the times? Pressure is building and Los Angeles is getting ready to sink. The economy is in a titter ready to collapse. Russia has made a move for oil. Iran is building an atomic bomb. Every country able is going nuclear. Israel is surrounded. Everything is in place for the end of the end and the church is complacent.

We must see ourselves in the word. It is our spiritual mirror. Looking into the word of God will show us exactly where we stand with the Lord God. Where do you see yourself this morning? Is it where you want to be? The Lord Jesus Christ can change it for you in a moment if you will let him. Do you want fire in your heart? Cry out for it and you will get it.

Matthew 13: 18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and anon with joy receives it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Can you see yourself in this parable? It all depends on the condition of our hearts when we hear the word. Look at the two men heading to Emmaus. Can you see them in this parable? They surely were the good ground for the word sprang up in them and they bore fruit unto it. You and I are in this parable, as is every man, woman and child on earth. Where do you identify in it? Which ground is your heart?

If your heart is cold this morning, your thoughts are not on the word or you just don’t like what you are reading, then you will straightway forget what you read. You will get nothing out of reading this. If someone asks you what I wrote on when you get outside, you probably won’t be able to answer. It can happen that quickly. I’ve seen it. I have sat through a hour and a half of wonderful preaching and when we got outside the church I asked a man what was preached, what the scriptures were, what the topic was and he could not answer a single question. The devil stole the word out of his mind before he made it to the door. Yet let me tell you something brothers and sisters, that man will be called on to answer for every word that he heard. Our God is a consuming fire.

If your heart burns for the riches of the world then those riches will choke out the word from you. You will be afraid to trust in God, to trust in his word, to trust in anything but vain riches. You will not have a testimony for fear that standing upon the word of God and having a public testimony will cost you money or popularity. Your job will be more valuable to you than the Word of God.

If your heart is just smoldering a little, then you will hear the word while you are here among other Christians, but once you get out into the cold world, you will not have the strength to stand on that word. You will be a wandering star, a cloud without water tossed by every wind and wave of doctrine. When you are with the Baptists you will be a Baptist. When you are with the Pentecostals you will be a Pentecostal. When you are with the message people you will be a message believer. When you are with the drunks, you will get drunk. Smoldering and lukewarm and good for nothing but to be a stumbling block to others.

But if we can get our hearts set of fire for God. Oh what a difference that will be! We will bring forth fruit 30 fold, 60 fold, 100 fold. Get the fire of the Lord God burning inside of you! Fire burns on oil, and oil is the Holy Spirit. Remember the 10 virgins. They all had lamps but the fire went out on the foolish virgins. The reason that the foolish virgins have no fire is that they have no oil. They have a lamp and that lamp did once burn. But the oil they were burning was an anointing, not a filling. We can be anointed by the Spirit of God, and not filled for the rain will fall on the weeds as well as the wheat.

Matthew 25: 1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Our lamps have gone out! I am speaking to the Saints of God. The born again Christians have lamps, testimonies. Too many repented and were baptized but never went on to get filled. Why? They were lied to. They were told it is enough to get baptized, it is enough to believe the message. But what did the prophet tell us? We have to LIVE the message. And now we have no fire! They started to beg of others for the Holy Spirit but it was too late for them. They are saved. They are sinless. They will receive eternal life, but they missed out. They were called but not chosen. By the time they got enough spark in them to seek the oil the rapture had come and gone. Don’t miss it! If you are not burning on fire right now then cry out to God right now for oil so that your heart can be set on fire for Christ. We need a revival. Each and every one of us needs a Holy Ghost revival!

Did you ever wonder how the foolish virgins got lukewarm, how the church got lukewarm? There must be a reason. Something must have made it that way.

Matthew 24: 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Many false prophets arise and iniquity abounds and the love, the fire, goes cold. First the false prophets, the false teachers, the ones the Bible says have itching ears, come and bring damnable heresies and that leads the people away from the word into a life of iniquity. They compromise on the Word, make excuses for human errors, explain away scriptures and squeeze the blood out of the Word. They do wrong according to the Bible, they explain it away, and do not care anymore. We have it in the message too. We have preachers telling everyone that they are just fine and ready for the rapture and it has driven the fire from the hearts of the people. We are not fine! We are in a most miserable state indeed if we think we are fine. Paul said to work out your salvation with fear and trembling! That takes fire!

If you are working out your salvation with fear and trembling this morning then you will be hanging on every word I wrote hoping to hear an anointed message from the Holy Spirit that will bring you one more step closer to Christ. If you have already waxed cold from iniquity then you will be checking your watch hoping I finish soon so you can go somewhere else. Or maybe that person has already shut down their computer long ago or started surfing the net for other things.

But how did we let it happen? It is our fault. We let it happen. We were warned thousands of years ago and here it is happening. The scripture is being fulfilled in your very midst. How did we let the false prophets in? How did we as an anointed, called out people, allow such coldness into our lives? We took our eyes off the Word and put them on idols!

Matthew 6: 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

We stopped looking to the word and started looking to man. We stopped laying up treasures in heaven and started laying up treasures on earth. We stopped looking at the message and started to look to the messenger. We have stopped preaching the message and started quoting it instead. We don’t preach the message, we just print books and quote books. To top it off we are getting rich in the process. Preachers making hundreds of thousands of dollars and driving expensive European luxury cars when the prophet they point to refused to take a Cadillac as a gift.

That spirit has caught the people too. Continually skipping church to go make money. Turning church into money. When they actually go to church it is so that they can do business with the people there and make more money. Defrauding the people and stealing from them and calling themselves Christians. Selling products out of the church. It is all corrupt. Soon they will start selling indulgences too. You cannot serve God and mammon. Where is your treasure? Where is your heart? Where is your eye?

We just read it. Where are you looking? Whatever you are looking for, there is your eye, there is your treasure and there is your heart. If we are looking to Christ then we are looking to the light and our eyes will be full of light and our hearts will be full of fire. If we are looking to riches of this world, whether it be money, status, politics, popularity or a modern ecumenical move in the guise of the message, then we are looking to darkness. The Bible says that the world is a darkness and the people a gross darkness. Where are you looking? Are we laying up treasures in heaven? Is there still light in your eye or are we a gross darkness?

2 Kings 5: 21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well? 22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. 23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him. 24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed. 25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither. 26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? 27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

Gehazi had his eye on money, on fancy garments, on oliveyards, on vineyards, on sheep, on oxen, on servants. Gehazi’s was with the prophet. He was not an unbeliever. He was not even a denominational Christian. He was in the message of the hour. Gehazi had his eye on earthly treasures instead of heavenly treasures and he reaped the reward; leprosy. Sin. Leprosy clung to him and to his entire seed forever. He was with the prophet, he heard the message, he saw the miracles, he preached the message, yet he had his eye on earthly treasures and received the reward of his iniquity forever.

Knowing the message won’t save you. Gehazi knew the message. Knowing the prophet won’t help you. Gehazi knew the prophet. He even lived with the prophet. If our heart is on earthly things then as the seed that fell among the thorns we will be choked out and our fire will go out and we will be left in total darkness. Gehazi had the message indeed, and he tried to use that message to build for himself an earthly kingdom, an earthly organization of goods and moneys and servants. He turned the grace of God into lasciviousness.

We have that in the message today too. We have Gehazis in the message today, men who were with the prophet who are now turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, quoting the message, calling on the name of the prophet and getting rich and building earthly kingdoms for themselves. God does not change. What he said then is true today. They shall reap the same reward in their day of judgment as Gehazi did in his. Their sin will cling to them and their seed forever.

So where is our treasure this morning? Search yourselves. Search your lives and you will know. Anything and everything that we put before the word of God is an idol.

Luke 18: 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

This man lived according to the law keeping the commandments. His life was so righteous it would shame most of us today. He had one problem however, his treasure was earthly. There was something that was more important to him than the Lord God. There was something in his life that he valued higher than he valued the Lord Jesus Christ. He had an idol! He could not part with his earthly treasures and he ended up in hell. His treasure was corrupt, his eye was corrupt and thus his heart was corrupt. He heart was not on fire for the Lord or his Word. The word of God to him was a consuming fire. The word of God condemned him, and instead of repenting, he rejected it. We need to be sanctified. God cannot dwell in an unclean vessel.

If we have any idols in our hearts we are not worshipping God. There are many, many idols and it only takes one idol to displace God in our hearts. We went through a few already. Money, power, popularity, dogmas, creeds, denominations, organizations, publications, and even other people can be idols. Anything that we allow to come before the Lord God in our hearts is an idol. No matter how much we pray, how much we sing, how much we go to church, how much we shout, how many tapes we listen to, how high we lift our hands, how pious our lives look, if we have idols in our hearts then we are not worshipping God. Jesus said that a true worshipper must worship God in Spirit and in truth. The word of God is the truth.

A Christmas tree for example is an idol. The Bible is the Word of God and it says do not do it and then we go and do it anyway. We put that tree before God’s word. We make that piece of wood into an idol. Let’s read that scripture to remove all doubt.

Jeremiah 10: 2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Today we have message people with Christmas trees thinking they are just fine because they give homage to a prophet and his message. It is an idol, it is contrary to the word of God and if you do it you are making an idol out of that tree. The very moment we decide that we are going to have a tree, we are in idolatry. Sin is an affair of the heart. And knowing better it is iniquity on their part and we heard earlier that it is because of iniquity that we grow cold. Can you see it? You let one little thing like this get in and displace the Word of God and it will poison your whole life. We let private creeds and dogmas take over in our lives and pretty soon we are in complete darkness. Look at Israel. How often did they let one little thing in and it poisoned the whole nation and led them off into idolatry.

We have things creeping in everywhere now. Christmas trees, makeup, remarriage. Remarriage in the message! The prophet refused to go to his own son’s wedding because it was a remarriage. Let’s put that to rest right now.

Luke 16:18 Whosoever puts away his wife, and marries another, commits adultery: and whosoever marries her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.

Those aren’t my words, those are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ himself. If you divorce your wife and remarry another woman then you are committing adultery. If you marry a divorced woman you are committing adultery. If you are divorced and you get “married”, you are committing adultery. If you marry a divorced man, you are committing adultery. Period! Someone not too long ago said that can’t be right because that would be too cruel and not fair to the people. Read Ezra chapter nine.

Jesus warned us that a little leaven will leaven the whole lump. He warned the Pharisees in Mark 7:13 that they have made the word of God none effect by teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. It is a poison! We often hear that it is better to have the right spirit and a wrong doctrine that the right doctrine and the wrong spirit. We of course hear that most from those with the wrong doctrine as an excuse for rejecting the Word of God.

Let me assure you that if you have the right spirit you won’t have the wrong doctrine for very long. When you hear the revealed word of God the Spirit of God in you will shout AMEN! If your heart is on fire for Christ then when you hear the Word of God that fire will flare up. The two on their way to Emmaus had a wrong doctrine, but when Jesus expounded the true doctrine to them, their hearts burned within them as they heard it. Read “Restoration of the Bride Tree, 1962”.

When the Pharisees heard Jesus they called him a devil. When the little girl at the well heard him she called him a prophet. Her heart was on fire! There was a spark of God put in her heart from the foundation of the world. When that spark caught the light of the gospel is set ablaze. She was looking for a living water that would satisfy her forever. That was her treasure. When she came in contact with the light she saw it immediately. She did not need to be convinced of if. Her eyes were opened and when that light shone, it had access to her heart. The Pharisees had their eyes closed. They were blinded by their own greed, and pride and lust for power.

When you first heard the revealed word of God for the hour, how did your heart react? Your presence here this morning tells me that something was lit aflame in your heart. Where is that flame today? Are you choking it out with false doctrines? Are you choking it out with the cares of the world? Are you choking it out with money lust? Or are you feeding the fire with the word of God? Feed that fire this morning. Set yourself aflame for Christ. Let the word of God burn the dross from you. Do not quench the Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit of the Lord God Jehovah work in you. Allow the fire of the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ burn in you.

The Bible likens us to metal being purified in the fire. When a silver smith wants to purify metal he puts it in the fire to heat it up. Then he hammers the metal and folds it over. Then he repeats the process over and over, hammering the metal and placing it in the fire. He knows the metal is pure when he can see his reflection in it. Jesus tries us in the fire, he folds us and hammers us with life and places us back in the fire to burn out all our dross, all our sin, all our iniquity until he can see his own reflection in our characters.

What are you reflecting right now? What is in your heart? Is your heart burning within you as you hear the Word of God? Is the Word of God burning out your dross? Let this blessed Word of God into your heart this morning and let it burn out all of your sin and iniquity, all your doubts and fears, everything of the world. This word you are reading this morning can prepare you for the rapture if you will let it.

It all depends on where your eye is. If it is on Christ right now, and on his word, that word will be doing a work on you, cleaning you, sanctifying you, washing you, filling you, folding you, until Jesus can see his own reflection in your character. If you are looking to Christ this morning, your treasure is in heaven and it is growing moment by moment as Jesus is transforming you into his very image. He is preparing you to dwell with him forever. He is preparing you to sit in his throne with him to rule forever. He is making you fit to dwell in a perfect body as his heavenly bride. He is the King of Heaven and He wants to make you his queen.

Are you happy? God left his throne in glory to come down to take upon a body just like yours. He lived, ate, slept, worked just like you do. The Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, veiled himself in a human body. He came not only to take our sin and pay the price that we could be free from sin, he also came to be a perfect example to us. He is the example of how to live, how to love, how to worship, how to believe, how to obey, how to overcome, how to speak and even how to think. He is the example for this whole world of how to live every moment of every day of our lives. He is the light of the world and it is our job to reflect that light to others through our lives. If our hearts burn within us for the Lord then his light will shine through that fire.

He has given us his word. He has revealed to us his word. He has opened the fountain deep and wide to wash away our sins with his own blood. He wants us to build treasures in heaven with him. He wants our hearts to be on fire for him. If our treasure is in heaven then we will be on fire for Christ. If our treasure is on earth then we will be lukewarm church goers.

Look at sports. Look at a soccer game. They scream at the top of their voices and jump up and down and raise their hands and dance when someone kicks a little round ball into a very large net. We have been handed eternal life, salvation, healing, and deliverance free of charge and we can barely sit and keep our eyes open for an hour. God came and lived and died for us and rose again and we can barely be heard when we pray and worship him. Where is the fire? Where is your treasure?

We have it all. We truly have it all. We are heirs to the entire planet. We are heirs to eternal life. We are heirs to reign with him in glory forever. What a glorious treasure he has given us by his grace. None of us deserve it but he has granted it to us anyway. Rejoice and again I say rejoice. We have an earnest of our inheritance right here in this life. We have divine healing! We have prophesy! We have deliverance! We have signs and wonders! We have the very God of heaven, the pillar of fire, right here in our midst! Jesus Christ himself is standing here in the pillar of fire waiting for us to ask of him that he may give us all that our hearts desire.

He is more willing to give then we are to receive. Get of fire for Christ!

The fire of the Lord Jesus Christ burning in my soul! Let it burn in yours.

May the Lord God richly bless you.

The Mark of the Beast

The Mark of the Beast from a Biblical perspective

There was a time they thought the mark of the beast was a brand, like on cattle. Then they thought it was a tattoo. Some supposed it might be your Social Security Number, others a credit card. Now some think it is a computer chip. But what does the word of God say?

Vicarius Filii Dei
The name and number of the man

Revelation 13: 16 And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

First let me preface with the thought that every true doctrine of scripture can find its root in Genesis and it harvest in Revelation. These are the two most important books in the Bible because they anchor every single idea. If we cannot find the root in Genesis and the fruit in Revelation, then there is something wrong with our idea and we must go back and start over.

As such the “mark of the beast” must also be found in both Genesis and Revelation.

Next we have to understand that only the Lord God can create. The Bible calls him “the” great creator, not “a” great creator. So if only the Lord can create, then everything that the devil has must be a perversion of something that the Lord God had already created. For example a lie is simply a perversion of the truth. Adultery is a perversion of a righteous act between a man and his wife. Theft is a perversion of righteous ownership. Sickness is a perversion of health and death merely a perversion of life.

The “mark of the beast’ must therefore be a perversion of a mark or seal that God first created. To understand the mark of the beast, we must first find the mark of the Lord.

Ezekiel 9: 3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Here we see the angel of the Lord passing through the city of believers and marking them upon their foreheads. Notice the devil’s mark is on the forehead too for he must copy God, but in a perverted manner.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Let us immediately dispense with the idea that “sealed” and “mark” are different. The original Greek word that we translated into sealed is “sphragizo” which means “to put a mark on an object to show possession, authority, identity, or security” (Strong’s Strongest Concordance). The “seal” of God is the “Mark” of the Lord to show possession by the Holy Spirit. This is why the Bible says in

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The Seal of the Lord is the “Mark of God” which shows the owner ship and possession of the Lord upon us.

The “Mark of the Beast” therefore shows the ownership of Satan upon people as well.

Romans 6: 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Here I have to get into the meat. This will be hard from some to take, but it is the Word of God. We are all owned. We all have a master. We are all servants (Doulos [Greek] slaves) to a spiritual master. That master lives in our hearts. We now can easily identify who our master is; our master is the one we yield ourselves to obey. If we are yielded to the Word of God, then the Lord is our master. If we are yielded to the world, to the flesh, to sin, then Satan is our master, and we are his willing slaves.

The Bible tells us what that seal of God is. We are sealed, marked, with the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the seal, or mark, of the Lord God. Here is a second scripture to cement that idea.

Ephesians 1: 3  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Now that we understand what the “Mark of God” is, let us look at how it is applied.

Acts 2: 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The pillar of fire came into their presence split apart and rested upon the foreheads of all that were present. The Lord God sealed them by placing his mark, the “Mark of the Lord God” upon the foreheads of the people. Remember in Ezekiel he sent the angel to mark them upon their foreheads as well. And now when we look into Revelation we see the “mark of the beast” upon the forehead, we understand why. Let us take one more scripture to seal this idea for us.

Revelation 7: 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

There should be no doubt now. The “Mark of the Lord” is the sealing of the person with the Holy Spirit, which signifies the ownership of the Lord upon them. It seals the man/woman as the servant of the Lord God. It is the token, the redemption, the pledge of God to redeem his own. It is important here to tell you how to get that seal. Verily I would be remiss in my duties as a human being if I failed.

Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The one and only prescription given in the Bible for us to receive the “Mark of God”, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Surely you are thinking infant baptism, sprinkling, baptism in titles, all equate. To man they may, but not to the Lord God. He gave us a specific command. If we yield ourselves to obey that command, then we will receive the Holy Spirit. If we yield to another voice, then we do not belong to the Lord.

Acts 19:  And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

In this verse we see Apollos, a man that the Bible called a “mighty preacher”, was not sealed. When the apostle and prophet Paul met him, he determined that Apollos was not properly baptized. Apollos had not come through the provided way. So Paul told Apollos of the only accepted baptism, of the direct command of the Lord, and Apollos obeyed and was then immediately sealed with the Holy Spirit.

Apollos believed. He was living a clean life. He was baptized, just not according to the prescribed method in the Bible. He was baptized by John the Baptist, yet even that did not count. He was preaching the gospel. He was turning souls to Christ. Yet he was not sealed and he did not yet have remission of sins. He had not entered into the blood covenant of Jesus Christ. He did not have the “Mark of God” upon his forehead. Apollos was a good and righteous man, a church going believer, and even a pastor of a church, yet the Lord could not render unto him the baptism of the Holy Spirit until he obeyed the command of God concerning it. Now if the Lord held a man like Apollos to that standard, he must also hold us to it or he is a hypocrite.

If you or I have not repented and been baptized in accordance with scriptures by full immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ, then we must do it in order to obtain the seal of the Lord God. If we reject it, then we are not yielding to the Lord, we are yielding to the other guy. The Lord has given us an example to follow. We will either yield ourselves to obey the Word of the Lord and be his servants, or we will reject the Word of God in favour of our dogmas, traditions and creeds and be servants of the devil. It’s a hard word, but true.

We have determined that the “Mark of God” is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that it is preceded by full repentance and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. We have also seen that the devil cannot create and that everything he has is a perversion of something that the Lord God created. So now let us look at what the “mark of the beast” must be. It is a perversion of the “Mark of God”, it is on the forehead, or (perversion) on the hand. And it must be found in Genesis.

Genesis 4: 15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. 16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

The first mark of the beast occurred in Eden. Cain received a mark and immediately went out from the presence of the Lord. He was sealed. There was no more mercy, no more grace for him at that point. The “mark of the beast” is the rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the rejection of the Holy Spirit. The “mark of the beast” seals us out from mercy, from grace, from the blood of Jesus Christ. It seals our doom.

Let us look at this taking into account what we read in Romans. There used to be a celebration every 50 years called Jubilee. At Jubilee the trumpet was sounded and any slave who heard the sound could walk free. If, however, the slave decided that the preferred his master, he was taken to the gate of the city and his ear pierced with and awl and he was a slave forever. Now you see why Christians are so against ear piercing? It is a covenant of slavery.

Exodus 21: And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.

Now put that into the context of the New Testament.

2 Thesalonians 2: 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Those who reject the gospel, who reject the message of the hour, who reject the Holy Spirit, are sent a strong delusion that they would believe a lie. It has been the same in every age. When Ever rejected the message of Adam, she was sent a strong delusion and believed the lie of the Serpent. Every sin, sickness, suffering and death is a result of that. Moses had a message, those who rejected it perished. Jesus said they are dead. Noah had a message and those who rejected it perished. The Bible says they are in hell. When we reject the message for our day, the gospel, then we will perish. We will believe a lie and be damned for it. The devil, our master, will pierce our ear and we will never receive revelation on the Word of God, forever. We pass beyond the realms of grace. And for the most part we will not even know it.

Think you can come back from that?

Revelation 14: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever received the mark of his name.

Once we receive the “mark of the beast” it is unto our damnation. Damnation upon “whosoever” received it. You see once you receive it there is no going back because you will now believe the devil’s lies and thus never believe the truth of the gospel. You will be religions no doubt, but never holy. Think it impossible?

2 Timothy 3: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

These folks are extremely religious having a “form of godliness”. They go to church every Sunday, sing in the choir, run outreach programs, preach, run charities etc etc. Outwardly to the world they seem holy. But to the Lord God they are abominable for they have rejected Jesus Christ and taken for doctrine the commandments of men. They rejected God’s word in favour of dogmas and creeds, psychology and tradition. They have education, doctors of divinity even, “ever learning and NEVER coming to the knowledge of the truth”. They will never be saved for they cannot be saved. They will never know Jesus Christ. They will never receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit for they have already receive the mark of the beast, and don’t even know it.

That is the worst part of it. Because the world, the religious world, the nominal church doesn’t even know what the mark of the beast is, hundreds of millions have already received it and do not even know it. They will never come to the knowledge of the truth for they rejected it long ago.

Don’t be looking for tattoos or computer chips. Look to what the Bible says about it. Receive the love of the truth, receive the revealed word of God, and yield yourself to obey it. Do this and the Lord will put his mark upon you. Reject it and the devil will claim you and you won’t even know it has happened. Verily the Sunday after the rapture the churches will all be full and the preachers will be pointing to a rapture that has already passed for when they were given the truth, they rejected it, and were sent a strong delusion. Their ears were pierced. They were marked.

Now let us take a moment and look at the other end of that first scripture. Here it is again for reference:

Revelation 13: 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Let us look at this in the light of another scripture about this man.

2 Thessalonians 2: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

VicarCrown666
The Number of His Name is 666

The name “Vicarius Filii Dei” means “Vicar of Christ” or “In Place of Christ”. The pope calls himself infallible. The name Vicarius Filii Dei is inscribed upon his golden crown. The Catholic Church believes that he cannot make a mistake. Only God is perfect. This is the man of sin, who sits in the temple of God, “vicarius filii dei” showing himself to be God. The number of his name, the Roman Numeral number of his Roman name is none other than 666 as this figure shows clearly.

Literally hundreds of millions of people have received the Mark of the Beast, and don’t even know it. This is sad, so very sad. Don’t be a statistic.

Jesus suffered, bled and died for our sin, for your sin, and rose again to sit on the right hand of power making intercession for the Saints. Fifty days later was the feast of Pentecost. It was our Jubilee. One hundred and twenty souls gathered in the upper room in Jerusalem were the first to be sealed by God. They immediately hit the streets. Then another 3,000 souls were added that same day. The jubilee trumpet sounded, the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is still sounding today. Hear the trumpet sound and receive your freedom. Receive the revealed word of God for the hour. Enter the blood covenant of Jesus Christ, wash away your sins, and live forever with him.

It is not enough to know about Jesus, we have to know Jesus. Christianity is not a religion, it is not an organization, it is a personal relationship between the Lord God and individuals, through the body and blood of Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Christians know Jesus Christ personally, because Jesus Christ personally lives inside of them.

Get marked by God! Get the token of God’s grace and mercy. Today!

May the Lord Bless you Richly in all things.

God Working in Us

The message for today is one of encouragement. It is the message of the Lord God Jehovah working in us.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

May the Lord God add his blessing to the reading of his word.

God at WorkIt is a short scripture but there is so much in it. It is God working in you, in me. We are not Christians of our own accord, it is by the grace of God. We could not do this on our own. We did not come here on our own. We cannot understand this word of God on our own. But it is God Himself working in us.

Who here has been delivered? Did you do that or did God deliver you? Who has been healed? Did you do it or did God heal you?

Everything we have is of God. He is the giver of all good gifts. God himself is working in us for two purposes: to will or desire His good pleasure, and to do His good pleasure.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father.

Your very desire for God is not of yourself but is given to you from God. We are fleshly creatures the same as the world. We lived in sin the same as the world. We were conceived in iniquity, born in sin and come into the world speaking lies. Every one of us the same as the world.

Yet there is something different about us. When we heard the word of God we accepted and believed it. When we heard the voice of the Shepard we came and followed him. Why? What makes us different? Are we holier than they are? No. Are we more righteous than they are? No. Are we smarter than they are? No. The difference is that God is working in us. God is working in us!

John 6: 43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Have you come to the Son? We have all come to Jesus if we are Christians? We have come because God drew us. We can only come to Jesus if God draws us. We can only come to Jesus if God is working in us. Jesus Christ is the word of God. Amen? The message is the Revealed Word of God. Amen? So we can only come to the word, to believe the message of the hour if God is working on us. And to believe the message is not simply to parrot the prophet. To believe the message is to have the message, the word of God, the Bible, revealed to you by the Holy Spirit. That is God working in you.

But that does not mean that we can be slack and idle. We have a job too.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Prove the perfect will of God. Be not conformed to this world. Who runs the world? The devil. So be not conformed to the devil’s world, but be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. Be transformed into the Word of God. Present your bodies as a living sacrifice. Did you ever ask yourself what this means or what it entails? What are we sacrificing? We are sacrificing our flesh. We are crucifying our fleshly desires, our ungodly lusts, for Christ. To present ourselves as a holy sacrifice unto the Lord we must be holy, and we can only be holy if the Holy Spirit dwells in us. That, once again is God working in us. It is His holiness that makes us holy.

We also have to offer up the sacrifice of praise. Jesus said if we will deny him then he will deny us, but if we will confess him, then he will confess us. Did you ever wonder why it is so hard to open your mouth and praise God sometimes? The hardest thing for people to do is to praise the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, even in church. The devil, and our flesh are working against us. But God is working in us, and if we choose to think God’s thoughts, then we will overcome our flesh and the devil and be able to raise our voices and praise and worship God.

God is working in us but He requires an effort from us to. Remember the wise and the foolish virgins. God was working in both of them, they were all saved but the foolish virgins worked against God, they fought against the working of God in them. Remember we are at war and the battle is in our minds. We can hinder the working of God in us. We have to be transformed into the image of Christ by the renewing of our minds. It is in our minds, our decisions, that we accept and prove the perfect will of God.

And it involves a change in us. What we were is no good. We must be transformed, changed. We must get rid of the old things. That is the circumcision of the heart. Old ideas, old ways, old feelings, old thoughts, old manners, old lives must all perish with the old man.

Colossians 3:7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of you mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 and put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.

Put of the old man with his deeds. Our old man, the person we were, must be put off with all of our old deeds. When we are baptized we are burying that old man, with all of its sins and all of its vices in water that we may be born again renewed in Christ Jesus. And we have to put on the new man after the image of Christ. Are we the image of Christ? When the world looks at us do they see Jesus Christ, or do they see the old man? Has the world seen a change in us? Are we allowing God to work in us or are we hindering Him?

Moses fought against the Lord. Caught you off guard with that. He was not intentionally fighting God, but by His Egyptian education, by the learning he received in the flesh, he was acting contrary to what God wanted. God was working in him, but his mind was not in tune with God’s word. So he tried to do what he thought was the will of God but in fact he was working contrary to it. It took another 40 years for Moses to get in to the right condition where God could work in him unhindered.

There was a young man in Israel. He was very zealous for the Lord, a Pharisee and a devout Jew of the tribe of Benjamin. He studied under the best teacher that Israel had to offer. He knew the scriptures, the law and the prophets, better than any man in Israel. His whole life was dedicated to the living God of Israel to the point where there was nothing he would not do for God. But even though this man was a predestinated seed of God, he was hindering the working of God in him, that is until God got hold of him.

Galatians 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it.

Paul was a predestinated seed, a chosen vessel of the Lord, an apostle, a prophet and the messenger to the first church age and yet he was hindering the working of God in him. How much more do we? Our thoughts, our ideas, our works, our lives will either hinder God’s working in us or it will complement it. What are our live like? Are we hindering the working of God in us? Attitude says it all. Let’s look at two people who were given the same message. They were both children of God. One hindered the working of God and the other complemented it.

Luke 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 for he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years? 19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to show thee these glad tidings. 20 And behold, you shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because you believe not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

Zacharias was a man of God, and a preacher too. He was not an unbeliever. But because he could not understand Gabriel’s words, he foolishly rejected them. And because he rejected them the angel gave him a little time of trouble. The angel had to make a little adjustment in Zacharias so that he could come to terms with the message and yield to the working of God in him.

Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

So it is truly our choice. It is your choice right now. Make the right choice. Our attitude will determine how God works in us. We can either accept the Word and yield to the spirit, or we can hinder the working of the Lord by doubting what the word says to us.

Some through the fire and some through the flood, some through the water but all through the blood, some in great sorrow, but God gives a song, in the night season and all the day long. If we are called for eternal life God will have His way with us. If we hinder his working he will still accomplish that which he determines to accomplish, we will just have to suffer a little. He is not punishing us, he is chastising us. Zacharias was not punished, he was chastised. He was given a little spank by God so he would line himself up with God’s will.

It may seem a little rough or scary to think about being chastised of God but the Bible gives us direction.

Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives. 7 If ye endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, wherefore all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons.

The devil will tell you the opposite. The devil will tell you that God has written you off, that you are being punished and God has left you. That is a lie! That is God dealing with you. That is God working in you. If we do not yield to the working of the Holy Spirit in us willingly of our own accord then God will give us a little spank to wake us up so that we will yield to him. Was Moses being punished when he got sent off into the desert to be a Sheppard for 40 years? No. That was God dealing with him. Was Zacharias being punished with his stroke or whatever it was? No. That was God dealing with him. Was Paul being punished when he was blinded on the road to Damascus? NO. That was God working through and in him. Some through the fire and some through the flood.

But it will come down to our attitude, to how we see ourselves and how we see God.

James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Wherefore he said, God resists the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourself therefore to God. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Is it coming together? Am I making sense to everyone? God is working in each and every one reading this blog right now. He is doing it by his word and by the incidents in our lives. He is working to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ. He is molding us like clay. He is the potter. And if the clay will not come into shape, then sometimes the potter has to bust it up and start over. But the potter doesn’t throw away the clay, he starts over from scratch with the same clay. Sometimes we get so out of God’s will that he has to bust us up and start from the bottom up. That is what he did to Moses.

Romans 6: 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Yield yourself to God. You are called for it. One way or another God will accomplish in you the things that He has determined for you. You cannot avoid it. Your name was written in the lamb’s book of life before the foundation of the world and God did not do that by mistake. You fate was determined before the universe was created. What was not determined is how you will get there. You will get there, that is for sure, but you can come the easy way or the hard way, but you will surely come.

Zacharias could have taken the easy way but he did not and it cost him 9 months of not being able to talk. He was still saved. He was still the father of God’s greatest prophet. But he had to go through some fire on his journey.

What about us? What about you? Are we going to yield to God? Eventually we will. Why not take the easy way? God will mold you into the image of Jesus Christ. He has promised to do it and one way or another He will do it. It is really up to us as to which path we take. God only spanks us when we are bad. If we have a stubborn spirit God will break that thing. If we are proud God surely will humble us. If we are Laodicean and lukewarm God will surely set us on fire.

Sin. Sin is unbelief. Unbelief is the only sin. Lying, stealing etc. are attributes of sin. We do them because we do not believe in the first place. Unbelief is sin. Let not sin, unbelief, reign in you mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof. The old man again. Yielding again. You have two spirits talking to you right now. Which are you going to yield too. The Bible tells us to yield to Christ and not to the lusts of our flesh because the lusts of the flesh work unrighteousness. If we yield ourselves to sin we will reap the wages of unrighteousness. If we yield ourselves to the lusts of the flesh or the things of the world we are hindering the working of God in us. God will warn us, and warn us, and speak to us, and preach to us, and finally he will chastise us. He has given us a way to walk and one way or another we will walk with him.

What is our walk? It is our service to the Lord and our service to the world.

Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in knowledge of God;

Our service unto God is our lives. God is working in us, transforming us into the image of His son through his word, and working in us to both desire and to do His will in our lives. If we walk according to the spirit, then we will be pleasing to God, serving God and serving men in a godly fashion.

2 Corinthians 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to bed the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in table of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

We are written epistles. We are the word of God in flesh today. We are supposed to be. The Bible says that we are supposed to be. Are we? Are people surprised when you tell them you are a Christian? Is it because your life does not match your testimony? Are we pleasing to the Lord?

We have the message of the hour. We have been sent a prophet of God, vindicated by signs, wonders and miracles, who brought out the hidden mysteries of the Bible, restored the lost doctrine from the Bible, and restored the faith of the children to that of the original Pentecostal fathers. We have, for the first time in history, the first time since time began, the whole Bible revealed. Every single word written in this book is now open to us. We have the greatest light that has ever shone on earth today. We have more light than Noah, more than Moses, more than Paul, for the mysteries were sealed up unto this hour.

We have the greatest truth the world has ever known. We have the pillar of fire, not just in a picture on our mantels, but right here amongst us working the same miracles that he has always worked. God is working in us, in our hearts, in our souls, changing us, teaching us, transforming us into his image. Our job is to live that life, to yield to the Holy Spirit and to resist the devil. Our job is to be the Bible to others, to show Jesus Christ in our lives. Our job is to crucify our old man with the desires thereof and to live a new life in Christ Jesus.

You cannot have it both ways. You cannot mix God with the world.

Matthew 9:16 No man puts a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment and the rent is made worse. 17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottle: else the bottles break, and the wine runs out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

They did not have glass bottles in those days, they had wine skins. And new wine is still fermenting. It is full of life and bubbling up with life. You put new wine in an old dried up wine skin and the pressure from the bubbles will burst that old skin.

We cannot take a patch of God’s righteousness and patch the holes in the filthy rags of our righteousness. We must do as Elisha and cast off our robes, cast off our self-righteousness and wrap ourselves in the robes of God’s righteousness. We must be justified and sanctified before we can ever be filled with the Holy Spirit and there is no way to put the Holy Spirit into an old dead carnal denominational religion.

You try putting the Holy Spirit into a dead formal denomination and it will bubble up with life and bust its way out. The upper room could not contain the 120 once the Holy Spirit indwelled them and neither will a denomination contain a Christian once God fills them today. The only difference today between a Pentecostal and a catholic is the street address. We must be born again of water and of spirit, and that new birth will set us free from all traditions and dogmas and creeds.

And if we cannot put the Holy Spirit into a religion, how much less can we put it into the world. You cannot patch up an unholy worldly heart with a Holy Spirit. It won’t stick. It is full of power and it will rend the worldly heart in two. You cannot put the Holy Spirit into an old dried up heart. It will bubble up and bust you wide open.

We need a new heart and a new spirit, then God will give us the Holy Spirit. We have to cleanse ourselves, or rather let the Lord God cleanse us, from the things of the world and the things of the flesh and the things of religion. We have to yield to the working of God in us. We have to stop resisting him. He will have his way in the end.

Look at Jonah the prophet. He steadfastly resisted the will of God. God told him to go one way and he went the other, and God sent him a spanking in the form of a storm and a big fish. If Jonah had not resisted the working of God in him then he would have foregone that whole nightmare. And look at Nineveh. When the word of the Lord came to them they accepted it immediately and suffered nothing. They were on the verge of being condemned and destroyed off the face of the earth but when the heard the message of the hour they immediately repented and received it and yielded themselves to it.

Sodom was sent a similar warning but they scoffed at the message. They refused to yield to the word of God and were destroyed of fire.

We hear the message of our hour. This generation is on the verge of destruction by fire. This generation will be like Sodom but worse for Jesus said if Sodom had seen the signs and wonders they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes and be standing today. This generation will not yield to the word of God, to the message of the hour and will most certainly be cleansed by fire.

But God is working in us. God is giving us his word. His spirit is molding us, sculpting us, transforming us into his image. All He requires of us is to yield to him and to resist the devil. All he requires of us is to choose. He is doing the work.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are His workmanship. It is God that is working in us. It is God that is changing us. It is God that forgave our sins. It is God that delivered us from bondage. It is God that healed our diseases. It is God that is transforming us and it is God that ordained us to walk in his word before the foundation of the World. And let us leave you with this last word. A word upon which you can meditate for the rest of you time on earth. A promise of God that will not pass away, will not fail and will not change.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Paul says to be confident. Be confident in his promise. Be confident in his workmanship. Has he begun a work in you? He won’t stop until he comes back for you. Be confident in that fact. Yield yourself to him, he is working in you right now. He will be working in you tomorrow. He will be working a good work in you till the rapture comes to take you home. Be confident. It isn’t us working. It is God working in us. We cannot fail for it is not us doing the work it is God himself. God is doing it and he never fails. Be confident in God.

Rejoice oh Christian and shout for God is working a good work in you. The most holy Lord God Jehovah, creator of heaven and earth, is perfecting you with his word. Yield to God and be quick to answer him. Receive of his word and of his spirit. Receive his word, believe his word and obey his word. Cry out to him day and night. Praise his name for it is God himself that is working in you. And He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. What victory we have in Jesus.

He will not fail.

As a Man Thinks in His Heart, So is He

(Think on these things)

Think on These Things
Think on These Things

Today we are inundated with ideas and theologies and philosophies trying to teach us how to think and behave. But we have been given the master theology from God himself. I believe, as do all Christians, that the Bible is the perfect, unfailing, inspired word of God. It does not contain all information or all history but contains the essential elements for life. There is nothing needed that has been left out, and nothing added that is not essential. That is why the Bible tells us never to add to it, and never to take away from it. We need the Bible, as it was written, in its entirety. It contains all that we need to live and find salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the user manual for life.

And on that note I would like to take an admonishment from the Bible for a text out of the book of Philippians.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

And may God add a blessing to the reading of His word.

Notice Paul’s admonishment to us. He is telling us to consciously control our thoughts. Not only is he telling us to control them but giving us a very specific direction in which to think. And if the Bible tells us that we are to think on these things, then by default are we not also supposed to avoid thinking the opposite as well?

Look what he tells us to think on; true things, honest things, just things, pure things, lovely things, things of a good report, things of virtue and praise. He is telling us to think only on good things and to not think about bad things. This is what we are told to think on. And everything God tells us if for a reason and for our own good.

Now we have to ask ourselves some questions. Why? Why does Paul tell us to get control of our thoughts and why is it so important what we think on? Why is it essential to think only on good things? Why is it bad to think on the things that are maybe not so good? What will happen if we do not think on good things? Asking the right questions is the key to learning.

He is telling us to control our thoughts. We have to look a little deeper, to see where our thoughts actually come from, what they are, what they do, and how they manifest themselves in our lives. We have all heard of “positive thinking” and the “power of positive thinking”. We have heard of the placebo effect with medicines, how someone’s belief in the medicine will affect the outcome of taking the medicine. We have all heard how Olympic athletes will “visualize” themselves performing their sports perfectly. Everything physical has a spiritual counterpart. It is like the negative and positive of a picture.

So where do our thoughts come from? Did you ever stop to ask that question? It will surprise some. Science will disagree completely with me here but I believe what the Bible says above all.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Did Paul say they were the thoughts and intents of the mind? He said they come from the heart. That is where your thoughts come from. They come from your heart, from inside. What dwells in your heart? A spirit dwells in each and every human being. Your thoughts, my thoughts, come from the spirit or spirits that dwell inside us. Now this is not spiritualism. This is not voodoo, this is perfectly scriptural. I know it seems strange to most, having never ventured into these waters, but if you bear with me, I will show you by the grace of God through the Holy Scriptures that it is perfectly so.

For some I would say it is starting to make a little sense now. The thoughts in our heads come from our hearts. Every thought has its origins in the spiritual realm before it ever enters the intellectual realm. We wrestle with them in our minds but they come from our hearts, from spirits. And when we hear the Word of God, it will expose our spirits by discerning our thoughts, which come out of our hearts. When we hear the word of God, our spirit will either reject it or accept it. That is why the John writes to try spirits with the word.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. 3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

John doesn’t tell us to try men, or to try preachers, but to try the spirits that are in the men. In the fourth verse he plainly tells us in black and white that we either have the spirit of God or the spirit of the world. Every man, woman and child on this planet is possessed of a spirit. This is a big piece of meat and not for babies. We are either born again and possessed of the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, or we are not yet regenerated and possessed by the spirit of the world, which is a devil.

So keeping this in mind, let us return to the idea of finding out where are thoughts originate and how they function.

Matthew 15:18 But the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

It is not out of the mouth, or out of the mind that thoughts originate, but of the heart they come. Notice Jesus said they do come out of the mouth, but before they can come out of the mouth, they must first be a thought and the thoughts come from the heart.

This is a simple idea but some people have trouble grasping it. A word is a thought expressed. When you speak a word, when I speak a word, when God speaks a word, that word is the expression of a thought. The evil thoughts in the heart, go to the mind where they are considered and either rejected or embraced. And when we embrace evil thoughts they will conceive and bring forth fruit; adulteries, murders etc. And when we embrace a thought, we are embracing and give obedience to the spirit from which that thought originated. When we reject a thought we are rejecting the spirit from which it came.

2 Corinthians 10: 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty though God to the pulling down of strong holds:) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Amen? We do not war after the flesh. We are not warriors of guns and swords. Our war is not in our body, but in our minds. The greatest battle ever fought is in the human mind. It is the chosen place of battle. For there to be a war, the two parties have to settle on a place to fight that war. There must be some place where they can both come and both fight. The chosen place for spiritual warfare is in the depths of every human mind. It is the “no mans land” of the spirit realm.

God and Satan are facing off, and it is not in Armageddon, it is not in some future battle or some historic epic, it is right inside of your head right now! The greatest spiritual war ever fought is going on right inside of your mind, right at this moment! You are hearing the Word of God anointed by the spirit of God, and the devil is telling you just the opposite. The Holy Spirit is standing right there pouring Himself out to you, offering you the gift of faith with the revelation of Jesus Christ and the devil is standing right beside Him pouring out his unbelief at you. Right inside of your mind at this very moment you are going to either receive or reject the Word of God. Right inside your mind you will either receive or reject Jesus Christ. Right inside of your mind you will determine your eternal destination, based on what you think.

That is quite the revelation in itself. Do you really understand what I just said? Are you able to believe that? It is one of the most important revelations we can receive, for if we do not know our enemy, and if we do not know where the battle is being fought, then we will surely loose. Our battle is in our minds and it is the battle of faith versus unbelief. It is the battle of good versus evil. It is the battle of the Truth of God against the lies of Satan.

Why did the allies win in WWII? Did we have better guns? No. Did we have better soldiers or better training than the Germans? Not even close. We won the war simply because Germany did not know where the battle was to be fought. Think about it. We were not winning WWII, we were losing and suddenly in the end we won. We surprised them when we stormed the beaches in France.

If they had known where the battle was being fought, they would have mowed us down like grass. But we kept it from them, we hid it from their eyes, and because they did not know where the battle was going to be fought they had no resources, no plan, no strategy and no chance. And if we do not understand where our battle is being fought today the devil with his inferior tactics, and his inferior power, and his inferior weak lies will defeat us! WE HAVE TO KNOW WHERE THE BATTLE IS BEING FOUGHT SO WE CAN COME AT THE DEVIL WITH EVERYTHING GOD HAS GIVEN US! We cannot let down our guard for a moment.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

“Having done all to stand”. The devil will not let up so we must not let up either. We must do ALL. The devil has wiles. Wiles: scheming, craftiness, lying in wait. He will wait you out and when you least expect it he will attack. He knows where you are strong, he knows where you are weak. You cannot fool him, you have to stand with truth and faith. This whole world is ruled by darkness. The devil is not only the spirit of the world, but the Bible calls him the god of this evil world. He rules the politics, he rules the philosophies, he rules the religions.

14 Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Do you recognize it? That is our first scripture. Whatsoever is true, righteous, lovely etc. The battleground is in our minds and we have been given the weaponry and the armour to win. But if we either don’t recognize the enemy, don’t recognize the battle, or fail to use our weapons, then we will surely loose. The devil will never give up. He has an appointed end, and until that day arrives he will fight tooth and nail. Even though he lost the battle 2000 years ago on Calvary, he will fight and fuss to the very bitter end.

But we do not have to lose. We are not in darkness. We have been given the light of the hour. In this day the entire written Bible has been revealed for us. And the Bible not only tells us of God but it also tells us the devils tactics in detail. It shows us how he attacked Job. It shows us how he attacked Eve. It shows us how he attacked Jesus. It shows us every move the devil makes and how to overcome them. We have the devils playbook. We know his tricks. And not only that, but Jesus has already won the victory for us. We are fighting against a defeated enemy. We cannot lose because we have already won in Christ Jesus. When we are born again we are already victorious and sitting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Can you imagine if you were a boxer going into a title fight against the champion and you walk into a boxing ring to find your opponent has already been beaten up and knocked out and all you have to do is stand there for the count of ten? That is the case here. Jesus beat up and knocked out the devil 2000 years ago and He told us in Ephesians that all we have to do is put on the armour, the spiritual boxing gloves and stand. That’s all, just stand. Stand on what? Stand on the word of God. Stand on God’s promises. No matter what the devil says, no matter what the physical evidence seems to say, no matter what the doctor’s diagnosis says, no matter what you pastor or church say, no matter what I say, stand upon what Jesus Christ says and you have already won the victory.

It is all in our minds. It depends on our attitudes. What we think and believe will determine the battle. And what we truly believe is what we will act on. That is another important point. It is easy to subscribe to a theology or doctrine, or to profess a belief, but it is when the rubber hits the road that you will find out what you truly believe. There is where your trials come in to play. Do you believe in divine healing of Jesus Christ? Get sick and find out. Do you believe that he is your provider? Go broke and find out. Our trials, and more importantly our actions and reactions to those trials, will show us what we truly believe.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

We saw earlier that a word is a thought expressed. So we need our thoughts to come to fruition, to be expressed. That is where they get their power. As long as God was just thinking about light, there was total darkness. But when God spoke the word, “let there be light”, then the thought of God, expressed as a word, brought forth the light in power. So to we must overcome in our minds and bring forth the expression of our thought. We believe in our hearts and then in our minds we claim that belief and manifest it in our words, and by our words, the confession of our lips, our belief brings forth salvation. Jesus said if we would confess Him before men then He would also confess us before God, but if we deny Him before men then He would deny us before God as well. Again the Bible says that all those who cry out in the name of the Lord shall be saved.

In Hebrews Paul calls Jesus the high priest of our profession. Not of our belief, but of our profession. We must not only have the thought, we must express that thought.

Luke 6: 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of things men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

It is not out of the abundance of our minds, but of our hearts that we speak. When we believe the word of God we will confess it with our lips. When we disbelieve the word of God we will also confess that with our lips.

Our thoughts both reflect, and effect, our faith. They show where our faith stands and determine whether our faith is increasing or decreasing.

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Not by hearing dogma. Not be hearing church creeds. Not by hearing philosophy. Not even by hearing testimonies. But faith comes only by hearing the word of God.

What happens when we hear the word of God? It goes into our mind. It goes into the battlefield. The words you are hearing right now are going into battle in your mind. It all depends on what you do with them. Will you receive them and accept them and believe them? Then you will increase in faith. Will you reject them, disbelieve them, deny them, argue against them? Then you will decrease in faith. There is no standing still with God. We are always thinking something so we either move forward or backward but we are always moving. The battle never stops. We win or we loose but we never get to step out of the battle. Look at what the Apostle and Prophet wrote about himself:

Romans 7: 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Paul was constantly warring in his mind. There are two opposing forces, one of good and one of evil warring in his mind. The devil will play to your flesh, to the lusts thereof but the Holy Spirit will deal with your soul, with its needs. And when you are a Christian, the two forces will war in your mind day and night. We are soldiers of the cross. And the two forces will have two conflicting thoughts for you to deal with, one of faith in God’s word, and one of disbelief in God’s word. And we have the right and the power to decide which thoughts we will reject and which ones we will accept. God granted us free moral agency, the right to choose.

Let’s take Abraham. Abraham fought a great war of faith. His fight of faith was so great that he is called the father of faith. A great war indeed. Here was a man a hundred years old. He had been given a promise by God that he would have a child by his 90 year old, barren, wife. And here it was 25 years after he had been given the promise, getting older and weaker by the moment, and he was still fighting a war of faith for the promise had not yet been fulfilled. But what does the Bible say of him?

Romans 4: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief: but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

He staggered not through unbelief. He fought a battle in his mind. And a great battle it was. How would we fair in his shoes I wonder? A hundred years old and his wife 90, older and weaker by the day and still believing a 25 year old promise that he was going to have a child. He fought that battle every day and every night for 25 years. Do you think the devil gave him a day off? Would the devil say “oh Abraham I have been at your heels for a few years, I think I will give you a holiday and leave you in peace for a few weeks”? NEVER! Day and night, wake or sleep the devil was attacking Abraham in his mind telling him that it was impossible, that God had forgotten about him, that God didn’t want him anymore, that he went too far and was out of the will of God and lost salvation and his promise. Daily and nightly this went on. And Abraham was up to the fight. He did not back down. He had on the whole armour of God.

And when Abraham finally got his son what did God do? He sent him right back into battle. He told Abraham now that you got him, I want you to sacrifice him to me. Could we do that this morning? Abraham was up to the task for he was persuaded that the same God who gave him a son from the dead could raise his son up from the dead as well.

And Abraham was so filled with the spirit of God that not only did he overcome the devil in battle, but he also prophesied of Christ in the process. He said “God will provide a lamb for the sacrifice” and there was a ram in the bushes. Not a lamb but a ram. Abraham did not just prophesy that God would bring an animal, he prophesied that God would send Jesus, the Lamb of God for the sacrifice, the perfect sacrifice for all sin, for all men, forever.

God is the victory giver. He is the overcomer. We just have to take Him at His word the way Abraham did. We just have to fight and win our mental battle.

So how did Abraham overcome? What did he use? Abraham decided to consciously control his thoughts and to think only of the good things. Both good and evil thoughts were presented to him. He could either believe God or reject the Word of God. He decided to think only of that which was true, that which was holy, that which was righteous. He consciously rejected every doubt presented by Satan. He consciously accepted all faith presented by God.

And we should point out here that it is not logic, or intellectualizing, or how smart you are, or your education, or what church you go to, or that we have to figure things out. It is simply a matter of accepting one thought over another. Wisdom, earthly wisdom, actually gets in the way. That is the devils trick. He used it on Eve, he will use it on you. Earthly carnal wisdom is not of God.

What was Eve’s mistake? She was deceived. She had two thoughts, one from God, and one from the devil. The devil’s thoughts played to the lust of her flesh. In her mind was a battle. On the one hand God said if you eat you will die. On the other hand the devil said, you won’t really die physically, but it will be a death of your ignorance and you will be wise like God. How long did this battle rage? We are not told. But what we are told is that Eve decided to reject the Word of God and believe the devil’s lie over God. It was her decision as to which thought she was to think. She decided to think the devil’s thoughts. And that is where she actually fell.

We today have two sets of thoughts going into our mind. We too have to decide which thoughts we are going to think. And like I said earlier, when we accept the thought, we become obedient to both the thought and to the spirit from whence it came. This is a critical point.

Romans 8: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

The mind, the thoughts of the mind determine us. To be spiritually minded is life and peace. To be spiritually minded is to have spiritual thoughts, or more precisely thoughts from the Holy Spirit. To be carnally minded is to have carnal thoughts. And the carnal thoughts are an enemy against God. Carnal thoughts disbelieve the Word of God. Carnal thoughts deny the power of God. Carnal thoughts build our pride. Carnal thoughts play to the lusts of our flesh. Carnal thoughts come from the devil. By our thoughts we decide whom we serve. If we embrace the thoughts of God we are serving God, but if we embrace the thoughts of the devil we are serving the devil.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness: 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Whom do you obey? Notice the use of the personal pronoun, whom. He does not say what you obey, as of a thing, but whom as of a person. Unbelief leads unto death. What does it mean to obey unbelief? It is simply to believe and accept the devil’s lie. When we obey an idea we are obeying the author of that idea, and when we reject and idea we are rejecting the author of that idea as well. And the authors of all ideas are spirits.

To obey righteousness is to accept the word of God, for we are told that we “obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine” that was delivered us by the apostles. So to believe the Word of God is to obey God and to disbelieve it is to obey the devil. And we fight the battle in our minds and when we have made our decision on what to believe, we open our heart to it and it enters in. Amen? When we make our decision on what we are going to believe, we open our heart to it and both the thought and the author, the spirit, of the thought enter in.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The words that Jesus spoke are both spirit and life. When we receive them, when we decide within our minds that we are going to believe them, those words and the spirit from whence they came enter into us. It is when we decide to believe the word of God that we become servants of righteousness. It is when we reject the word of God that we become servants of unbelief, servants of sin, servants of the devil. Everyone that rejects the revealed word of God for the hour is a servant of the devil.

Now that also brings the topic of interpretation of the Word of God. We can settle that right quick.

2 Peter 1: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The first one to “interpret” the Word was the devil in Eden. We find the devil interpreting the word to Jesus after his forty day fast as well. All private interpretations are demonic. God interprets his own word by bringing it to pass. It is as it is written, and it means what it says. We do not need to interpret a single word. The Bible interprets itself, word upon word, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little.

Every denomination has its own “interpretation” of the scriptures and every single one of them is wrong. The moment we try to interpret that is the moment we fall away. We interpret because we do not believe it as it is written. Or more to the point we do not believe.

The battle rages on. We hear the word of God the same as the world does but to us it is eternal life, peace and hope. The difference is that when we hear it we decide to believe it. We decide that the word of God is true. We accept what we hear, the way we hear it, and when we do it goes into our hearts. And more importantly when we accept the word of God, we also receive the Spirit of God into our hearts.

When an unbeliever hears the word of God he decides that it is not true. He either rejects it flatly, or puts his own twist on it to make it fit his fleshly lusts. That is interpretation. An “interpreted” word is a lie. When the unbeliever hears the word of God he rejects truth, rejects faith, and accepts unbelief of the word and the unbelief, along with the spirit of unbelief which is a devil, enters his heart.

Hebrews 4: 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

The unbelievers and make believers heard the very same words that the believers heard. It is the same today. The difference is that the unbelievers rejected the word and did not believe it as truth. The unbelievers prefer a lie over the truth.

When we hear the word of God, it corrects us, shows us the right way. In order to accept the truth we have to admit that we are wrong in the first place. We have to be humble and teachable to receive the truth. If we are proud and cannot admit our faults, cannot receive correction, then we have to reject the word of God. We then will gladly accept the lies of the devil because he will tell us exactly those things that our proud, carnal, lustful flesh wants to hear.

Look at Cain and Abel for an example. They both heard the same message from the same prophet, Adam. They both went to church to worship. They both had altars and brought sacrifices. But they had different thoughts. Abel’s thoughts were in line with God’s thoughts and Cain’s were not. Then even when God went to Cain to straighten him up, and God spoke to Cain lip to ear and told him the truth, Cain decided to reject God’s words and instead accept the devil’s thoughts. The devil is a murderer and his thoughts are murderous. When Cain accepted the devil’s thoughts he fulfilled the devil’s lusts by murdering his own twin brother.

Whose thoughts are we accepting? Are we accepting God’s thoughts this morning? Are you accepting the Word of God or rejecting it. If you’ve gotten this far I am thinking you are accepting it. What is in your mind right now? The battle is raging, whose thoughts are you going to accept? Who are you allowing into your heart? Are you going to accept the Holy Spirit or Satan?

Hebrews 9: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We are not just freed from the guilt of sin but the blood of Christ will actually purge your conscience. It will utterly clean you out. It will take away the desire for dead works, for the lies of the devil and for fleshly things of this world. It will give us victory over the battle in our minds. We have overcoming power in Christ Jesus that did not exist before the crucifixion. They used to sin, and then bring sacrifices and then go back to sin. But we have the opportunity to receive Jesus himself into our hearts. We have the opportunity given to us to receive both the spirit and the mind of Jesus Christ. And it is that mind of Christ, that holy mind in us that will give us victory over our thoughts so that we can freely choose to believe the word of God.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

Here in Romans Paul is discussing a lot of bad things done by people. And he gives the cause as well. They did not like to retain God in their knowledge. They did not like the thoughts of God and rejected them. When they heard the word of God, they rejected that word. And because they did God gave them over to a reprobate mind. Their minds were reprobate. And because their minds, and thus their thoughts, were reprobate, they performed all the disgusting evil acts spoken of in that chapter.

If, however, we have the mind of Christ then we will think his thoughts. We will believe his words. We will overcome in the battle. And it is a promise to every Christian. And it is only for the Christian, only for the predestinated seed. It is only by the Holy Spirit that we can know these things, and only by the Holy Spirit through revelation that we can believe them. Without revelation we will never understand the things of God. And if we choose to disbelieve them, we will never get revelation.

When Jesus told the people to eat his flesh and drink his blood the apostles did not know what he meant, but they chose in their minds to believe his words regardless. Not knowing the revelation they believed the words and because they chose to believe him, they were later given the revelation that he was speaking of the Lord’s Supper.

1 Corinthians 2: 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Do I hear an AMEN?

Are we receiving this morning? Are we choosing to believe the word of God or are we passing it off as foolishness? Are we thinking God’s thoughts or the thoughts of the devil? The devil will surely in telling you his thoughts too, but which thoughts are you choosing to believe? Do you believe this word? That is God. Do you understand this word that you are hearing? That is God, for without revelation from God you would not understand a single thing I am writing. If you are not called for eternal life then you will believe that everything I am telling you is pure foolishness.

2 Thessalonians 2: 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 and for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Reject the word of God, decide not to believe it and you will believe any lie that comes your way. If we decide to believe the truth, the Word of God, and we think the thoughts of God, then God will reveal that word to us by his Holy Spirit. But if we reject it, consider it foolishness, decide not to believe it, then we will be completely blinded to it and in total darkness we will gladly receive any lie the devil feeds us.

In the Old Testament we are told of the feast of Jubilee. Every fifty years they had a celebration and one of the activities was the freeing of slaves. If you were a slave at Jubilee, when they blew the trumpet, you could go free. But if you preferred to be a slave, then your master would take you to the gate of the city and pierce your ear with an awl and you would be a slave to him for all eternity.

2000 years ago Jesus paid the price for our deliverance. Today when we hear the gospel trumpet proclaiming our freedom we can walk free from the slavery of the devil. But if we reject that trumpet then the devil will pierce our ear and we will become deaf to the truth and no matter how many times that gospel trumpet blows in our ears, we will be reject it in favour of the devil’s lies. That is the strong delusion. When we reject the word of God, the trumpet of salvation, we become deaf and blind to the word of God. We will not be able to discern right from wrong. We will look at a scripture written simply in black and white and not get it. That is why no church baptizes according to Acts 2:38 any more, they have rejected the truth and been pierced.

The religious world rejected Luther’s message and went off into a catholic apostasy. When the Lutheran’s rejected Wesley’s message they too went off into a catholic apostasy. And on up it went to where you can hardly tell the difference between a Pentecostal and a catholic today. And if we reject the message to this hour, we too shall surely fall victim. Perusia. Return ministry. Seven thunders. How many others are out there today?

Get back to the word. We have to keep our minds on the word thinking God’s thoughts with the mind of Christ.

Our thoughts determine both our words and our actions. Proverbs 23:7 tells us, that “as a man thinks in his heart so is he”. Remember where the thoughts come from and where they go to. The thoughts in our minds that we decide to think about go straight to our hearts along with the authors of those thoughts.

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Can we say this about ourselves today? I surely hope so and I trust that I can. I do believe that we all are receiving the word of God with readiness of mind, choosing to believe what God has said. And I trust that everyone reading here will search these scriptures and make sure that what I have said is indeed Bible.

So I have mentioned the thoughts of God. Let’s find out what the thoughts of God are concerning us so that we can think His thoughts. I am not talking about major doctrines right now like baptism and the godhead. We’ll hunt lions later but this morning lets hunt foxes. The little foxes spoil the vine. The daily thoughts in our heads spoil our vine and sour our fruit.

What is our daily attitude like? It is easy, maybe to be up on Sundays and Wednesday evenings, but what about all the other times? What will our thoughts be on Monday morning? Tuesday at lunch? Will we be thinking God’s thoughts? Will we be completely immersed in the things of the world? Will we have forgotten this sermon? These are questions we need to ask ourselves and answer. We need to search ourselves, to examine ourselves whether or not we are in the faith.

It all comes down to attitude. What is our attitude, towards the word of God in particular and life in general? Have you ever been around a complainer? No matter what is going on they will find something wrong with it, something to whine about. They depress you and sap the life from you. It is a spirit. That same spirit will talk to you to. That same spirit comes to all of us and points out what is wrong. He has already told you what is wrong with this blog, what is wrong with the way I am speaking, what is wrong with my suit, what is wrong with the scriptures I have used, what was wrong with the song service, what is wrong with the way the benches are placed in the church. He will find something wrong with everything and point it out to us. Now that is not to say we have to be blind to that what is contrary to the Word of God. But our attitude will make the difference. Our attitude will determine which thoughts we will embrace, and which ones we will reject.

We as Christians need to have the attitude that the Bible is our absolute and every word is true. Then we need to act on that thought. We need to claim every promise in the Bible as our own. Regardless of what the physical circumstances seem to be, we as children of God have a right and a duty to stand upon the revealed word of God. We have an inheritance in Christ Jesus and since it is by his grace and not of ourselves it does not matter how unworthy we are, we still have full right and access to it. We are not saved because we were worthy but because He IS worthy. He overcame death, hell and the grave for us and we have free access to the holiest of holies today. He is our perfect, unblemished sacrifice. We are not covered by our own dirty blood, but by the holy, perfect blood of Jesus Christ.

What are the thoughts of God towards us? What is the mind of Christ?

The Bible says that we are overcomers! The Bible says that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus! The Bible says that we are saved! The Bible says that we are healed! The Bible says that we are delivered! The Bible says that all of our sins, past, present and future are forgiven! The Bible says that we are sitting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! The Bible says that we are the elected lady, the Bride of Jesus Christ, the predestinated children of God! The Bible says that we have eternal life! The Bible says that God will rapture us before the tribulation falls! The Bible says the dead in Christ shall raise first, incorruptible, and then we who remain will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and be caught up to meet them in the air.

The devil will tell you contrary stories. He will tell you that the signs and wonders were just for the apostles. He will tell you that we don’t need divine healing because we have medicine now. He will tell you that the days of miracles have passed.

Who are you going to listen to? Are you going to listen to the devil? NO! Rebuke him! The Bible says resist the devil and he shall flee from you. Resist the devil with the Word of God just as Jesus did in the desert. You are an overcomer! You have the victory.

When the devil tells you that you are sick, rebuke him. The Bible says that by His stripes I am healed. “Oh, but you feel sick”. I am healed! “But you have swelling and pain”. I am healed! “But the doctors have given it a name, and it’s a bad one because you can’t even pronounce it”. I am Healed. Get thee behind me satan! By His stripes I am healed.

“You have sinned and God hates you”. All my sins are in the sea of God’s forgetfulness! I am covered by the blood of the lamb! “You are serpent’s seed”. If I was serpent’s seed I would not even believe in serpent’s seed doctrine in the first place! Get thee hence Satan you are defeated, you are exposed, you are a liar and God’s truth has exposed you as a fraud.

The devil is a liar. Everything he tells you is a lie. The mere fact that he is bothering you and telling you these lies is the proof that you are a child of God. The devil never bothers those in the world, he already got them. He wants you and he comes to meet you in the battlefield of the human mind. Our defense is the word of God. Our defense is to control our thoughts, to reject the lies of the devil and to cling to and claim the promises of God.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Do you get it? So what are we going to think about from now on?

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

And let us close with one final thought to add to this scripture.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Think on these things.
